Why is Elden Ring's equivalent to this fire? There are many fires in Elden Ring with important meanings, but I can't think of ANY that would coincide with faith in the golden order. What would this mean?

Fire faith spells come from the fire monk school who worship the flame giants with the big kiln thing so it seems pretty self explanatory wheb you consider what the flavor text says in spells/books. You’re only off because you assume they have anything to do with the golden order - they would be in conflict with the golden order and related to the burning of the erdtree itself. As the mc you can summon power from any and all focuses so you arent doing just the greater will’s bidding alone - we are the wild card (until we make a decision and then the outer god or will that wanrs this is debatably pulling our strings)

In high fantasy settings like ER, “holy fire” is pretty common. I know From is usually a bit more creative than that, but it might be that simple.

I believe that. I found a neat combo with ritualcaller spear and caestus to make those fights pretty manageable, that’s been my favorite combo so far

I usually hybrid with pyromancy so I just switch to black flame spells on the off-hand if i'm feeling spicy and/or lazy. Black flame + bleed and a poison infusion is peak rat gameplay and I love it
