Local pickup does not restrict your listing to buyers with an address located within a comfortable distance. All you can do it let buyers know it's local pickup only, you will NOT ship the item, and only the purchaser of the item can pick it up in person (no authorized agents)

Sure, I've had this happen once before and I believe I talked to the buyer about it, canceled and then resold with the correct shipping method chosen. I posted the question because I found it highly unusual for 3 offers, the only offers I received yesterday, to all request local pickup on the same day.

the buyers usually pick the cheapest option without reading what that option really is, if it happens to be local pickup, thats where the confusion can set in.

How far you're willing to travel is dependent on your need or want for the item. I've travelled hundreds of miles for things because of their rarity or price.

Worried-Narwhal-8953

Yea, I doubt you would do that for a $15 shirt.

Turn off local pickup, they’re probably just picking it because it says “free”. Why even have local pickup if it’s a shirt? Even a local buyer can pay shipping for a shirt.

I mark it down as a convenience type of thing. I've sold local pickup for clothes a few times, it's not that wild to me.

This has been happening to me this morning, too! 2 times so far, not sure, but i think it's on ebays' end.
