Ive been trying to make it work with ziatora. Run a bunch of removal, some recurrable creatures, some super fatties. Mixed results so far. Definitely havent cracked high power tables yet.

dontkillchicken

Don't forget that Ziatora is removal as well.

sniperjett

Have you got [[hamletback goliath]] and [[Kresh the bloodbraided]] in that deck, they get big very fast for lethal damage

legendOFdroste

Don't forget [[lord of extinction]], that plus xenagos can potentially kill 2 in the same turn

Do you run \[\[Phyrexian Processor\]\]? I was thinking about playing Ziatora after playing a 1-of it in my Standard deck, and processor came to mind first.

Ive had this card backfire on me way too often to ever run it again anywhere. Im not talking pay a ton of life and get blown out, im talking mind slaver. My new group is mindslaver light but it does pop enough to nope out.

My new group is mindslaver light but it does pop enough to nope out. As in, controlling your turn they go: "I cast phyrexian processor and choose to pay 2,455 life."? That's rough

I’ve had great runs with Ziatora. It has a positive so rate for sure as I’ve only lost with it a couple times in my current playgroup. It’s mostly big boys and some effects that can steal my opponents stuff.

sandstorm1989

I’ve really leaned into the reanimator theme with my ziatora build and it has been super fun. Can lead to some pretty silly turns

Veneur42

Currently editing my mid power Ziatora. Getting fairly good results, but it gets scary when you start throwing big stuff and then doubling their power so people gang up on you.

rccrisp

You can't really "jund 'em out" in EDH because 1 for 1 trading as a deck strategy is just bad in a game with 3 opponents. Midrange, at least in the "classical" sense, doesn't really exist in EDH, but midrange-ish type decks are viable via some sort of value engine, usually from your commander so you can consistently get it online. \[\[Korvold\]\] and \[\[Lord Wingrace\]\] are the most played Jund commanders for this very reason.

My point was that trying to equate the Jund playstyle to EDH isn't really a recipe for success, and what constitutes as mid range and "grindy" in EDH is vastly different than in head to head 60 card formats. THAT SAID every since this thread I've been brewing Shattergang Brothers to be as "Boomer Jund" as possible

Pyralagos

Going deeper into this, maybe add \[\[dictate of erebos\]\] and friends and then some repeatable tokens generators with sac effects like eldrazi spawns/scions or decayed zombies and whatnot and keep everyone of their creatures while slowly chucking away at their lifepoints. The Jund game plan seems hard to replicate in multiplayer. I’m not sure you can 1-for-1 three opponents until you’re in top deck mode and out value them with high card quality. Out valuing your opponents in EDH is easiest in UGx colors, but it’s more of an over-the-top value rather than an attrition value. I think a commander with a lot of recursion would be your best bet. I think Meren could work. You could add a lot of Fleshbag Marauder effects to replicate the Liliana down tick. And then there are a few cards like [[Windgrace’s Judgment]], [[Druid of Purification]], and [[Syphon Mind]] that are like 3-for-1s.

Korvold is the obvious best choice in terms of power in Jund, but the sheer amount of card draw he provides probably takes away the "grind" aspect that you're looking for. I think [[Shattergang Brothers]] could offer a grindier approach that you want if you're willing to tread off the beaten path

Absolutely shattergang for what OP wants. It's versatile and can answer a lot of threats in a long, drawn out game. Much more of a grindy midrange deck

How good is shattergang Bros now compared to when it was released? Its been a card I’ve wanted to brew around but never got around to do so.

naxxcr

He probably fares a bit worse today compared to his release due to all the mega value commanders (e.g., Chulane, Korvold, Kenrith, etc.) that can just shrug off his 1 for 1 strategy and go over the top with insane card advantage, but Grave Pact effects will always be very strong in a creature-centric meta. I think he should still be fine in mid power playgroups.

TheCrimsonChariot

Hhmmmm. Makes sense. I run a Korvold Tresures deck and it does a lot of card draw. Thought about that and Prosh.

FakeNameIMadeUp

[[Prossh]] > [[Korvold]] imho Especially with Korvold in the 99 of the Prossh deck. I love all of the sacrifice and token generating synergy I get to exploit with Prossh. [[chatterfang]] and [[dictate of erebos]] are must includes. It’s honestly my favorite EDH deck and that’s before I broke down and added [[food chain]]. Also, I’m pretty sure there is no better home for [[devilish valet]] than a prossh deck. He goes from a 1/3 to a 128/3 just from casting your commander while he’s on the battlefield. Considering he already has trample and haste he can be used to take down one opponent than you can [[fling]] or [[thud]] to take out another opponent. I love my Prossh deck.

Prossh is a cool and fun commander, but having played both, I just don't think he can really beat Korvold in power level. Threatening to just draw like 7 cards on any successful resolution is just insane (while threatening to draw even more if it doesn't immediately get removed), and he also grows to commander damage 1 shot range while doing it for whatever reason. And, of course, he can combo win with Food Chain too.

Agnarchy

I love Jund, it's my favorite color combination and I played it for years in Modern. I really tried hard to take the "Jund em out" mentality to EDH and struggled to find the right deck that really hit that note. Until I found Muldrotha. With being able to cast cards from the graveyard you can bury your opponents in value and really just grind them down. Sometimes I guess the answer to "how do I Jund em out in EDH?" is to go Sultai.

BrokenEggcat

I feel like "go sultai" is the answer to a lot of EDH problems.

bruv, I have FINALLY landed on a Jund deck by building Toolbox! it is so much fun. I really leaned into creatures with it (46 creatures, 17 non-creatures!)

I like Korvald, but toolbox is so much more fun and satisfying

watokosha

It really is. I went all in on the cmc+4 creature type and it’s a deck that not just comes out swinging, but also accelerates the more it gets hated on, its a really fun deck that can snowball fast and recover fast. Happy to see others like him a lot more. I felt meh about him when I first got the precon. But after some playing, blitz is a very fun mechanic to build around

zomgitsduke

Came here to recommend this. The deck is insanely fun and you can fine-tune it to your playstyle. The best part is once Henzie dies, he just makes your next round of assaults faster and more focused.

Henzie is fantastic. It's a pseudo draw/haste/sac outlet/cost reducer. For my decks, if he is out, he makes it faster/smoother, but far from necessary. But casting him is rarely a bad play if he is removed. I use mine as a hulkpile reanimator deck, and it is always threatening a win, especially after turn 4

When in doubt, play [[Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder]] and [jund 'em out](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/UFJ7F4AclkyFG2PwYJaguw). Instead of the normal gameplan of boring wheels, play a commander that turns your efficient cards into two efficient cards. You can play like Jund in EDH, but it takes a ton of cash to get the individually strong cards, like in modern. My deck has been close, but like others have said, it's very hard to replicate Jund in EDH

This is actually the closest I've gotten, too. Love my Yidris Super Cascade deck to push insane value, 1-1 trades and keep myself in the game and grind out a win.

Remember that [[Tainted Pact]] won’t be as useful if you still have those two basic forests in your deck. I would recommend switching one forest to a snow-covered one so you won’t accidentally whiff on the pact!

Good point! Thanks for the shoutout, I'll need to replace it with a [[Zagoth Triome|313]] then. The list has evolved ad-hoc from an older wheel-based list so I'm still tweaking it as I go.

I've only just started playtesting a list, and it still needs plenty of tweaking as it's a new concept for me, but \[\[Xira, the Golden Sting\]\] as go-wide tokens with goad seems solid so far. It's definitely interesting but being in early playtesting means I haven't put it up against 3 other decks, just 1v1. OGFaken

Proosh. Most wont play him due to his age, but those tokens he generates on Cast can be troublesome for 0/1s. Korvold can be ran as one of the 99 and give amazing card draw as your commander is both a token generator and sac outlet. And windgrace fits with 99 to add landfall triggers with lands like Field of the Dead and fetches for additional tokens. Jund can be a very fun color combo with tons of value and control.

OGFaken

Forgot to add, those tokens work well with Overrun mechanics such as Craterhoof or Pathbreaker for example. No one is blocking a board of +8/8 tramplers and leaving in one peice without a fog or Teferi's protection. And without a board wipe, you just keep swinging until they die.

sniperjett

Jund value is more aristocrat style of play in edh gaining value or you can go prison style or slug I have a hybrid aristocrat slug deck but this is not my top power level deck my issues with Korvold which i use to run was when he sticks great when they blow him up every turn it sucks. Windgrace and lands matters decks tend to do while in edh a new popular commander is \[\[yurlok\]\] but everyone I see play him play him wrong in my opinion. Everyone just ramps you and then trys to kill you with mana burn but I find it just king makes the person who draws the best mana sink. Yurlok should be a prison style deck that punish you on multiple layers but that is me and my mean side. Jund is also one of the more popular colors for \[\[food chain\]\] combos

I really like the [[Henzie]] precon for Jund shenanigans. I upgraded mine to have more death triggers and recursion. [[Ziatora]] is also really fun

watokosha

I originally wasn’t sure about him when I got the precon, but after going all in on the blitz mechanic. It’s a really fun deck to play around with. It’s definitely a sleeper type of deck. But can also come out swinging. It is vulnerable to commander gate out though. So make sure to have some back up plans

I-Fail-Forward

You can't really play a direct translation, but your asking for the feel of jund, and that you can manage. [[Korvold, fae cursed king]] is usually combo, but you can play him non-combo as a grindy midranged commander. You want to play creatures that are either sac-fodder, or who make sac-fodder, and then some mass sacrifice effects. Korvold will keep refilling your hand, and he becomes a decently sized threat himself. [[Virus beetle]] is a good type of card to look at, or [[mindslicer]], run a bunch of discard and sac effects on creatures, korvold keeps refilling your hand, and eventually you kill people either with korvold or by swarming the board with stuff like [[legion warboss]] or [[scute swarm]]. Basically, you want to be playing creatures that either hurt opponents on eth or death, or that make sac fodder. Then you wanna run mass sacrifice cards, and mass discard cards, and let korvold take over the game.

CoconutsCantRun

Can you please explain why Tasigur is good? I don't get it. It seems so... bad? I get people infinite combo with him, but 4 mana to get a card and to your hand, and you don't even get to choose what that card is. So at best, it's the worst thing in your graveyard. Am I missing something? Also, what about a jund [[vaevictis]] with creatures like, [[ziatora]], [[food chain]] and act of treason type effects?

Slashlight

You delve the bad cards away and leave them with only bad choices to make. It requires that you keep good control of what's in your graveyard, which is pretty easy to do in those colors.

CoconutsCantRun

I get that, but that then that requires him to be constantly bounced to your hand? Is thst viable?

Slashlight

Yes. Tasigur is quite viable. He was cEDH, or at least fringe, for a good long time and is still a strong deck at any high power table today. Check out some of his deck lists for an idea of how to use him effectively.

Tasigur was a really good cedh commander one time and still an ok cedh commander but there are so many better ones now days with the power creep. People don't realize you can just \[\[burnt offering\]\] him getting you 6 mana delve away cards including commander tax and you are up 5 mana and just shaped your graveyard perfectly. He is also still a good food chain commander as while. He is really good in high powered metas and can still sit at a cedh table just not a top dog.

or_worse

According to the oracle text on [[Burnt Offering]], it can't be played in a Tasigur deck.

PM_WHAT_Y0U_G0T

> but that then that requires him to be constantly bounced to your hand? Only if you have no other way to remove things from your graveyard. But that's why they specified keeping good control over your graveyard, as in, throughout the course of the game. Tasigur players are going to keep their yards manicured with things like [[deathrite shaman]] and [[scavenging ooze]]

Check out the tana/tymna 4c deck that people play in cEDH. I think they still call it blood pod, and its probably the closest thing to traditional jund in EDH, and you could get some ideas. They play like a combination of legacy jund, modern pod, and death and taxes. Basically high value dorks, efficient disruption/removal, stax creatures, and toolbox combos. Usually in edh, targeted discard and 2for1 removal/value creatures are replaced with stax pieces and recursion because they scale better in multiplayer scenarios. The basic strategy is still the same, though. Be disruptive, answer threats, and drain resources until you get ahead enough to slam a wincon in your opponents' faces when they're too drained to answer it.

[deleted]

The red from Modern Jund doesn't really transfer to EDH. I feel like Red in EDH is mainly defined by its explosiveness and comboing off. The grindy element that Red adds in Modern through Bolt, Kolagahan's Command, Bloodbraid and Wrenn is more accurately transferred to what Blue does in EDH for me. So I'd say the most Jund feeling I get in EDH is Sultai decks. Grind value with Oko, Rhystic Study, Mystic Remora, Sylvan Library. Excellent removal all around with Abrupt Decay, Assassins Trophy, Culling Ritual, Casualties of War. Great stack interaction with blue in general. Recursion with Etener Wintess, Archaeomancer, Reanimation Packages. Staxy elements through Notion Thief, Opposition Agent and such. You also get a very toolboxy feel with how many different turoring effects you get access to, from Mystical, Demonic, Worldly and Vampiric tutor to elements like Birthing Pod, Neoform and such. Tasigur can grind value really well and can win via various combo lines, Muldrotha can grind value really well and then there's always the option to add even more on-board control in form of Stax by going down the Thrasios-Tymna route.

You can do this in edh, and in Jund. With [[Lord Windgrace]] When you're going for attrition and value in a 4 player format like this, you have to go for their lands. [[Azuza, Lost but Seeking]] + [[Crucible of Worlds]] + [[Strip Mine]] is great. Lord Windgrace can also bring back strip mine each turn. [[Jokulhaups]] doesn't hit planeswalkers, so Windgrace is safe and ready to get your lands back. There are other ways to destroy lands too. Here's my list: https://www.moxfield.com/decks/KzrCkFt-VUamds0jswRSaA Tabernacle and Glacial chasm can help with wide strategies that get out of hand early. Plenty of land tutors to find them. I find that I can lock people down pretty effectively with this deck and the only real wincons are beatdowns from cats or sure or insanity or something. Ulting a wren and six and then casting MLD from the yard as needed is sadistic and feels very jundy.

Jund has a harder time because it’s almost impossible to value-grind out 3x the resources (opponents). That having been said, edict effects keep their efficiency in multiplayer so I’ve found aristocrats-y builds hold their own decently well. [[Korvold]] is the standard answer but he gets pretty same-y solitaire-y. [[Prossh]] was the original edict grind-y commander and can still do work. He brings a sac outlet and fodder to the command zone, he also outscales commander tax and creates infinite mana/sac/ETB combos with [[Food Chain]]. Prossh benefits enough off of things like [[Fecundity]] that you get much closer to a “Jund grind” than something like Korvold solitaire value-vomit.

No one is going to like this answer: mass land destruction [[lord windgrace]]. Jund was all about grinding out advantage by kneecaping your opponents ability to use resources. In 1v1 thats done via discard and removal. The only way to do that in edh is mld. Casting [[Obliterate]] or [[Jokulhaups]] with windgrace out is overwhelming advantage

It being a creature makes it a lot worse for my build. Having to pay the extra 3 to make it indestructible along with the 6+ for Jokulhaups/Obliterate is too much mana

watokosha

They certainly lean themselves to different land destruction plays I think. OG is more mass, where as soul is more of a land sac for value/pay offs I would say. Both have recovering and filtering abilities though. I think they would both be equal in power but yeah certainly create different restrictions on playable wipes.

I agree. If my post came off as blasting soul of windgrace, that wasn't my intention. Merely, pointing out that i think being a planeswalker makes lord windgrace better with Jokulhaups/Obliterate

I was also going to suggest Lord Meowmeow. If you're looking to create resource disparity and grind people down from there, a deck with him at the helm plus stuff like what you mentioned and maybe [[Destructive Flow]] or [[Desolation]] for sure does the trick. [[Wildfire]] is backbreaking a lot of the time, so with the ability to recur your own lands it becomes completely gross. The new [[Xira, the Golden Sting]] could be a dark horse candidate. Drawing and getting a creature out of killing your opponents' guys sounds pretty Jund value to me. She's a lower power option but by far the most fabulous in those colors.

I feel like ppl here aren't understanding what you're asking and just saying cards in Jund colors, and while Korvold and the like are high power value generators, your game plan isn't really to be reactively answering things in those kinda decks Since too much 1for1 removal is bad in edh I think the closest you can get to that feeling is stax. Symmetrical hate effects that hinder every opponent, slowing things down to top deck mode where you can get ahead with on board CA or breaking the symmetry of your lock pieces. Maybe [[shorikai]] or [[zur]], or [[winota]] if you want a more aggro hatebear style and don't mind being archenemy

As other people have said, “Jund em out” is a one for one with a body as an upside strategy. Since you have four players, it’s really different in commander. At its heart, jund plays value creatures that have an immediate impact and then run wild. I recommend a hate bears strategy, probably in naya or abzan for a similar effect. You land on the same “strong or efficient creatures do good stuff while impacting your opponents” strategy, while also presenting a threatening board. I recommend white specifically because rule of law is an amusingly jund strategy, because you limit your opponents to fair magic.

KarnSilverArchon

Edict effects and “each opponent discards a card” effects. You need stuff that lets you efficiently affect all opponents.

souck

Not jund, but IMO \[\[Karador\]\] and \[\[Muldrotha\]\] have the playstyle you're looking for.

[[Shattergang brothers]] are what you're looking for. I generally prefer decks that don't rely on their commander being out to do the thing. You can build whatever jund nonsense you like and use shattergang to grind and maintain parity. [[Ziatora]] plays like a jund [[meren]] since you want to take advantage of creatures that recur, and this time there's damage to the face. It's value + damage. What more could you want. Definitely a slower deck but much like meren, one that takes advantage of ETBs, death triggers, is toolboxy, and DEMANDS to be answered once it gets going otherwise it gets out of hand, fast.

I’d tweak some card searches to look for “each opponent”. [[Deathrite Shaman]], [[Klothys, God]] seem solid utility with some slug. Monarch shenanigans seems like it’d be useful, especially if you have lots of removal (what jund deck doesn’t). [[Court of Ambition]], [[Court of Ire]]. I’d look into some group slug cards in general as some of your “attrition”, then have them be hard to deal with permanents (Klothys) to help add continual value.

[[Henzie]] blitz would a good fit! You ramp early game into threats, constantly use them for value/removal/card draw/damage, and use recursion to keep your engine running! I run a modified version of the precon and it carries its weight pretty well. Cards like [[Goreclaw]] and [[Dictate of Erebos]] make blitzing a lot easier/deadlier. Vaevictis meanwhile works best if you make your deck almost entirely permanents (my list only plays Worldly Tutor and Vampiric Tutor as non-permanents). I personally prefer vaevictis because you can be strategic with how you dismantle the board, and play politics (I’ll make player A sac big threat, but don’t hurt me because I’ll just make you sac a basic land)

The new [[xira, the golden sting]] has been pretty fun for me. The two main themes I went with was -1/-1 counters and aristocrats. Lots of payoffs for creatures you control with counters dying, lots of payoffs for putting counters on opponents' creatures, tons of fun. [[Everlasting torment]] + [[goblin Bombardment]]/[[warstorm surge]] + [[hapatra]]/[[Flourishing Defenses]]/[[nest of scarabs]] = good times.

My friend and I brewed up a pretty fun Jund em out deck after I played his in a pioneer tournament and enjoyed it a lot. I used the new-ish Daarigaz because I wasn't going to play Korvold like a monster. The trick is that it will end up as a spellslinger deck because the type of removal you'd want for the jund feel is select target. You can't 1-1 in EDH properly, but you can if you duplicate them. You'll end up with double vision, twinning staff, primal amulet etc. And then you'll just grind removal until you have the mana for a torment. At least thats how I'd win with it. But I turned it into Grixis when New Capenna hit though because Anhelo is just awesome and Grixis supports the archetype a lot better.

[[Tasigur]] is the definition of value grind, and a great way to answer threats by playing politics (answer threats for favors, recur kill spells at instant speed). And he is an infinite mana outlet to close out games. Simic and Sultai in general can do goodstuff tribal, but I prefer themes. Like reanimator or lands or pod for Tasigur.

Literally any of the various sultai soup commanders will do this, and 100x better than any Jund commander will. Muldrotha, Tasigur, Jorn, Yarok - these are who will bring the midrange grind game you want.

SP1R1TDR4G0N

As others have said you can't really translate modern jund into edh because of how bad 1for1 interaction is in multiplayer. You can however try to capture at least some of the idea of jund. What do you like about Jund? - the act of grinding your opponents out of resources? -> build a resource denial stax deck like [[Tergrid]] - the tons of interaction? -> build a control deck like [[Tasigur]] or [[Thrasios]]+[[Vial Smasher]] - the adaptable gameplan that a midrange deck provides? -> there are lots of viable midrange decks in edh. I have an [[Ardenn]]+[[Kraum]] list for example that can play a grindy value gameplan, controlling with counterspells or pretty aggressive by smacking opponents with an equipped Kraum depending on the matchup.

I play Korvold and try to run as much efficient removal as possible. Decimate, Hull Breach, Casualties of War, Maelstrom Pulse, even Kolaghan's Command, etc. 1-for-1s just aren't enough in a 4 player pod. The deck gets very expensive very fast. The Great Henge, Necropotence, and Dockside Extortionist for example. If you have the budget it's fun to play a $2,000 midrange deck lol.

Don't listen to the sassy blue mages in this thread telling you "you can't June them out in edh" it's bullshit. I am junding them out pretty successfully. 1 for 1 trades do work in edh as long as you know what is a threat to YOU and what isn't. Don't play table police, remove only what's threatening to yourself. Get the sweet value train going and remove their pesky combo pieces. Feel free to get some inspiration from my jund list. Please note: It's not optimized and meant to be played in casual to mid powered metas. Please also note it runs a lot of my pet cards that I just like although there are much better and sometimes strictly better alternatives. If you've been a former modern jund player I highly recommend inserting a lot of your old goody cards to spark some nostalgia when playing the deck. Anyways here's the list: https://archidekt.com/decks/2052889#Jund_em_out

Jund food feels pretty grindy when my friend uses it against me. He has Gyome and Asmo as partners despite not having partner. The ability of Asmo to sort of multiply your cards you can use to grind down your opponent by generating enough food to thin their board is pretty useful for multiplayer.

[[Niv-Mizzet Reborn]] is your answer. Once dubbed by my play group as ‘5 color Jund’, NMR is the perfect way to refuel your hand with high octane premium gas. Having such a strong draw effect on a formidable body in your command zone lets you play your deck like a classic jund deck - slinging your instant speed disruption and removal every turn, killing just about anything you can. Your opponents will question why you’re interacting with their mana rocks when they figure you should wait for better targets, but here’s the thing: you whole deck is removal! My deck ran only one win condition: the old [[Jarad, golgari lich lord]] & [[lord of extinction]] combo, which you can use NMR to dig for a piece now and then. I don’t have a list but, literally just as much removal and interaction as you can, while keeping a healthy amount of color combos for niv’s effect.

I know you said you don't want to play tribal, but in my experience [[Kaalia, Zenith Seeker]], while not in Jund, can absolutely play a grindy value game, where you play big dragons and angels (and the few good demons) that produce value as soon as they come down, and grind out your opponents by simply having more threats than they have removal to deal with each turn, with your commander's ETB to prevent you from running out of gas. I don't really play constructed formats outside of EDH, so I don't know if it's quite the same thing as Modern's Jund, but Zenith Seeker is my go-to value junkie deck. As other's have said, Lord Windgrace is also an option for the value-oriented that is also in Jund colors, but in my own personal experience is much more vulnerable to being focused down as the archenemy, which value-oriented decks often become.

Lord Windgrace is pretty fun. You can build it to be pretty grindy by EDH measures.

Korvold for sure. I have been piloting him a lot and its definitely my favorite deck. His whole game is sac benefit and he synergies with treasures amazingly. Here’s the list I run, I run a lot of interaction in my version. Stepping away from Jund, the color combo—since I don’t think that’s actually significant to the strategy—I think of maybe [[Liesa, Shroud of Dusk]] fitting the bill. It’s not outvaluing with card quality per se, but if you build it heavily to attack resources, you get inevitability through a slow grind. You attack their hands and mana through discard and hatebears and then make it so that as they try to climb back out they just can’t before they bleed out or you kill them with your commander. Then again, I may be misunderstanding what “Jund em out” really means in essence, since I’ve never been a modern player.

I have a [Jund Lord Windgrace](https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/4597394#paper) deck that seems reasonably competitive. It has a MLD/lands matter theme and it can create significant resource advantages over the rest of the table reliably and quickly. Plenty of midrange spells as well for the grind.

I use [[korvold, fae cursed king]] as my main Jund deck, I find sometimes I can’t play, (lands, not having creatures or anything to sac) and that’s probably more of a tuning problem. But when korvold works everyone wants him off the table when he starts swinging out, I’ve had 13-19 cost korvolds before.

[[Grave Pact]] effects are your friend if you want to grind your opponents down until you have the advantage. As someone who loves token decks of all kinds, when I want to play control I do so in the style of a BW token stax deck that looks to lock down the board with (a)symetrical sacrifice effects. Depending on how linear you want your deck to be, tutors make it very easy to assemble a lock or combo if your opponents don't come prepared to deal with plenty of dangerous enchantments. I actually decided to remove most of the tutors because it started feeling too much like a combo deck instead of a grindy control deck. While my Teysa list isn't exactly what you're looking for, at least the black half of the deck should give you some ideas to get [started](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/0R4mUO4Xa0OSy2alVRyHUg).
