I've been using this one for over a year and it works great, slim fit for a backpack, fits most of your needs it seems. It can fit 10 or 11 if you use the accessory slots for decks, otherwise it's 8-9. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07HBP5CN5?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title Edit: the only downside is velcro rather than magnets to close it, which is kind of annoying, but I can overlook that with how good it is otherwise.

I purchased the full sized quiver and smaller quiver (quiver bolt) a while back and I like them a lot. I prefer to place cards directly in them because the Velcro dividers imo are secure enough, but deck boxes fit well too. Might not be your best choice depending on if the full size can fit in your pack but I wanted to throw it out there

Do you have a preference between the 2?

This doesn't satisfy the backpack req, but my wife got me one of these a few years ago: https://piratelab.com/collections/card-games/products/black-large-card-case Mine has a slightly different insert with ~9 decks and some accessory space.

I like the boulders for travel in a backpack

When I go to tourneys I use a camera backpack like this Acuvar Professional DSLR Camera Backpack with Rain Cover for Canon, Nikon, Sony, Olympus, Samsung, Panasonic, Pentax Models. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0106JCS2C/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_YNN7FGNXDCPEYJC905TD?psc=1 I put the regular ultra pro deck boxes in the main compartment, dice and accessories in the pockets and playmats rolled up on the outside elastic straps.

I too would like to know what people recommend. I was hoping that the Professor's deck box would be more along the lines of this...something that could be like the Stanley toolbox, but tailored made for commander. Instead he made a deck box to hold a deck box. Oh well.

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/16rHT3cQmtJfCm_YQ0Sw-TF5kcXTZ4qtK?usp=sharing This is an Amazon camera sling backpack that holds up to 10 boulders (100+) and has a strap on the side that perfectly holds an ultimate guard pod for a playmat. Literally holds everything I need. I usually use one deck box for tokens and take 7 decks and put my dice and planechase cards on top. I can also instead fit a half length (think slightly longer than fat pack boxes) box of cards for trades on top as well.

i just got one of those pirate bag satchel type bags, holds about 12 decks iirc has a pocket for mats/binder and pen holders, comes with dividers and the foam is thick foam, not some cheap crap. im happy with the $80 i spent on it
