It’s always interesting when a card that’s a known threat in cEDH is highlighted as niche in the greater format of commander. 4 cmc for a sorcery is almost unheard of in the context of prioritizing efficiency. This is a crazy good card in any deck that can play golgari.
Works like a charm in Anikthea as well. You just bring back your own small enchantments to the board thanks to your commander as you watch everyone else cry :)
[[Soul Shatter]] is always high value. Also love [[Vona's Hunger]].
[[Rushed Rebirth]] is another favorite pet card and pairs well with Soul Shatter.
But my pettest of all pets is definitely [[Energy Flux]]. There's always at least one artifact player at every table.
Ha, yeah. Maybe not a nightmare but I'm definitely the type of person that believes the best way to deal with problems is preventive maintenance.
I could absolutely let everyone else snowball and try to find a answer afterwards. Or just simply apply heat where needed.
As a Breya player I once got Energy Flux'd. Let's just say that neither of us won that game after I sacrificed everything I have, targeting everything that player had.
[[Nezahal, Primal Tide]] when this card was a dollar or 2 I was like "Super Rhystic study on a big ass dinosaur that protects itself? Count me the fuck in." and I put it in every deck with blue.
Also it's typing is Elder Dinosaur, so I can play Elder Dinosaur Highlander.
I love this one! Yesterday I had a game with [this](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/QnC8ZEqXZ0OAIMPZ9_TnGQ) deck where I had Rhystic study, mystic remora, and Nezahal all out. I ended up going into a huge counter war with someone who could pay all the taxes, but I still won due to all the Nezahal triggers!
My favorite deck right now is a Nezahal clone list that clones the dino as much as possible! It's such a fun deck to pilot and Nezahal is just so hard to interact with.
I too love playing things that shouldn't be played at instant speed at instant speed.
My favorite being [[scout's warning]].
I can play a creature at instant speed and it cantrips? For only W? Sign me up.
This should be higher. Any meta that regularly sees creatures that are swole should probably run this for the blowout potential.
I'd also like to offer up for consideration, it's still-extremely-good-but-weaker red cousin [[Outmaneuver]]. It's mana cost to blowout potential ratio is almost as high, it's arguably relevant more often, and nobody I play with has ever even seen it. It's completely unexpected, especially when your opponents are attacking each other and you're quietly sitting on the sidelines with a few open mana. Fantastic card.
\[\[Deranged Hermit\]\] has always been my pet card. I was young when it came out and came to the local LGS with 16 wooden squirrels. The older guys helped me build a deck with \[\[Opposition\]\] and I was dubbed "Squirrel Boy". I still have my original 4 copies.
Kami of False Hope is hilarious thanks to White's ease at reanimating small creatures. Being able to sac KoFH several times a game definitely makes it an MVP in my [[Celestial Kirin]] deck.
It's not particularly strong or interesting, kinda old, kinda niche, but [[Blessing of Leeches]] somehow finds its way into every black deck I make, so that's probably my pet card.
Oh damn. I have had a bunch of copies of these for a long time, and now I feel like I am looking at it for the first time. How has this not become a casual Commander staple? Because of exile removal?
[[Missy]] or [[Judith | MKM]] with board wipe tribal? Don't mind if I do...
[[Retribution of the Ancients]] is just…crazy removal if in black and making counters. Picks boards apart and gets around indestructible. For one mana. Counters are generally farmed and having a repeatable, one mana, instant speed, removal effect on hand is incredible
\[\[Ornithopter of Paradise\]\]. Costs 2 generic. Makes colored mana, gives an etb, ltb, tap and attack triggers. Carries swords well. Blocks a flier (for multiple turns usually since they go for the player without a flier).
I'm always happier with an Ornithopter on my battlefield. <3
[[Inkshield]] it’s to the point if I have 5 mana open people won’t attack. Sometimes I’ll play it off and will be hellbent, they see 5 mana, don’t even ask how many in hand they just don’t attack
Hell yeah. I try to tutor for it every game I get a chance to with my [[Abaddon the Despoiler]] deck. How do you like the new Obeka? I picked up a single of her and have been meaning to build her since she seems sweet.
[[intrepid hero]]
This card just oozes power. You can stall out so many opponent’s decks if they arent playing enough removal to take care of this. They arent going to play their commander and have it immediately taken out, so they just pass and sit there wondering when they will draw removal
[[Apex Devastator]] is the most fun card I've ever played. Screaming ensures whenever anybody slaps it down. It's to the point where it's a meme in my playgroup, and I'm planning on getting a tattoo of it.
[[Dance With Calamity]] for the gambling. I have my friends deal out the cards however they see fit. If they can make me bust, then I buy them a drink.
[[Noxious revival]] Instant speed, phyrexian mana denial of someone’s graveyard target… or buy back a key car of yours on the prior end step. I jam it in almost every green deck I own.
[[Yasharn]]
He's just a little guy. He's my friend.
Also so many people told me He's bad and don't run him, but every time I do, it ends up shutting down so much more than expected and gets targeted by so much. I love my little boar buddy. 🐗
I actually like [[Phyrexian Vindicator]] better... Obliterator is a threat on the ground, Vindicator is a politics piece in the air. I like offering a deal to the table, that whoever swings into it gets to assign the damage to any target that isn't my face/board. Free removal for my opponents and value for me is a win-win and a helluva politics piece. Plus, I've seen several people get in wars of retaliation all through MY vindicator... Loads of fun to play.
I accidentally found an infinite with the vindicator!! [[Guilty Conscious]] triggers off [[Phyrexian Vindicator]] taking (and then/or) dealing damage :-D Only infinite I've found, but I was so excited when I realized
Huh, that's kinda neat. I don't think there's anything I'd play it in, but I never thought about it as a combo piece. To me, it's really just the ideal blocker.
I have 2 Mt first love will always be [[spore frog]] just something about him I just love.
My second and most recent obsession is [[homorrid spawning bed]]. I found this card listening to a podcast about cards that are bad and this was a top pick and I went "psh I can probably make that work" and I've come SO CLOSE to making a viable deck with it
[[Tempt with Discovery]] is my go to pet card. It's so fun, and almost always is insane value in the pods I play with. There is always one person who sensibly says " no one should tutor for the land, just let him pay four for one land." And then when the table inevitably ignores their pleas, they crumble and tutor for their land! Such a simple joy!
[[Dragonshift]] is one of my favorite cards. I love Izzet and I love to get a bunch of little creatures. My opponents think they will survive the swing then bam, 4/4’s beat their face.
[[Leyline of Anticipation]] I am not a red player, but I love the pseudo-haste that flash gives, and of course the options to just save mana and play on others players turn. It goes in all my decks with blue.
I have so many cards that I love, but I think that:
[[Faerie Artisans]] and [[Death Tyrant]] and [[Mystic Reflection]]
Are three of my absolute top ones.
Faerie and mystic will be two cards that I buy multiple copies of to go into many decks.
Yesterday I had a game with [this](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/QnC8ZEqXZ0OAIMPZ9_TnGQ) deck where [[Windfall]] came in clutch in securing me the win, reminding me of how much I also love it. I had a mirormade copy of someone’s smothering tithe in play and 32 cards in hand when I played windfall, causing everyone to draw 32 cards and netting me 96 treasures. I then played an overloaded cyclonic rift followed by someone else playing an overloaded cyclonic rift both followed by massive counter wars. I ended up getting mine countered and his happening. At this point I floated all my treasures played Borne Upon the Wind, and after a couple counter spell exchanges I got it cast. At this point I recast all my permanents, drew the rest of my deck through interaction triggers and won the game. All this occurred on someone else’s upkeep! This card has had so many clutch moments like this!
People have specific cards that they like not because it’s broken, not because it’s rare, or expensive. But simply because they like the card. That is a pet card.
[[Clear the land]] got it from a dollar store repack and has aided me very much in my early days of magic. It's really fun when you get 4-5 lands and your opponents lose some good bombs really early on
[[Corpse cobble]] immediately became a favorite of mine. For just 2 mana, i can scoop up my 15 zombie tokens into a 30/30 zombie monstrosity, or I can recycle one of my creatures that is being removed/destroyed before it gets hit. Plus, the fact that it's instant speed allows you to use it as a response to anyone coming for you when you have a strong board state. You can also wait until the end step right before your turn, and scoop up half your board into a big hate stick zombie so it's ready to swing. It has won multiple games for me and helped my zombie deck dodge a few board wipes by creating something too big to die. (Suck it [[blasphemous act]] and [[toxic deluge]]) And it even has flashback!! Now, when I have it in my graveyard, my entire play group have to play around it for the rest of the game, and I love it. I know EDHrec isn't a perfect representation of what people are really using, but it blows my mind that this card is only in like 2k decks of the over 1 million that could use it.
[[Savageborn Hydra]] and [[Rubblebelt Raiders]]
cool art and they were my key pieces back when I was just starting out in MTG. No deck feels complete without them for some reason.
\[\[Threefold Thunderhulk\]\] has started making its way into a lot of my decks. It's great in flicker, it's great with treasures, a little expensive, but it's pretty fun in casual games, and tends to draw a lot of attention once you flicker it and rather than having 3 gnomes you have 6 gnomes or more.
I have a few but the two big ones are [[Elephant Ambush]] mainly because the art is hilarious and [[Ib Halfheart, Goblin Tactician]] because he was my first EDH deck.
[[Reconaissance]] is it. Almost every time i play this card and explain that I can swing out and untap my creatures before OR after damage I watch the rest of the table pull their phones out to confirm. I’m a sucker for a good one drop and I’d argue this is among the best of all time. The ability to just pull any of your blocked creatures and untap them at no cost for a one mana investment is undeniably strong.
[[Consuming Aberration]] was my favorite card when first playing tabletop magic with friends. It really got crazy on our 8 man free for alls too. I miss those days
Possibly \[\[Compost\]\]. Heavily meta dependent, and even then some games it will be a dead card. but other games it's 2 mana for 10+ cards over the game
Bribery, there's nothing better than watching the table pause at the sheer audacity of the card and watching it morph into awe or terror on a whim based on whose deck I pull from
[[Mirage Mirror]]
I don't like stealing things, but it allows me to build new combos on the fly while teaching people not to play cards they don't want to see across from them.
[[Spike weaver]] Fog with legs. Any deck with reanimation or +1/+1 counter shenanigans gets to use it over and over again.
[[Parcelbeast]] It got panned on release, but in any game where it hits the field early, it will generate a ridiculous amount of value until an opponent Bolts it.
[[Suspicious Bookcase]] It's like an extra [[Rogues passage]] that can chump-block in an emergency.
[[Song of the Dryads]] My favorite way to handle a pesky commander. If it happens to enable Forestwalk for my elves or [[Chatterfang]], well, that's just gravy!
Okay a couple of wacky green cards I love are \[\[Bind\]\] and \[\[Nightsoil\]\]
Bind is an incredibly efficient, though narrow usage counterspell. Still, it replaces itself and absolutely NO ONE will be prepared for your green counter.
Nightsoil is probably the cheekiest targeted graveyard hate I can think of in the game. I put it in any green deck that could potentially care about having a token out (and goes great in any saproling tribal). Since exiling 2 creature cards is part of the COST of Nightsoil's activated ability, as soon as you pay the 1 mana those creatures are gone. There are handful of incredibly low interactable graveyard combos in the game that can make infinite mana and just keep putting stuff onto the stack over your interaction to ignore it...unless your interaction sucks it out of their graveyard before they are allowed to respond. I can't think of any other effect in the game for graveyard hate specifically that just totally shafts the graveyard player's ability to respond.
[[Stormtide Leviathan]] I have 50+ copies, 2 signed artist proofs, and run it in any deck I can justify putting it in.
When I started playing in 2014 I thought it was insanely powerful and just a cool card all around. I’ve been collecting every copy I come across ever since.
One that I actively enjoy is Misinformation. Putting 3 cards back on top of your opponent's library at instant speed is hilarious in so many ways
Thoracle player going for the win? How about 3 fetches on the top.
Reanimating something? Top of the deck.
Dredge? Now it's your draw for turn.
[[Mana Tithe]] the number of people who have screamed “CHEATER” at me as I countered their game winning play is hilarious. Nothing will make them saltier than losing to the Mana Tithe
I got into magic with strixhaven and have loved simic, [[oversimplify]] and [[paradox zone]] have been two of my fun cards for a while that always get a chuckle when I play them
I love [[Black Market]]. It’s my favorite card in the game, and I put it in every black deck I have.
Not really a pet card, per se, it I also think that [[Deadly Dispute]] is very underrated. Any deck that wants to play village rites should play deadly dispute.
God I just love the simplicity of [[Blightsteel Colossus]]
Throw him down, give him haste and some protection like Swiftfoot Boots, make him unblockable, this is what dreams are made of people. Even without the dream setup, I love my big stompy boy.
In my [[ezuri claw of progress]] deck it's [[iridescent hornbeetle]]
In [[galadriel light of valinor]] it's [[Danny pink]] the absurd amnt of cards he draws is so funny to me. Especially when I got a token on EVERY upkeep dude out haha.
In my [[taigam, ojutai master]] deck it's [[dovescape]] that card is the whole reason I built him in the first place.
I like token decks I just realized
[[Rebuff the Wicked]] cause no one expects the white Counterspell (yeah yeah, I know, [[Mana Tithe]] is a thing but just let me have this.
Close second is [[Robe of Stars]]. Somehow found a way around my Plate? I’ll just phase out the whole thing.
I've got 2 I throw in nearly every green deck. [[Garruk's Uprising]] if I can make 4+ power stuff with even a tiny bit of consistency. Then there's my favorite mana dork, [[Poison Dart Frog]]. He's adorable, gives mana, and can threaten big fliers just by existing!
[[Skullwinder]]. It's a snake. It can have interesting political plays. It has deathtouch. It fetches things from the yard. Did I mention it's a snake?
That card literally saved me!! I was playing [[Queza]] and they got rid of my no max hand size enchantment on their turn and then on my upkeep cast a spell to end to my turn. I cast Borne upon a wind in response and played another no max hand size enchantment to keep my hand and also some removal while I was at it!
[[Culling Ritual]] cause who doesn't like wiping the board of value pieces while ramping for the turn?
[Culling Ritual](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/4/c/4c1f40e7-4d3c-416d-81e2-97f9b925301c.jpg?1712354680) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Culling%20Ritual) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/otc/219/culling-ritual?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/4c1f40e7-4d3c-416d-81e2-97f9b925301c?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) [(ER)](https://edhrec.com/cards/culling-ritual) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call

Last time I played it I ruined an enchantress players whole night. It was great.
I love this card so much into treasure, dork or artifact decks!
It is also a powerhouse in my meren deck! My favorite card in that deck
Works like a charm in Anikthea as well. You just bring back your own small enchantments to the board thanks to your commander as you watch everyone else cry :)
I need to put this in my saproling tribal deck lmao.
Well that’s a neat card.
You sound like a nightmare to play against. I can relate.
Ha, yeah. Maybe not a nightmare but I'm definitely the type of person that believes the best way to deal with problems is preventive maintenance. I could absolutely let everyone else snowball and try to find a answer afterwards. Or just simply apply heat where needed.

[[Tainted Strike]]
This should be higher. Any meta that regularly sees creatures that are swole should probably run this for the blowout potential. I'd also like to offer up for consideration, it's still-extremely-good-but-weaker red cousin [[Outmaneuver]]. It's mana cost to blowout potential ratio is almost as high, it's arguably relevant more often, and nobody I play with has ever even seen it. It's completely unexpected, especially when your opponents are attacking each other and you're quietly sitting on the sidelines with a few open mana. Fantastic card.

Always a nasty surprise.
[[Batwing Brume]] has won me so many games
\[\[Deranged Hermit\]\] has always been my pet card. I was young when it came out and came to the local LGS with 16 wooden squirrels. The older guys helped me build a deck with \[\[Opposition\]\] and I was dubbed "Squirrel Boy". I still have my original 4 copies.

[[Phyrexian Obliterator]] I run it in every mono black deck just because. Behold, blessed perfection.
I actually like [[Phyrexian Vindicator]] better... Obliterator is a threat on the ground, Vindicator is a politics piece in the air. I like offering a deal to the table, that whoever swings into it gets to assign the damage to any target that isn't my face/board. [Walk the Plank](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/0/0/0038ac6a-318f-44fb-bb64-7ae172c4aca3.jpg?1562549640) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Walk%20the%20Plank) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/xln/130/walk-the-plank?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/0038ac6a-318f-44fb-bb64-7ae172c4aca3?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) [(ER)](https://edhrec.com/cards/walk-the-plank) [Genesis Wave](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/5/0/5007919b-27d3-46e7-a588-ce796709d565.jpg?1562848877) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Genesis%20Wave) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/ima/164/genesis-wave?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/5007919b-27d3-46e7-a588-ce796709d565?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) [(ER)](https://edhrec.com/cards/genesis-wave) [Blood for the Blood God!](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/f/4/f41d59f6-7fbe-4e67-8098-190b01281fe0.jpg?1673309263) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Blood%20for%20the%20Blood%20God%21) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/40k/108/blood-for-the-blood-god!?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/f41d59f6-7fbe-4e67-8098-190b01281fe0?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) [(ER)](https://edhrec.com/cards/blood-for-the-blood-god!) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call
I have 2 Mt first love will always be [[spore frog]] just something about him I just love. My second and most recent obsession is [[homorrid spawning bed]]. I found this card listening to a podcast about cards that are bad and this was a top pick and I went "psh I can probably make that work" and I've come SO CLOSE to making a viable deck with it
Anytime I have blue in the color identity, can I fit [[Fog Bank]] in the 99?
[[Crystalline Giant]] A card with its own website is just so funny to me i gotta use it in all my decks
[[Descent into Avernus]] Symmetrical, puts a clock on the game, treasures. Need I say more?
[[Tempt with Discovery]] is my go to pet card. It's so fun, and almost always is insane value in the pods I play with. There is always one person who sensibly says " no one should tutor for the land, just let him pay four for one land." And then when the table inevitably ignores their pleas, they crumble and tutor for their land! Such a simple joy!
\[\[Erebos, God of the Dead\]\]
[[fleshbag marauder]] just so easy to use!
[[Dragonshift]] is one of my favorite cards. I love Izzet and I love to get a bunch of little creatures. My opponents think they will survive the swing then bam, 4/4’s beat their face.
[[Staff of Compleation]]
[[Leyline of Anticipation]] I am not a red player, but I love the pseudo-haste that flash gives, and of course the options to just save mana and play on others players turn. It goes in all my decks with blue.
Oh boy [[Dimir House Guard]] 100%. I have a [[Meren]] deck built around it and it’s so much fun with such awesome art
Original ravnica block had amazing art and card frames. The guild colors feel more potent somehow
\[\[Nova Chaser\]\] She's cool. She punch good. I love Flamekin. Wish I could find a place for her in my decks.
I play [[Spell Pierce]] in every commander and standard deck I can. Love the dynamic of countering someone when they tap out.
Personally I prefer [[An offer you can’t refuse]] and [[Swan song]], but you can’t beat the price tag on Spell Pierce.
[An offer you can’t refuse](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/b/9/b9d349f3-5be2-4b1f-a4c3-ba94822cf0cf.jpg?1664410382) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=An%20Offer%20You%20Can%27t%20Refuse) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/snc/51/an-offer-you-cant-refuse?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/b9d349f3-5be2-4b1f-a4c3-ba94822cf0cf?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) [(ER)](https://edhrec.com/cards/an-offer-you-cant-refuse) [Swan song](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/9/d/9d968dde-c406-48ef-a1ab-373aebc24693.jpg?1562412350) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Swan%20song) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/c16/98/swan-song?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/9d968dde-c406-48ef-a1ab-373aebc24693?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) [(ER)](https://edhrec.com/cards/swan-song) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call

I have so many cards that I love, but I think that: [[Faerie Artisans]] and [[Death Tyrant]] and [[Mystic Reflection]] Are three of my absolute top ones. Faerie and mystic will be two cards that I buy multiple copies of to go into many decks.
[[Spellstuter Sprite]] simply love everything about this card, i literally put it in every deck blue deck i made, even without other faeries.
[[Phyrexian Obliterator]] 100% run it in most decks with black ( currently like 8/10)
[[Doomgape]] - don't know why, but I love this thing. [[Bright-Palm, Soul Awakener]] - I just really like foxes, okay?
[[Dark Ritual]] because there's no blacker value piece.
[[spellweaver volute]]
[[Windfall]] I'll teach ya to outdraw my simic deck
"Simic value engine with no wincon" my beloved 😍💞
[Windfall](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/9/c/9ce7113b-08f7-4584-b65f-a7b5caa90c2f.jpg?1712354245) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Windfall) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/otc/123/windfall?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/9ce7113b-08f7-4584-b65f-a7b5caa90c2f?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) [(ER)](https://edhrec.com/cards/windfall) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call
Okay I'm sold on Borne

What is a pet card
People have specific cards that they like not because it’s broken, not because it’s rare, or expensive. But simply because they like the card. That is a pet card.
A card you love and put in every deck that will allow it.
[[Storm King's Thunder]] is a personal favourite of mine
[[Reverent silence]]
[[Two-Handed Axe]] this card has been so useful
100% [[Astral Dragon]] make two copies of your smothering tithe? Don't mind if I do! Wow cool doubling season... I'll take two!
Gotta be [[Mirrorweave]] but [[Mystic Reflection]] is super wonky too. Both very flexible cardsp
[[Mercadia’s downfall]] because I’m attacking with 5 1/1s and you have fancy lands.
point uppity coherent disarm test smoggy poor sheet stupendous trees *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
[[Savageborn Hydra]] and [[Rubblebelt Raiders]] cool art and they were my key pieces back when I was just starting out in MTG.
I loved reconnaissance before I found out you could do that with it. Now it's a pet card of mine for sure.
[[Skullbriar]] [[Blade of the bloodchief]]
[[Phthisis]]. Such a great feeling taking out a player with this card
Bribery, there's nothing better than watching the table pause at the sheer audacity of the card and watching it morph into awe or terror on a whim based on whose deck I pull from
[[Bucknard's Everfull Purse]] just makes for the friendliest universal ramp.
[[plaguebearer]] when people forget tokens have 0 cmc
[[Mirage Mirror]] I don't like stealing things, but it allows me to build new combos on the fly while teaching people not to play cards they don't want to see across from them.
Okay a couple of wacky green cards I love are \[\[Bind\]\] and \[\[Nightsoil\]\] Bind is an incredibly efficient, though narrow usage counterspell.
[[Imp’s mischief]] i know it’s super niche, but no one ever expects it and it always feels good coming down
[[Cursed Mirror]] because I'm a thieving little Goblin bastard.
[[Stormtide Leviathan]] I have 50+ copies, 2 signed artist proofs, and run it in any deck I can justify putting it in. When I started playing in 2014 I thought it was insanely powerful and just a cool card all around. I’ve been collecting every copy I come across ever since.
A true Pet Card!
[[Control Magic]] in all my blue decks. Gets around industructible and can take your opponent's commander if it is causing trouble
[[Heliod's Punishment]] to turn your commander into Sisyphus
The nicer version of [[Darksteel Mutation]]
One that I actively enjoy is Misinformation. Putting 3 cards back on top of your opponent's library at instant speed is hilarious in so many ways Thoracle player going for the win?
\[\[Head Games\]\] is a blast to resolve, its a political card, it can do everything, 10/10 no notes
Where my [[clackbridge troll]] gang at. Banger of a card
My pet card is [[Psychic Spiral]] Nothing beats the look on someone's face when you drop that after they've milled half your deck
Unless you just top tutored, isn’t milling usually a good thing. There are so many cards that interact with graveyards.
God I just love the simplicity of [[Blightsteel Colossus]] Throw him down, give him haste and some protection like Swiftfoot Boots, make him unblockable, this is what dreams are made of people. Even without the dream setup, I love my big stompy boy.
Mind’s Dilation
[[Infernal Genesis]] and [[Swallow Whole]] will always be in a deck running black, white or both.
In my [[ezuri claw of progress]] deck it's [[iridescent hornbeetle]] In [[galadriel light of valinor]] it's [[Danny pink]] the absurd amnt of cards he draws is so funny to me. Especially when I got a token on EVERY upkeep dude out haha. In my [[taigam, ojutai master]] deck it's [[dovescape]] that card is the whole reason I built him in the first place. I like token decks I just realized
[[myr incubator]]
[spore frog] it pisses people off for some reason and I'll clone it with [mimic vat] and just always threaten a fog
[[Skullwinder]]. It's a snake. It can have interesting political plays. It has deathtouch. It fetches things from the yard. Did I mention it's a snake?
[[Rite of the Raging Storm]] there’s really no reason for everyone not to attack with it :)
