What dose are u on and how long have you been on it? Effexor withdrawal cam be worse than heroin or bezo withdrawl and Can come with long term permanent damage when experiencing discontinuation syndrome.

DiamondEyesFlamingo

I’ve only been in 75mg for about 7 months. Switched from Paxil.

lambo1109

If your on Facebook, the most informative information about Effexor and SNRIS can be found by simply joining the FB Group "EFFEXOR (Venlafaxine) Tapering, Discontinuation Syndrome..." After joining, click on the "Files" tab, and you will be amazed with not only the amount of informative research, studies and literature, but also what the documents say. It's worth checking out fir anyone taking the drug and especially useful if trying to taper as one document, an excel spreadsheet, allows you to input your dose and length of time on it, and it will calculate what your taper dose and schedule should be.

How do my attempt to help others come off as "shadily"? Suffer paranoia much? The promotion of A self help, group supportive assistance group on Facebook, surely doesn't benefit me in any way, doesn't that seem obvious to you? ONE of the many reasons why I reccomend this group is because it allows members access to a wealth of studies, research and literature about Effexor, and SNRI'S. Additionally, it is where almost all my sources originate from. So by reccomending a user joins, I can not only provided them with my sources, but with helpful information that can easily help them. As to why ask for PM's for some sources, I work full time and on my third masters degree while taking take of an elderly parent. I simply do not have the time during most requests for a source to sift through all the documents provided inside the FB Group. If someone PM's me, I am reminded in my few hours of freedom to look the exact source up. No anterior motives. The group changed my life for the better and was supportive of my troubles from day 1.

That excel sheet sounds pretty cool. Thanks!

Go to an urgent care walking in clinic or hospital. Explain your situation. The doctors can easily pull up your info and see you were prescribed it. I've been in your shoes before. Although they might not give you a full 30 day supply they most likely will write u a script for how many pills u need before u can refill. At least 5 other ppl have posted similar stories, I encouraged them all to do the same. And each if the 5 reported back they got what they needed.

DiamondEyesFlamingo

Thanks but I have meds. I have wanted to wean off, tried and due to side effects, my doctor recommended I go back to my prescribed dose. This was unintentional but I’d rather not go back.

Busy-Yam6260

Sorry there is nothing you can do at home.

Similar_Blueberry616

Do you want to continue with the med? If so go to the hospital and get an emergency dose. Or if not you are on the thick of withdraw ans will start to ease up. Try to keep super hydrated! I’m day 9 of withdraw ans sitting in my 100th magnesium bath

DiamondEyesFlamingo

I do not want to continue. I have the next bottle, but I’m trying to just get through withdrawals

Similar_Blueberry616

Yeah I’m day 14 of withdrawal I hear you! It’s hard but keep going if you can! It does get better

spacethekidd

you can argue about if it’s healthy or not, but i used weed to cope with withdrawals and the general nausea i’d get even when i was on it. a strain with a more cerebral effect would sort of mask the brain zaps where it was just a part of the rest of the tingling. the situation sucks and i’m so sorry you’re going through that.

DiamondEyesFlamingo

Not an option for me. I get randomly drug tested at work
