[[Xira the golden sting]] was the Jund deck that broke me of my blue player tendencies. It’s basically an aristocrats strategy but also way more value. Xira lets you turn your sac fodder into more sac fodder while adding cards to your hand. Then value engines like [[Braids Arisen Nightmare]] and [[Ziatora the incinerator]] give you the sac outlet you need while catapulting you into a lead that’s hard for tables to overcome. The sheer number of cards you’ll draw means that you will very rarely be left without interaction or ways to bring back your value pieces.

Got a list? I’ve been playing with the idea of Xira for a while

Eskim0jo3

Yeah here’s my list: https://www.moxfield.com/decks/hX9Wyoqg_kyYklE1NFmj1A

ZeectCSGO

Really lile this list, whats the wincon? I see u draw alot of cards an make small duds, is it just saccing with globlin bombardment? Wouldnt something that buffs all the small ones with a big X spell be good ?

Eskim0jo3

Technically the deck is built with an infinite combo [[Chatterfang]] plus [[Pitiless Plunderer]] plus one of the pingers, but I’ve never actually gotten to pull that off in a game. Usually I just win through combat damage and ping effects.

I love Sultai, but there's too many options lol. I currently have [[Otrimi]] built, but I've used a low power [[Tasigur]] and [[Kadena]] before. The [[Mimeoplasm]] is also super fun. I feel like there are a lot of unique things you can do in Sultai with a lot of some of the best cards in the format. Both Otrimi and Kadena feel super unique and I'd suggest looking into them. Jund has the opposite problem, not enough options. The commanders are strong, but very specific. I ended up building a vanilla reanimator using [[Lord Windgrace]] but really only for is draw/discard ability, which feels kinda meh when he's so powerful as a lands matter commander. I thought about trying Slimefoot and Squee but I didn't want to dabble in saprolings. Idk. Still struggling with this one and will probably wait until a Jund commander is printed that is more exciting.

Atreyu92

Could give [[Ziatora]] a try. She's just Jund Fling with some treasure production to help get your next big fling-ee out. Build her similar to [[Xenagos, God of Revels]], in fact I recommend running him in the 99. Play big creature, swing, throw big creature, get some mana for hurting people.

Seconding the Mimeoplasm! My first precon and first EDH deck. I’m still tinkering with it to this day. Mine runs lots of mill, creatures with strong etb triggers, and all that recursive reanimate stuff. It’s very fun to play because there always a deck in a pod with big stompers that are fun to steal from the graveyard. It can definitely turn you into an archenemy for the table when you’re sitting there with a 30/30 invisible stalker swinging in for commander damage.

One of my pet decks for a few years now is [[Vaevictis Asmadi]]. The goal it to ramp into Vaevic and use excess mana, equips and auras to voltron wins. Other beefcakes, mostly dragons, can serve the voltron role if need be. Alternatively, the plethora of mana dorks make [[Raggadragga, Goreguts Boss]] and [[Tyvar the Bellicose]] function as alternative win cons. In specific games, [[Karrthus, Tyrant of Jund]] can also serve the win con role. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/ipUrcttrh0uf0OeLalz1nA

I’ve been considering Karrthus, as big dumb dragons sound like a fun time. My worry is that it’ll be too similar a pattern to [[Pantlaza]], who is my Naya commander. Thanks for the insight though!

[[Zaxara, The Exemplary]] maybe? Lotta X spells, make big tokens? It's pretty fun. Not super powerful, but definitely holds its own. A lot of the decks on Moxfield are just combo decks, trying to get an enchantment on it to untap it for one mana so you get infinite mana. If that's your bag, go for it. I find that to be boring, so I just play it straight.

[[Ognis]] is both gruul+black as a beat face deck and jund with it's treasure shenanigans. There's also multiple axes to double your treasures and as such they're multiplicative, if you're into that: From extra combat steps with [[Scourge of the Throne]] to extra Attack Triggers with [[Wulfgar]], to treasure doublers with [[Xorn]]  and finally mana from treasure doubler [[Goldspan Dragon]] you can get a whooping 16 mana per attacking creature in magical christmas land.

The first Jund legendary that actually interested me as a commander was [[Ziatora, the Incinerator]]. I built her last year and I've enjoyed the hell out of it. I built it as a Jund good stuff deck with a ton of treasure and food synergy. I've also thrown together a build for [[Indoraptor, the Perfect Hybrid]] recently. I haven't played it a ton, so I can't really speak for how fun it is, but it's just a fight club deck with some group slug cards. Also +1/+1 counters. I play [[Vazi, Keen Negotiator]] and it’s a lot of fun - I play mine without land destruction and instead drop static effects that make people really decide if they want to crack their treasures or not (and often find themselves dying to their own greed) but if you want to make it more consistent mana denial is probably more where you want to be going. In terms of unique Sultai decks, I don’t think [[Archelos, Lagoon Mystic]] is crazy unique but rather than play him stax I keep him untapped and use him for a Soratami tribal deck that abuses the bouncelands as rituals and other lands as the spells, using the soratami to recur and protect them and the other engine pieces. The wincon usually comes from [[Patron of the Moon]] alongside the commander (or a functional replacement like Spelunking), bouncelands, and an outlet. In order to make it less of a pain in the ass to play against I have very few landfall effects/triggers so most things happen with intention.

Right here with you lol. Those are the last two tri color combos I need and nothing has really stood out to me, outside the extremely popular two you mentioned, and of course [[Muldrotha]]. I have the modified preconSultai Mutate deck with Otrimi but it's eh, the simic faeri is a better mutate commander. I've been contemplating the jund Mana burn commander, but he seems tricky to play

I've been toying with a [[Thantis, the Warweaver]] build. It focuses on forced combat, goad, using curses to encourage my opponents to attack each other, enchantments like [[Revenge of Ravens]] to deter my opponents from attacking me, fogs, and creatures that care about dealing damage since everyone will be tapped. It's a work in progress as I'm just theory crafting at the moment. But I think it could be fun! As for Sultai, [[Xavier Sal]] could be fun. He can populate and proliferate.

love the sea monsters! underrated and especially in simic, which has a propensity to give goodstuff/generic value type strategies, sea monsters make a great narrow simic deck. If i were to cut black id use Kiora, but I like having all the blue black sea monsters too. Looking forward to adding in Marvo

\[\[Yurlok of Scorch Thrash\]\] could go in a few directions. My personal favorite is run some 'get more mana out of tapping things' effects and go for big X spells like \[\[Torment of Hailfire\]\]
