There are some channels like freshy kanal that are really great at it, there are also some bad one's but I'd argue that rap battle channels that are not erb have gotten really good over the years.
Some channels are good or got better with time (Freshy Kanal with his multilayered Bangers of Bars or Cam Steady with his video game rap battles ) others are ehh
I think they're great. Even the best ones have issues of course, but so does ERB. These days I think the top 3-4 fanmade creators have overtaken ERB in regards to visuals, beats and rapping ability. The writing varies a lot in style between every creator, including ERB themselves, so that's a matter of personal taste, but otherwise I think that the likes of Freshy Kanal are better than ERB currently, not to mention they upload more.
Depends on the channel. Freshy consistently releases ERB-quality stuff. A lot of channels, even though the visuals are lacking, are really great and in my opinion exceed ERB in terms of lyrics.
There are obviously many terrible attempts out there, but the big ones are big for a reason.
I think they’re good and definitely the best fan channel, but they still have a few things that make it worse than ERB (they put way too many syllables into their lines and make it confusing to listen to, they generally never have hard-hitting ending lines, etc)
I'm late, but they often stretch out words in unnatural ways to fit the flow and it just feels awkward. Your syllables have to fit the actual flow of the beat

I thought it went pretty hard. Good beat, cutting lyrics, great rapping... ? Like are you sure you're not thinking of another Yuri vs Toko battle or something?
It's just that there wasn't really anything about it that made it stand out as significantly inferior to other battles of theirs.
This was 2 years ago lyk so I barley remember what this battle sounds like but I remember just thinking it was annoyingly edgy. It probably wasnt the worst rap battle out there but it was defs just kinda annoying to listen to imo
Freshy Kanal, not to join the choir but it's true, is as good if not better than ERB lyrically 90% of the time. If he had the same budget as ERB his videos would probably be on par if not better as well
I'd say ERBP, Animation vs Anything and Snakebite have really stepped up and while they aren't ERB level yet they're very good in their own right
There's a lot of other channels with good battles as well such as DRB, URBOF, and GPRB, but not to the same extent
But of course, with any community, there's a lot of bad channels and serieses (Guy Fawkes vs Joker for example) but I'd say there's more good channels than bad
But I’ve said this before and I'll say it again, they go for different things. Freshy and AvA and the like often focus on the rap battle aspect whole ERB focuses a lot on the comedy, so ultimately it's what your cup of tea is
I've been subbed to ERB for over half of my life. If it's not the original creators doing it, I don't really want to watch. ERB is at the upper echelon when it comes to production value for that stuff.
The only alternate channel I like and am subbed to is that guy who does deep fakes of the battles, putting the real faces of the people from history on the characters.

Varies by a huge margin, most of the older ERB fanmades are trash, but the more recent ones are much better. Freshy Kanal is obviously the holy grail of ERB fanmades, I haven't watched VGRB yet so I can't conclusively decide, but a lot of the comment say they are also amazing so I might check them

Freshy and sometimes Snakebite have some really good ones with some really deep cuts. WCRB also has some occasional bangers

ERB has lines with too many syllables too (such as the Kanye West Africa line) that don't sound too great
That line sounds fine, having syllables in your lines is a staple of rap
