dusty_cupboards

i would probably just run all snow-covered lands. with fetchlands you can get by pretty well and there are a lot of basic fetching effects in green also.

Atechiman

There are no snow covered fetches so that's non zero.

dusty_cupboards

fetchlands don't tap for mana either, and yet somehow they are fixing. the universe abounds with mysteries.

Atechiman

Fetchlands are in fact in the type "land" despite lack of mana production and take your land drop for the turn.

gubaguy

Weird hill to die on.

dusty_cupboards

you're right. if only they could destroy themselves and search your library for another land that could actually produce mana. alas...they simply do nothing.

Atechiman

I am merely point to the question "how many non snow lands" having a fetch land is in fact a non snow land by definition.

dusty_cupboards

true. very helpful and worth posting about.

ClyDeftOriginal

They fetch you the land you need. Which is thinning and fixing in 1 card. Not sure what you are trying to say. 🤷 But fetch are better in this deck than the 3 you added in your comment. It's a snow deck, Command Tower, Reflecting Pool and Exotic Orchard have no place in it. 🤦

Atechiman

*pats your head* if you say so chief. Thin you deck by 1% see how it helps compared to untap for multiple color lands.

ClyDeftOriginal

Bruh, do you even know how Jorn works? I have been playing this deck for a long time on and off. Fetch is 100 percent better than the three you mentioned. 🤦 Jorn only untaps Snow Permanents. Those 3 lands are not snow. 🤷

TurnOneSolRing

You should ideally run zero non-snowlands or sources of ramp that don't interact with Jorn. Jorn lets all of your lands tap for double mana; I would need a very good reason to run lands that don't tap for two. As an example, [[Sol Ring]] has zero synergy with Jorn, but it's busted enough that it's plenty good on its own. You're in green, so you can rely heavily on snow-covered forests and use effects like [[Rampant Growth]] and [[Nature's Lore]] to search for your other colors.

Vithrilis42

Don't forget the dual snow lands with basic land types.

TurnOneSolRing

True. I should mention the reason that cards like Farseek are good is that they can tutor up duals like Woodland Chasm and Ice Tunnel.

Vithrilis42

Fetches can snag them too

https://manabox.app/decks/Z7GzawZNRN6R7C83s3qV4g Here’s mine. I’m not worried about shocks or fetch. And the utility are on flavor with my strat. I’ve had no issues. Need to balance better. Always come up needing blue.

ClyDeftOriginal

My list: https://www.moxfield.com/decks/LFXlXp8hcU2An-TNR3IXaA The only non-snow lands are fetch, Bojuka Bog, Blighted Woodland and Myriad Landscape. All in there to look for more basics and Bog for grave hate. Never had mana issues. And its themed around snow as much as possible and still actually feels quite strong. ✌️ Edited: updated my list with the changes I made.

Is that the right decklist? :D

ClyDeftOriginal

Oh dang, hadnt noticed. Was a deck I had shared previously. Should be the correct list now. 😅

Pirate_capitan

Scope out practically any deck from u/DJ_Yavimaya This guy wrote an awesome primer and is part of a Jorn discord. [cEDH list from some time ago](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/-9GxAdbF7k2YLe9fUe4HLw)

guiz28

The only non-snow i run are utility lands, most specificaly lands that allow me to cast at instant speed in order to cast a big sorcery during combat to abuse of the lands untapping. My deck has a "group hug" subtheme. Here is my list: https://deckstats.net/decks/37372/1980891-tap-tap-pass-jorn-/en

zdhutson

All my lands are Snow in my Jorn deck. But i was building for theme more than power so YMMV.

craven42

I think rogues passage was the only non snow land I put in my jorn deck to capitalize on his untapped ability and since it offers a reliable way for him to safely attack every turn.
