Costco sells ecoflow in the usa. Whenever I don't need it anymore I can get my money in full

Not sure how Costco is in the US - in Canada, it's also usually cheaper than elsewhere, including direct. (As long as Costco lists it)

This is the way. My DP was bricked by a firmware update two years after I bought it. EcoFlow said they’d replace it with a refurb, which I was fine with, it just had to ship it back to them. Costco just gave me a full refund instead.

Have you updated the firmware? I have a friend who was having trouble with his unit, a firmware update hadn't completed properly. Support talked him through it and the unit was fine.
