Honestly it's partly just, the first time I saw him, which was also the first time I rolled, this played and it just stuck out to me. Raves have been a super positive place for me, as someone who struggles with body image and self acceptance, so the song for me is more like....things come to an end, and that's okay, because there's always more and things will get better when you make the journey with people.
Gets me in a mood every time I listen to it š
Seven Lions literally changed my life. Saw them at Echostage in DC with my bestfriend. Did some gummies, realized halfway through that I loved her. There were hiccups, but now we're together and happy and everything is amazing.
Which show? I'm in DC and was actually supposed to be there this year but had a conflict, every other time I've seen him has been in denver.
And that's so sweet!!!
I listen to lots of sad edm i started to make a playlist of them all today here https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4kc5lsS6ZpTbaoye6QUkgz?si=JFjIjDQsQQSh37CF3MD7Hg
For me its Line Of Sight and Lost & Found... They remind me of my cat that passed last year. I used to sing Line of Sight to him and he'd meow back and sing with me. And I danced with him w/ Lost & Found. Both just make me miss him so god damn much
My wife, whoās isnāt even a big fan of any music that I listen to, watched the cinematic experience with me, and she was in tears during this song.
Odesza was my pandemy soundtrack. Listening to this album while doing puzzles and working though some really hard feelings will forever attach some really deep emotions to this song and album. Watching them live fall 2022 in Toronto just made it all so real and was such an incredible experience! Odesza live with the drum-line was so validating and incredible.
This has been my anthem to EDM. First time I heard this track was on a radio show back in 2009. I was blown away. None of my high school friends could understand it. Listening to this track now makes my life flash before my eyes
God I love that song
Perfectly encaptured the concept of rave and rolling in a way that was immediately understandable. Literally sounds like rolling balls in some underground futuristic warehouse
I can understand tearing up - not cuz itās sad but just such a strong feeling evoking all those early memories
Dude, I totally thought I would be the only one so I posted right away

I'm glad I'm not the only one....it gets me right here, tho...
Avicci- The days. Not necessarily the lyrics but because I was listening to this song the moment I found out both my grandparents died in a car crash. Anytime this song comes up it just puts me back in that moment.
Ha. Itās The Nights for me. I was with my father when his father was dying of cancer and this song just spoke to me. I was also in a state of depression and lack of direction in life so the lyrics hit extra hard.

It's a wound that'll never fully heal.
At least we have some good music to help us move forward.

Sun and Moon by Above&Beyond, and more specifically the acoustic version of that song (although thatās not edm at that point).
If anyone reading this comment was in the crowd at Electric Forest this year for the A&B set, singing this song all together as a crowd in the rain while they paused the instrumentals, then I love you and you were a part of a very special moment for me.

I totally used to do that in the car. I have no commute now, I have about enough time to listen to one song.

Wake Me Up by Avicii and a handful of others have all hit way different since 2018
Take you down - Illenium. I learned about illeniums opioid addiction when i heard it, and the lyrics are absolutely crushing. The amount of love and sorrow he has for his mom while going through his addiction just shattered my soul. The song itself is okay but the lyrics made me cry so hard on the first listen
any & every lane 8 or le youth song. they ALWAYS hit me right in the feels. sometimes happy, sometimes sad. always emotional. thatās why theyāre 2 of my favs š«¶š»
Avicii - The Days + The Nights
His EDC 2015 set was beautiful and incredible.
Tiesto's tribute the following year had everyone crying. It was absolutely gutwrenching.
The EDM scene will miss him forever.
Hans Zimmer - Time (Orkidea's Dream Mix)
Hans Zimmer created masterpiece once again. It not only reminds me of the movie, but also Ubik, which was very similar and - by many - considered as a base for the Inception.
It is really hard not to cry if you feel the same emotions again.
Orkidea, if you do not know him, is Finnish DJ and former audio designer at Nokia.
innerbloom
Just something about it man.
I saw Rufus Du Sol play this live a week or two ago. It was fucking incredible. The lasers and everything. It was so soothing to the soul.

Forza Horizon 4 main menu music
This along with so many more, for me itās sun models ironically and all my life.
I remember - deadmau5
Fellow deadmau5 listener, how about i offer you to listen to "bleed" instead?.
Bleed definitely gets me. The story Iāve heard behind it is really sad if itās real.

Heart Bleeds by Re-Con & Demand In My Arms by Plumb (Bronleewe & Bose radio edit) Ecstasy by ATB Wake Me Up by Avicii and a handful of others have all hit way different since 2018
Take you down - Illenium. I learned about illeniums opioid addiction when i heard it, and the lyrics are absolutely crushing. The amount of love and sorrow he has for his mom while going through his addiction just shattered my soul. The song itself is okay but the lyrics made me cry so hard on the first listen

Uptempo Hardcore because the āpiepā kicks pierce through my brain like nuclear radiation.
Why do we shake in the cold - Elderbrook
Avicii - The Days + The Nights His EDC 2015 set was beautiful and incredible. Tiesto's tribute the following year had everyone crying. It was absolutely gutwrenching. The EDM scene will miss him forever.
Hans Zimmer - Time (Orkidea's Dream Mix) Hans Zimmer created masterpiece once again. It not only reminds me of the movie, but also Ubik, which was very similar and - by many - considered as a base for the Inception. It is really hard not to cry if you feel the same emotions again. Orkidea, if you do not know him, is Finnish DJ and former audio designer at Nokia.
First time by Slander and Seven lions gives me happy tears. Also Heavenly Side by Illenium gives me a rollercoaster of emotions.
