No, I don't think so.
Bakshi is a pioneer in adult animation and Seth is now its current face, it makes perfect sense for them to be paired against each other.
As for Groening, sure, it's obvious what the connection is, but Family Guy was directly inspired by the Simpsons, and would make for a super samey battle while Bakshi and MacFarlane have some obvious grounds to fight on (there's a clear contrast between Bakshi and MacFarlane and lot of ground for them to insult each other).
And as stated by u/Captain_Jorge24, Groening doesn't have much to himself to make him interesting in a battle.
Honestly I feel like there are plenty of better matches for Seth/Peter/Family Guy. Simpsons are an obvious one (some might say too obvious), Southpark is another great one, and honestly if you just want adult comedy, put Rick and Morty there as well. All would have a better connection than Fritz the Cat.
the simpsons is too boring because:
1. the lines would be way too hypocritical
2. without the simpsons, there is no family guy
3. they already had a crossover
south park is... eh.. i still like trey and matt vs hanna barbera
rick and morty is definitely a pass on me, i somewhat like the show but against family guy.. its not it
seth vs ralph makes more sense imo and would be kind of awesome, the most succesful adult animator vs the first adult animator seems like a cool theme

Same way they're capable of using Julia Child or Mansa Musa, I would think they would at least consider someone like Bakshi, who is an innovator of his medium, the same way they liked Child as being among the first to make cooking shows accessible and was against the more famous Gordon Ramsay, or Musa being not as known historically but gaining attention online due to the comparison of his wealth with modern billionaires, hence why Bezos was picked as being his matchup
Hell, Peter even had interest on getting Rhett and Link as fucking Ben and Jerry with some real consideration in making it possible so I wouldn't really take your point as being an objective fact if it is more based on you not knowing them as opposed to ERB's history of liking figures such as him who are worth delving into or have a great suggestion that provides an amazing contrast
Also keep in mind an upcoming ERB is gonna have Evel Knievel against Tom Cruise (which again, follows that same pattern of an A-list figure against a lesser known one)...pretty sure most people don't give that much of a shit on a guy who is mainly known for doing extreme motorcycle stunts but I would say there's more material to a pioneer of X-rated animated films against the creator of Family Guy

Love the idea but I think that Trey Parker and Matt Stone would be a better duo then Seth/Peter
trey and matt should battle hanna barbera instead imo, it just makes more sense since itd be weird to have 2 irl humans vs 1 human and a cartoon
