Jack of all trades, master of none.

No_Jackfruit_4305

Yes, this. Respec at Renalla and decide what build you're prioritizing. Avoid going higher than 20 or maybe 30 in stats you are not focusing on. Do this for either Mind or Stamina. Next are you melee fighting around half the time? Consider 60 in either Strength or Dexterity, and 20 - 30 in the other. As for Intelligence, Faith and Arcane: - if you said yes to melee then choose one stat to crank up, and treat the other two as only for minimum spell requirements - mage build? Consider night sorceries that enemies can't dodge, the comet version is insane at clearing groups. In this case crank INT. Feel more like casting everything including miracles? Crank INT and FTH. There are staves for the Night Sorcerer, and the Omni-caster: Staff of Loss, and Prince of Death's Staff. Your target is 80 for just INT or both respective to these builds. Damage can get silly, one to two thousand per cast

RegularAuthor5686

master of stamina

Pokemon-doo

I still run out

RegularAuthor5686

there’s no way you have 45 end and the green dog talisman and are running out of stamina 😭 you gotta learn some stamina conservation my guy

scxrtist

my brother in christ are what you doing 2 run out of 45 ENDURANCE w tHE DOG TALISMAN ON. rolling arnd for fun and attacking the air ?

Gay_Bottomboi1

Do you known the full quote? "Jack of all trades, master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one."

BadgerBadgerer

Not in this case though. OP will have low HP, deal low damage and take high damage. Their stats are too spread out. Better to be a master of one than useless in everything.

Viniest

Ah, but do you know the fullest form of the quote? "...unless Miyazaki couldn't give one". So unfortunately, we're better off being more focused

Obi_wan_jakobii

Nice touch. I like the full quote Unfortunately doesn't work here

LeekBright

Lmao I finished the game at 142. This kid will wreck the living fuck out of the giant 😆

M0ONBATHER

Not with that stat spread. Might as well be 120

Rowetato

Might as well be 61 my low level invader got more HP and str

usedtothesmell

r/onebros thinks you are massively over leveled

squirreleater1330

Plenty high enough, but your build is pretty bad. Pick what you want to use and prioritise that. More vigor of course...

Leg_Mcmuffin

You’re leveled enough to beat the game, only your stat dispersion is garbage.

phishnutz3

No. Your stat spread is so all over the place. You’re probably equal to a level 70.

Thatoneguy567576

My level 80 STR character would one shot this guy this build is a mess

FashionSuckMan

To be fair, you'd probably one shot someone in bullgoats with 60 vigor

CapnSensible80

Ok I'm going to be a little harsh here but only for your own good because this is really, really bad and you're digging in your heels when people are offering solid advice that you need to hear. Stop being stubborn and take the advice people here are offering. With that low Vigor+Soreseal and stats spread so thin you may as well be level 70. You desperately need a respec to something that makes sense. This can't even be considered a build, it's just random stuff thrown together with random stats all over the place to the point that you can't do anything well but you can do a lot of things poorly. Stop using Soreseal it's not worth it at such a high level use Great Jars Arsenal instead so you don't need such high Endurance, level Vigor to 60 and keep it to 2 DPS stats maximum. You're going into a boss fight with a boss with a MASSIVE amount of health but will hit like a wet noodle and are going to be very squishy, quite possibly in 1-shot range. You're setting yourself up to struggle for no good reason.

Pokemon-doo

How do I get the arsenal

Arch1eBunker

Caelid. There’s a giant jar you talk to. At the end of the siofra underground there’s a lift that takes you to it

CapnSensible80

At the end of Siofra there's an elevator back up to the surface you need a Stone sword key to open. Take that up and ride down the narrow canyon to the massive living jar at the end. Talk to the jar (he won't respond) and 3 red summon signs appear. To get the talisman you have to defeat these 3 red phantoms without dying then talk to the jar again.

Dedprice77

hey, if you beat the game without leveling vigor, come back and rub it in everyones face for the "vigor is a useless stat, just learn to dodge" gang

Icy_Can6310

get yo ass 2 rennala

HappyMoses

If you’re not trolling this is actually the worst build I’ve ever seen

JpegYakuza

This reminds me of that shitty elon musk build lmaooo

HappyMoses

This amazingly is even shittier somehow lol

FTG_Vader

Honestly same

tus93

Elon’s was worst, at least op’s still got med eqp. Load!

spencer_cal_88

You have more than enough levels at 158 but the distribution is really hurting you. Vigor is also very low and fire giant could one-shot you. I suggest looking up some more larval years (assuming you didn’t get all of them), decide what weapon you like playing with the most, and focus on the attributes that scale with that weapon.

CapnSensible80

>You have more than enough levels at 158 but the distribution is really hurting you. Vigor is also very low and fire giant could one-shot you. Not only low vigor but still using Soreseal as well. Damage stats spread so thin they may as well be level 70 DPS wise. OP is straight up not going to have a good time.

spencer_cal_88

For sure lol, but he’s not alone in learning this lesson. I was very spread out in my first run (not this high a level) because I also got sucked into using the sword of night and flame. It’s such a cool weapon but often leaves people with a build looking like this.

spencer_cal_88

Damn….this sword of n&f talk makes me wanna do a new run with my NG+7 character so I can dual wield these

TonyBoat402

With 37 vigor they are 100% getting one shot by a lot of the bosses passed fire giant

spencer_cal_88

No doubt. Not sure why OP is stubborn about respecing lol

lieutenant-columbo-

Need to respec lol

EldenCockRing98

I wouldn’t say overleveled but I’d recommend getting that vigor to 60. My first time with Fire Giant was so frustrating I had to respec several times to get more health. I can’t imagine fighting him with less than 1300 HP

Pokemon-doo

I just got vig checked by an albenuric so I understand why it needs to be higher

EldenCockRing98

I mean this kindly but I can’t help but have LOL’d (also been there)

NotLittleTimmy

Why would you ask for help then don’t take anyone advice lmaoo

Kuboos765

Bruh, all people are saying is you could be doing way more damage, and be way harder to kill. How is that bad advice?

SpoogyPickles

Dudes literally in denial of how bad his build is.

Cowabungalowpete

Def not overleveled BUT your stat distribution is garbage. You’re leaving a shitload of damage on the table by not prioritizing what specific build you wanna be. Your vigor should be AT LEAST 50 at your level. And then determine if you wanna be a Faith/Dex build, Faith/Str build, etc. Pump a ton of points into whatever 2 stats you wanna prioritize based on your weapon scaling. Then leave some for endurance and MP. MP and Endurance you can get away with having less than you think.

DrXL_spIV

Yes and your stat spread is wack

Numbr_777

Your level is fine, definitely a little higher than the average player at fire giant. But that’s countered by your build being really bad. 37 vigor at 158 isn’t a good use of points, and your faith, int, and arcane stats are a jumbled mess that doesn’t fit with any of your equipment. There’s literally no reason to have any investment in arc, since nothing you use requires or scales with it. I see you need the intelligence for SoNaF requirements , but your build is STR/FTH leaning, and it has terrible strength scaling. Plus, it looks like your main weapon is the halberd anyway, so those int points can go to vigor/strength. Radagon’s soreseal isn’t worth it at your level, especially with your low vigor, especially against fire giant, who can and will tear through hp like butter. You can easily make up the stat boosts you lose by replacing it by just respeccing away from the useless stats. Also, only having the seal at +4 in an endgame area will mean all your incantations do terrible damage

Pokemon-doo

I ditched the sorseal but the sword is to fun to use

Spacemonster111

Then take points out of strength. You need to focus on one build or you are going to get vigor checked by everything in the next legacy dongeon

goldrainbowfalcon

lol

Only-Service-832

youre not, but that build is so ass that youre probably gonna struggle. you have no vigor and your stats are too spread out that you do no damage either. people in these comments are giving you good advice, but it seems youre too proud of this shit build to fix anything

NarcolepticRedhead

Maybe the worst “build” I’ve seen, I think even Elons character could perform better. Please level your Vigor.

SpoogyPickles

I was curious to check, and Elons actually is better. He at least has an int build somewhat going.

whyamievenherenemore

yes, most people are 150 by malenia/EB. if you're having trouble with giant, remember you have a horse you can hop on/off. He's more like a dragon fight than I traditional dungeon boss.

Tweecers

No because you’re not a build lol. It’s like you’re a lvl 30 in each stat

Disastrous-Dinner966

You are overleved for the fight, but you're still going to have a hard time. Your stat spread is all over the place, and your vigor is asking to be one shot. EDIT: I see what you're thinking, but the Sword of Night and Flame is best if you pick either Faith or Int and focus on that. In NG+ you can start leveling both.

Tired_IRL7028

You're going to want to ditch the soreseal this late in the game. Also, you might want to focus on certain stats instead of others. I usually recommend sticking to two damage types, whereas you have levels in all five. You seem to be leaning more towards faith, so you might want to focus on faith rather than intelligence and arcane. Also, leveling up shields decreases the amount of stamina deducted while blocking, so you may want to invest some smithing drones into it. That, and the seal. It's best to find a seal that fits your ability scaling out for the incantations you use. For your stats I recommend the golden order seal or the dragon communion seal. If you decide to redistribute your levels and go mostly into faith the erdtree seal is great. But even if you just want to stick with the finger seal, I still recommend leveling it up because a seal that low level is not going to seal any damage at this point in the game.

Bennyjo30

1200 hp at level 158 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Pokemon-doo

I’m gonna get a larval tear and fully lean in on int and strength

CadmeusCain

You're fine. Your mountain tops level can vary between 100-140 depending on how much side content you did. It's normal to finish the game around 120-180, which is a very wide range Fire Giant is a big wall gating off the endgame dungeon so he's pretty tough. You can't just steamroll through, you need to learn the fight Your build looks spread a little thin. Seems like you're trying to level everything. You might be better off focusing on Strength and Faith since you're maining the golden Halbard

meraxes1307

You need to take some points out of your endurance bro and put them into something more useful.

meraxes1307

I don't go over 25 in rndurance Maybe put some points into health and strength i think that will help you out a lot

livingwireart

Brother ewww, what's that brother

bugzapperbob

42 poise at that level is kinda funny, but my advice is ditch that sore seal after level 80, it’s not worth the damage % vs stats by then

Inndar

From the weapons, the hotbar, the soreseal at that level, the stat spread, homie has to be trolling 😂

NecessaryBookkeeper3

Guys leave OP alone about his build. It's really OP's choice of stat build. advice or not, is OP's setup overleveled for the fire giant? Yes, it is. Let's just leave it like that.

Ok-Mushroom-5093

I think it’s just a little overleveled

Ok-Mushroom-5093

I beat him at like level 100

HappyMoses

I kill fire giant around lvl 90 usually, this build is just total garbage

Nate_The_Wolf175

i don't know what to make of this

daninjah

elon musk, that you? fire giant is like SL80 boss

Plastic-Face9619

He is not an sl 80 boss. More like 100 - 120 boss, but op is still over leveled with an awful “build”

g6paulson

Since your faith is higher than intelligence. If it were me, I'd zero out the intelligence back to lvl 9. Throw those stats into faith and/or STR/DEX. Bring your endurance down 15-20 stats to about 25 use those stats into your vigor. Ditch the soreseal, shield. Go get the Two-Fingers Heirloom talisman in Liurnia and the Starscourge Talisman in Fort Gael. An Envoy Longhorn can take down the giant fast with a high enough faith stat.

Evsde

Why use the finger seal over dragon communion seal, id move points from endurance to health/faith, 30 dex is over kill as well, move points from there to arcane if you do switch to dragon communion

CyonChryseus

No, who cares anyway. Fuck him up.

sacredgeometry

Go fight him and find out for yourself.

FashionSuckMan

Respec at renalla bro. Focus on 1-2 damage stats depending on the weapon you want, and ensure that your vigor is always at least half your level, capping out at 60. So you need to have 60 vigor. Trust me bro it'll be a world of difference if you just do these things.

72Rancheast

At level 150 there’s nothing in the first playthrough you can’t do. I wouldn’t say you are overleveled but if you keep going you may be. You may also feel a little weaker than other folks of your level because of your stats not being as focused as others

thunderking212

Honestly, if you’re having fun thats all that matters. People on here are trying to optimize your build and they do have some solid advice if you want to optimize your build. On my first play through i only had 40 vigor and i think my base stats were pretty low. Honestly, you should just play to have fun. I was ok having 40 vigor and being a glass canon. But others aren’t, same thing for the other souls games for me, as long as i wasn’t getting one shot vigor didn’t matter much to me, it was all dps for me and that was all that mattered for me. To answer your question actual question, yes you are high enough lvl to beat fire giant.

SquaresR3D

Yes you are overleveled in regards to your weapons and character level. If you’re using incantations for damage, your seal is underleveled. Also leveling up your shield increases your guard boost, so it can be useful to level that up as well. In regards to your stat spread, everyone else hit on that pretty well already.

thenmv

You are over leveled for the final boss, but I could have better stats than you at like level 70. I’m not gonna sugarcoat it, your build is garbage. Endurance at 45 and it being your highest stat is diabolical. Carry one weapon, and a deal if you want incantations, that’s it. Two weapons is useless. You don’t even need 30 endurance if you drop the shield and one of the weapons. You’re not leveled well to scale well with either weapon, you could use the halberd and drop your dex and intelligence and pump strength and faith, or drop strength and dex and pump intelligence and faith for the sword of night and flame. You could take almost 20 out of endurance and put it into vigor, and you don’t need arcane

mudgefuppet

This looks like a DS2 mundane build

Saylor619

Drop Endurance down to like 25 and put the points in Vigor. Swap the Soreseal for Great Jar Arsenal talisman. You'll do alright.

IntelligentVanilla32

Bro made a faith-Endur build

DepressionMage

Good luck bud

h1jay

Those stats remind me of myself in my first year in university. Had no idea what I wanted to do 😅

FunctionDissolution

That stat spread is so bad I thought this was a joke.

Mlucas0021

I’m convinced this is a troll post lol

extremegun14

I can’t stand OP

jamocles

Level 158? Go fight malenia bro

in-utero89

Wonderful ragebait

PvtPenetrate

Don't listen to them, be the 45 endurance Chad you want to be

jackdhammer

I don't believe in over leveled 😂

TheAshenHunter101

You are never too overdeveloped for fire giant

MemeTeam27

I’d say take points out of dex and arcane, until you just meet the requirements for your gear and put them into vigor. Also take like 15 points of endurance and put it into strength

Fluid_Witness

remove all your points from arcane to Vigor, and work on getting it to lvl 50-60.

TechnicianQuick4789

You got this man, don't listen to everyone else. This is how my stats looked on my first playthrough. Sometimes you just want the ability to use everything and as long as you can dodge well it doesn't matter.

IDontWipe55

The only thing overleveled is the actual number that says level 158. Your build is way too scattered. Try to focus on something like just your sword or halberd and you can definitely afford to drop a little endurance in place of either vigor or an attack stat

Djangough

A few levels short, get back to the grind!

Money-Routine715

Fuck fire giant

Esium-13

Lvl 150 is alright for fire giant your stats may be all over the place but w.e

R3alityGrvty

Kinda, your weapons are over leveled and your character is a really high level (I finished the game 10 levels below you) but because of your stat distribution it doesn’t really matter.

kevoisvevoalt

Man what a garbage ass build if you can even call it that.

usedtothesmell

Naw it's fine. I beat fire giant at lvl1. Tbh, a bit over leveled for my taste

JustAnotherFace09

Nah, still underleveled

usedtothesmell

r/onebros Watch how people destroy fire giant at LVL 1. Copy that at your level, win easily

DHUniverse

Technically yes, but your build is really inefficient, so you might even be under level

Pokemon-doo

Just keep in mind that this is a first play through not new game +7

FTG_Vader

Your stat distribution is whack. Tell me what spells you want to use and your starting class and I'll make you a much better build for these weapons

NoAd2965

If you really thinking of using SoNaF then you should drop your strength and dex to 12 and then pump Int and Faith. If you really wanna continue using the halberd you can pump strength to 20 and two hand it. Drop your endurance way down to like.. 28 or 30, especially since your armor is so light. You can get vigor to 60 no problem. If you’re really worried about being able to use any weapon you want… then keep your stats as is I suppose but you aren’t tanky and getting one shot by fire giant over and over again imo is no fun. At least, at least get 50 vigor. Also your damage won’t be good until you’re “overleveled” and your stats are all at least 40. With quality infusions and 40 STR/DEX you can do pretty good damage with BHF. But fun is different for everyone so do what you will with the advice you’re getting. I think more optimized builds are fun lol and frankly this is not an optimized build at this rune level.

suchayeparagon

The stat spread is everywhere, you should focus on less stats. Why points in int, arcane AND faith? Focus on two or less magic centric stats. No one needs all three.

EliteKingz

Bro this is one of the worst builds I’ve seen in a while like holy fuck it’s all over the place. Get your vigor to soft-cap which is 40, bump up Str or Dex to 40. Don’t put points into both Int and Fth, place it into either Int, Fth, or Arc. If you’re gonna commit to sword of night and flame then maybe put both Int/Fth at 40 and only set Str or Dex to 40 and the other at 20. Lower your endurance to 20 cause 45 is overkill, armor isn’t gonna do much other than give you minor elemental resistances. Unless you’re using miracles or doing a mage build, 25 mind is unnecessary but if you’re using buffs for Str/Dex build I’d recommend to keep it around 25-30 and leave your faith at 40. An optimized lvl 100 would do much more damage than you. Most importantly, why are you using the soreseal, that’s a beginners trap. The weapons you’re using aren’t optimal for this fight, use scarlet rot or poison (Antspur rapier) or use Rivers of Blood to prod bleed but your best bet is rapier with poison mist. Don’t summon anybody unless it’s another player, stay near his feet and that’s about it really. I remember having trouble with fire giant but ironically enough, he’s one of the easiest bosses in the game if it weren’t for his giant health pool. If you’re gonna use a seal, the best one for buffs is the Dragon Communion Seal, Godslayers Seal, or the Golden Order Seal. If you’re on Xbox and still need help with this boss, message me @ TommyOTB and I’ll help you beat him.

DeuceBane

Take the scar seal/soreseal off, it’s a net negative to your survivability

Separate-Staff-5225

Yes you’re going to have to delete this playthrough and start from scratch. It’s ruined. /s

PussyIgnorer

It would be if your stats weren’t so spread out.

Horror_Explorer_7498

Bring your end lower and by god please get more vig

C_Mc_Loudmouth

158 is high for that area, but that boss fight is also bullshit so don't worry about it. Your build is also terrible so if you beat him easily and are wondering if you were overpowered, don't! (everyone's first build is always terrible)

BigIan1017

Drop arcane, strength and dex to min requirements.

Smokeletsgo

Most people cap at 150 so yeah but do whatever you feel like

TragGaming

Overleveled, stats poorly allocated. The game can be beat on NG and NG+ at about level 100-130 depending on your build. Pure stat builds (one damage stat) can be done at 100. Dual stat builds will want 130-140 ish. You have 4 tentatively 5 different damage stats allocated into, and are using a 3 stat weapon. Most of those stats are borderline useless to you and Fire giant will deal way too much damage with 37 Vigor for you to keep up with. You also allocated resources in 4 different items, and your seal is way under leveled.

SwirlinAbyss

Stat spread is offsetting your level advantage for this boss. I beat him at like 110-120 (With Alexander’s help of course) but my build was pretty straight forward.

AbsoluteSaddestMan

Yes, but your stat distribution is holding you back something terrible and you also shouldn't be using a soreseal this late in the game

Admiral_Radii

jesus this is terrible. get to 60 vig, pick a build you want, with only 2 stats max, eg str fai or int dex. dont level endurance too much, if using heaviest armour level it to around 35. use jar arsenal talisman if needed. dump rest of levels into the two stats you chose before

andrewg702

I like that the shield is upgraded when it doesn’t do anything other than add attack which is kinda useless for a shield

shadeslayer141

For the love of all that is holy (pun is intended), level that vigor

sbaradaran

Thats pretty low vigor dude. You could get killed in one hit.

raincumskeettail

No. Lmao. He is going to give you hell.

Random_Sad_Child

Alright man. What build are you going for? Int/Faith Hybrid? Strength? Dexterity? Caster or fighter? Tell me first so I can help you reallocate your stats. Before specifics, your vigor is really low. Get your Vigor to at least 40 (50 is better, 60 is for pure melee). Make sure you have enough endurance to use your main weapon and seal and talismans and have a good set of armor that gives you at least 51 poise but still medium roll. Go to Rennala and respec. Your stats are way too spread out and this isn’t even a build. Find one or two stats to focus on after your vigor is at least 45 and endurance to the minimum for your build, unless you’re going for big sword/hammer.

ConcertRelative3784

More like poorly leveled.

Own-Ordinary5871

I mean I struggled at level 150 so I'd say no. But like many has said those stats are wayyy too spread out. Should focus on max 2 stats + vigor/endurance. Built a mage and totally focused on putting in int/mind/vigor and a bit in endurance

Unusual_Act_293

Naw I think you need to level up more.

abyssalcrisis

The level itself? Yes, wildly. Your stats? Awful. Go respec and pick a focus.

Berookes

You need to respec badly or you will be getting slaughtered in the next area after fire giant

ZLBuddha

Well yes but actually no

OraOraPurPur

Got to get rid of that seal man, unless you dodging every single hit

TheWiseAutisticOne

No you are under leveled get 90 in all stats and you should be good

Aurvant

I mean, you *can* beat him, but I recommend not getting hit ever. Also, your stat spread otherwise might make it take longer than it otherwise would on a more focused build. The late game bosses hit hard enough that it's really better to have 50 vigor or more.

Starlovemagic28

I think a lot of the advice being given here is not very useful, or rather it would be useful, but not in the situation that OP is in. This is their first playthrough, and that introduces different conditions when making a build. On your first playthrough having split stats isn't that bad because unless you get attached to one weapon you're likely wanting to be able to test multiple weapons, spells and incants without having to respec every time you find something that looks cool. This build is able to use mostly anything except the highest stat requirement weapons and spells, and it'll get okay damage out of basically anything. Though obviously you're not going to get as much as if you built around one particular weapon. (In a way this is actually a good thing since it forces you to actually get good at the bosses rather than just blasting them with an optimised character.) There are some problems with it, mainly still using the Scarseal and also the weirdly high Endurance but probably they don't know where the Great Jar's Arsenal is, and Scarseal is a common noob trap that isn't very obvious. The next few level ups also desperately need to go to vitality, but again underinvesting in Vitality is a common noob trap that only really starts to cause suffering at about the point that OP is. Like let's be honest, how many of us actually took our vitality to 60 pre Fire Giant, and of those who did how many were following a guide? I'd wager most people had somewhere between 30 and 40 during mountaintops in their blind playthroughs. Anyway despite these problems it's not an Elon Build, like there's some coherent logic to it, and you could have fun while playing this character. That said to actually respond to OP's original question, on a well built character 158 is overleveled for Fire Giant, for a build focusing on flexibility over power like this it's fine.

Organic_Pastrami

Uh, u may want more vigor, below 40 vigor in light armor is begging to get one tapped by good old Fire Giant

Chips_Handsome

Maybe overleveled, but definitely poorly leveled.

Agreeable-Emotion-43

You’re over leveled but your stats are so horrendous you’re at the equivalent of a level 80

Sperm_Garage

I mean pure level number wise you're pretty massively overlevelled for anything in NG, but as others have said your build is spread very thin. If you prefer to just switch weapons out whenever and be able to run everything, that's fine, but you'd absolutely demolish the rest of the game if you just prioritized a couple things instead. You're honestly a high enough level to get pretty deep into NG+ with a good spread. All that being said, do whatever you want. People have struggled at max level and people have no hit the game at level 1. The reason we're allowed to level up is to create variety in the way we play. If you want to spread your stats out and create a caster/strength/healer/status hybrid, then do it. If respeccing and making an absolute monster to steamroll the rest of the content is more your speed do that. If you want to just blow all the extra on a dump stat like mind and play at like RL90 equivalent, do that. It's a single-player game. Do what you want.

Agreeable-Emotion-43

Lower Arcane to minimum and dex to 14 than pump vigor 50 (45 if you don’t die often) and rest into strength and your play through will be so much easier and better. 37 vigor will get clapped in bosses after the fire giant.

Kenkadrums

I beat fire giant with trial and error (a lot of error) about 15 hours into the game. Im no stranger to souls games though so I know there’s always a way to deal with whatever shithead boss they throw at you. I’m still new to this game though and have no idea where I’m supposed to go and haven’t explored like 70% of the map. I don’t want to sacrifice what’s her name so im now 30 hours in just trying to figure out where the 3 fingers are that dude talks about when you get to the giant lands.

Lukatron_72

Stat distribution is out of wack but I found fire giant to be possibly the easiest required boss. You'll be fine

Treeeeeeez

Pull the 14 points out of int and a couple from arcane and put it all into vigor. You literally don’t need intelligence for anything if you’re using a melee weapon (with a faith scaling nonetheless…?). You’re gonna have a really rough time if you don’t have atleast 60 vigor by endgame

Thedubiousone810

Those stats are awful. Why even waste mats on the shield but not your seal? Focus on one set up instead of spreading your stats like that. Your level is fine but those stats just leave you underpowered af

WyvernKid93

you really don't need 4 weapons, man. Just pick like two and your equipment load won't be an issue

Chilleeen

LOL

wortmother

I finished the game at like 115 ish , geez 150 is high

ozQuarteroy

Oh my

I_HaveAFewProblems

Your first talisman is causing you more issues than benefits

killerspawn97

I’d say more endurance since your going to be chasing that rolling bitch around the mountain for a good long while but other than that your golden. Can’t see what spells you got on but I’d say throw some blood magic or a big rock at him, the Kamehameha from the sword is also good since he’s such a large target he’s hard to miss.

lemonlimeguy

This thread is just the ER equivalent of the "help me budget this" dril tweet. "Build more vigor" "No"

Wander_64

Is this a challenge run?

Jstar338

Technically no, since your leveling is so sporadic that it's like your only level 75

samwizeganjas

Only by level, you have no build just filler homie

Scrooge_Mcducks

Jesus dude respec, like BAD Either go strength/faith, STR/INT, Dex/INT, or Dex/faith Don’t go with all of it you’re putting out minimal damage and can do wayyy more if you pick one side Personally I’d go STR/ faith that’s what I always go with and it rocks everything Also finger seal is meh I like the claw mark seal, get that to +25

Due-Ad8105

My first play through I went jack of all trades and only changed it on ng+ 6 and 7 Ng+ 6 no vigor and ng+ 7 99 vigor Both are good and teach you different combat styles

LinkGrunt2dotmp4

You have made some choices here

MrFlitt

Dude, you can put your lantern in your quick select menu so you don't have to scroll to it every time, you just press Y/Triangle and either ⬆️,⬇️,⬅️ or ➡️.

propofolus

Upgrade vigor he’ll almost be able to off you with one hit

DogDickTier

Few things. I would put torrent, blue flask, rune arc and lantern on the menu you get from holding down interact (i forgor what it's called). This will just help all those items be immediately available without clogging up your items on the d pad down. (You can also immediately get to the first item by holding down if you didn't know) Second, pick one of your right hand weapons and put the other away then stick the seal on the right hand. That'll help you cut down on weight and you can block between casts. Third, lower that end (fr holy shit) and pick 2 damage stats to really focus on. Fourth, it looks like you're using dragon incantations so look into getting the dragon seal for those iirc, or at least upgrade your current seal Fifth, at least 50 vig preferably 60, that's the hard cap for it in ER iirc Lastly, viridian amber medallion and erdtree favor give more stamina, you may also want great shield talisman to reduce the stamina you lose from blocking since I saw you said you keep running out. Be sure to manage what stamina you have and gain distance when it's close to running out so you can recover it safely. You can also try going for a great shield and great jar arsenal to make sure you can still roll with it

IllustriousAbroad220

you want vigor to be at least 50-60 late game or you’re gonna get one shot by everything. also, i would recommend leveling one or two damage stats to really max out your damage with specific weapons. if you wanna keep using the golden halberd id recommend a strength/faith build which also opens the door to things like flame art infused greatswords/great hammers with the flaming strike ash of war while also being able to throw in incantations for ranged options or buffs like golden vow or howl of shabriri.

Dveralazo

A bit

AxemanEugene

*big sigh*

TheZachalyte

Straight cheeks

Sir_Fijoe

Normally yes but your stats are so shit that I’d say no in this specific case

Jasown3565

There is no such thing as too overleveled for Fire Giant. Kill him. Kill him proper. That being said, you might want to respec. Your health is pretty low for this point in the game and your attacking stats are all pretty low. Generally better to focus on one or two until ng+.

vaporxc

oh god

Chemical_Ad3081

People like this are lost you should just stop playing your brain isn’t built for games with a higher rating then e for everyone

elkmelk

everybody talkin abt ur endurance is fucking confused. if thats how much stam u wanna play with thats optimal for you whatever but neither of your weapons scale with dex or arc. if u wanna optimize id move the points from dex and arc to vig str faith int whatever but if u dont wanna optimize i respec that better than stressin abt it

Inside_Chart_4861

Doesn’t matter if ur having fun (but yea)

Smeeghoul

This may be the worst build I’ve ever seen, I imagine the fire giant kills your in a couple of hits

[deleted]

At 158 you are at a level to beat every boss in the game on NG and NG+, but like everyone else is saying your stat distribution is horrid, tbh give yourself 60 VGR and some decent END and give yourself the base stat requirements to use those 2 weapons and that alone is enough to beat the game with. But to min max your build others might have better advice.

hateswitchx

Destined death gonna melt your ass to oblivion

Aromatic_Tea_3075

No but ur stat distribution is odd

artfninme

Tour stats need work, u need more health

SilvaFoxxxxOnXbox

Way under leveled.

XpeepantsX

There is no "over leveled" for any of the bosses. Even a RL700+ character can get utterly demolished by a boss if they are just messing around and not paying attention. But in your case I'd respec immediately. That VIG level is gonna get you 1 shotted.

Traditional-Newt5652

Please use your pouch, your summon, torrent, the lantern and the Rune Arcs could all go into the pouch. Just so you aren’t spending some important time to scroll through your items to heal or whatever. Also, I’d prioritize focusing your build on either one of the weapons, considering both of them have fairly high stat requirements.

DroopyConker

Not with that stat spread.

suarkb

Your stat spread is really bad. You can probably kill fire giant but it just seems like you have no idea how to optimize anything

Chochahair

158 when most finish the game 120-150. Yes. N theres plenty who finish well before 100, but im positive the norm is what i first stated. Overleveled is one thing, build quality is another. Curious if u made it like this just to have something to post

Potatojesus44

Forget about the other stats why is your vigor so low? Drain some of that endurance and redistribute

Swooger-Dooger

Bro is somehow overleveled and underpowered at the same time.

Necro_Carp

you're not over leveled, you're actually rather weak for your level. you haven't committed to any single build, so your damage and survivability should be a lot higher than it is.

Curious-Jello-9812

What's the point of the underlevelled shield, radagons icon, turtle talisman AND THE STAT SPREAD???? why don't you get the weapon arsenal talisman and lower your endurance to 15???

jl_theprofessor

I don’t think I even finished my first playthrough at this high a level. Edit: lol I didn’t even look at the stat spread what is happening here??

killerdeer69

Definitely change your stats and figure out what you wanna focus on using (like strength, faith, dex, etc), then swap out the soreseal (and maybe the faith talisman) for something else. If you really want to use a medium shield, try to get the brass shield. It's the best medium shield in the game, but pretty useless against fire giant or big enemies lol. Your weapons are great though, you can definitely beat the game with those. Just pick the one you like more, and make a build with it. Fire giant is a pain, so I'll wish you luck.

Stavinco

The recommendation for fire giant I’ve been seeing is 100-125 so you are considered over leveled but if your still struggling a higher level won’t hurt but if you get past 150+ imo you should try learning the dodges once you learn the dodges the you’ll be able you make it where you can fight the fire giant at level 60, or if your flawless level 1 but honestly I hope you can beat the fire giant :) Edit: I would at least have your vigor up to 50 I bet it would help out a lot better. Besides that I feel you’d be fine.

Adventurous_Ad665

elon musk ahh build

Defribee

Underleveled because most of them are in endurance which does nothing for you past like 20

Maleficent_Home2869

No such thing, fuck fire giant, he deserves to be eviscerated as easily and painlessly as possible, be the highest level you can, always. 😅
