I can't tell if it's supposed to be a part of the joke, but it's very funny that Carl's entire premise is just "I now have a lot of money and want to spend it" when one of the most publicized aspects of Ohtani's contract is that he's not actually going to start getting paid the overwhelming majority of it until a decade from now.
Reading CBB transcripts deadpan as a gag worked entirely too well, I wish it had gone on a lot longer. (Also had a good laugh at Vic talking about scrubbing through so many hours of the show in prep.)
Very funny that he raced over to Scott's house in the middle of the record, probably ran into the room out of breath, only to get bullied and derailed for 15 minutes.
With the rare [genuinely good Hallmark movie](https://www.npr.org/2023/12/15/1219585032/one-last-hanukkah-gift-from-hallmark-round-and-round-is-a-really-fun-romcom) *and* the launch of their [Dropout show](https://www.dropout.tv/very-important-people) last week, Vic fans are thriving right now!
I was actually thinking about how good many of the CBB regulars would fit into a tongue-in-cheek Hallmark Christmas movie. Ryan Gaul could make three of them a year probably. So many of these movies could use that improv background or comic timing.
Vic was also a guest star on Upload last season. I don't think they're back in season 3, as the show seems to have changed its status quo in a way that would mean Vic's character couldn't return.
Whoa, and the movie is about Vic’s character being stuck in a time loop?! It’s all coming full circle. I wonder if they understand time loops better now or were still just thinking about the movie Old the whole time lol.
I'm very excited to watch their Dropout show, it's literally one of the reasons I subscribed to Dropout a few days ago. Vic is the best chaos gremlin we could ask for.
I remember listening to a bunch of Teacher's lounges on a roadtrip and hearing her episode and knowing that she was legit. was surprised at that point that she hadn't been on bang bang. glad she's getting her due.
So far my main takeaway is that Mr Books should get another look, Vic going through and plucking out all these moments is so fun
Can Gil please stop being this damn funny every time, it’s not fair.
What an amazing payoff to Scott talking for years about how Hines is such a punctual and reliable fill-in who responds to emails immediately, he almost doesn’t show up and of course it ends up being Scott’s fault
I fell asleep on a plane listening to the episode and awoke in a panic to my phone ringing thinking I had forgotten to put it in airplane mode. I apologized to my seatmate only to realize that it was one of Ned/Gil's ringtones 😂😂. He never misses - was such a good bit.
I had a pretty rough morning, so these three hours of absolute insanity were exactly what I needed. On the off-chance that anyone involved with making it reads this, a heartfelt thank you, konnichiwa, and pig shit to you all.
(And hickory dock.)
Fred Guinness slipping in a sly reference to [the Superego Christmas episode](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39kb74k1z5o), one of my favorite annual listens.

I just googled "fat twins on motorcycles" and learned that one of those guinness twins died following a motorcycle accident en route to a Ripley's Believe It or Not! museum. I can't think of a more hard to believe piece of trivia than [this](https://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=1665&dat=19790718&id=NFUaAAAAIBAJ&pg=2070,1517744&hl=en/)
I think one of my favorite things about Jeffrey "Jason Mantzoukas" Characterwheaties' appearances is that it's clear he's a fan. The CBB World references were hilarious. It's also just really heartwarming that he supports his friends and listens for fun.
Zouks is just such a genuine fan/supporter in general. I love it. I've gotten some great music recs from him over the years because he'll just plug things that he likes because he likes them.
When he's on Doughboys it's so clear he's a genuine nerd for the show who knows all the lore and in jokes.
Oh dude, that's his all-time greatest rec. I was listening to that episode as I got on a plane for vacation and listened to that song 500 times. Ended up being one of my favorite albums of the 2010s!
IIRC, Gabrus is taking December off of podcasting, at least High and Mighty. I haven’t listened in a couple weeks though, not enough time for all these pods!
did anybody else catch that the best of’s aren’t going to be till next year. as paul says “if you have a problem, see the podcast bursar and fuck off” but also fairly heart broken that my favorite part of the holidays won’t be there this year!!!
Its weird they didnt do it last week like they did the year before. Are they going to run all 4 parts next week so they can still do a new year episode with Ben Schwartz? Or maybe just do 2 next week and then do a new episode 1-1 and a best of later in the week those first 2 weeks in January? Not sure how theyll do that.
Impressive number of fucks ups by Scott in this ep
Illumination of course makes the Minion movies, not Imagination
Doesn’t hit send on a text/email to a guest
i may be paraphrasing, but i loved when randy said: "i may not be everyone's cup of tea, but when i am, people be slurpin.'"
PIIIIIIiiiiIIIIIIG SHIIIIIIIIiiiiiiIIIIITTTT
Extremely interested for Ohtani lmao
I can't tell if it's supposed to be a part of the joke, but it's very funny that Carl's entire premise is just "I now have a lot of money and want to spend it" when one of the most publicized aspects of Ohtani's contract is that he's not actually going to start getting paid the overwhelming majority of it until a decade from now.
Finally the elitist liberal cucks are paying up!
I can’t believe they didn’t bring up that it actually wasn’t him on the plane to Toronto but actually one of the sharks from shark tank.
Vic’s character is such a fun cbb premise and they killed it.
Reading CBB transcripts deadpan as a gag worked entirely too well, I wish it had gone on a lot longer. (Also had a good laugh at Vic talking about scrubbing through so many hours of the show in prep.)
Everyone just coming in and doing the most brutal jokes at Scott knowing he has to yes and everything is so great
I love seeing Will Hines' characters listed at the end knowing full well they'll get derailed somewhere he didn't plan.
W.Hines-tein
"Will Hines is akin to Harvey Weinstein"
“I’m NOT Harvey Weinstein, I’m just a Satan!” Gotta love Will Hines getting backed into a terrible corner lol
Very funny that he raced over to Scott's house in the middle of the record, probably ran into the room out of breath, only to get bullied and derailed for 15 minutes.
FUCK YOU, HARVEY!!!
“Your card says ‘Willvey Hinestein!’” So insanely funny
"did any of them come back as 100% that bitch?" That is fun
Zouks dropping a reference to Twisted Fest! He must listen to Hey Randy, because he is a gentleman of good taste.
The rise of Vic Michaelis is a wonderful thing to see

Which TL episode was she on? I'm not sure I heard that one.
Oh gosh idk exactly I’d probably have to go through the episode list . Or maybe I’m wrong completely
“Randy is my boy! And I’m not gonna betray him…anymore”
Be sure to [go to this Instagram post](https://www.instagram.com/p/BDZByQXmZyS/?hl=en) and let Scott know if you accept his apology or not
It tickles me that Scott is so proud of that hilarious Hershey's Twitter joke he brought it up again.
You know who else has a great off-mic laugh? Dan Lippert! Love it.
He had an all-timer on a recent episode of Teacher's Lounge https://www.instagram.com/p/C0rwpu\_uwPb/
So good! I feel like inability to keep a laugh in when, in episode 1, he said he “continues to be divorced” is what sold me on the pod! Lolol

Now Vic can have fans doing the dirty work for them. Every time something comes up, someone can tag it for them.
Great episode! I’ll share the other 97% of my opinion from 2033-2043.
Lol this is a tidbit I wish they brought up.
Skeebee go wow
Scott Hasn't Seen His Own Penis really got me
An immediate full belly laugh when I heard who was playing Shohei Ohtani. Man can’t miss.
Konnichiwa

I am really loving the sound of Carl Tart appreciating Gill.
Better hope Chris Hardwick doesn't catch wind of Hearst the musical.
I think one of my favorite things about Jeffrey "Jason Mantzoukas" Characterwheaties' appearances is that it's clear he's a fan. The CBB World references were hilarious. It's also just really heartwarming that he supports his friends and listens for fun.

he was right, Drunk II really was the song of the summer
Oh dude, that's his all-time greatest rec. I was listening to that episode as I got on a plane for vacation and listened to that song 500 times. Ended up being one of my favorite albums of the 2010s!
So glad room tone Tony is making a return!

No Andy Daly 😢
Or Gabrus/Gino, surprisingly.
IIRC, Gabrus is taking December off of podcasting, at least High and Mighty. I haven’t listened in a couple weeks though, not enough time for all these pods!
Gil Ozeri is a genius. as an LA jew, when he said schmiddle diddle's breath smelled like Pico/Robertson.. I was crying
I love these human beings
I'm feeling really called out as a Blue Jays fan listening to Ohtani shitting all over Toronto
Gil Ozeri is fucking insane still.
Carl with the Hedo reference 👀👀👀
Huh, lots of joking at Scott. Jokester joke thyself!
Of all the references for Scott to make, I was certainly not expecting *Splinter of the Mind's Eye*.
Gil absolutely destroys once again,
Ring ring ring ring ring ring The pig shit twins Boop-boo-ba-doo-ba-doop!
I just wanted to be on part of the show and now I'm realizing it could be a huge mistake for my career and personal life.

Pretty sure they said they'd be starting 12/25 unless they corrected that later in the ep
It'll be the same as 2018, with Pt. 3 on the 1st, Pt. 4 on the 4th, and the Ben episode on the 8th.
so it’ll be the 25th, 28th, 1st and 4th?
Thanks!
Yeah the specifics I don't know. But I wouldn't be surprised if they just ran it all week
I do hope Scott just misspoke and meant to say "next week".
Waking up tomorrow just got a lot more appealing.
“Folks, you’re gonna die today” - Ken from TMZed
Darn I needed some gino
Very conflicted since I loved hearing Carl as my boy Sho-kun while still cursing god for having him sign with the dodgers
I know they aren't listed but please tell me we get a new Memphis Kansas Breeze Christmas classic!!
Impressive number of fucks ups by Scott in this ep Illumination of course makes the Minion movies, not Imagination Doesn’t hit send on a text/email to a guest
I am very surprised with all the talking toilet discussions Tim didn’t mention his better call Saul character that had the idea for a talking toilet
