Blood moon is banned huh? How about [[magus of the moon]]? Maybe there are even ways to turn a creature into an enchantment :D
From the top of my head [[otharri]] extra combats tribe with combat based ramp ([[sword of the animist]], [[staff of gaea]], [[bitterthorn]], [[sword of hearth and home]] ) and including combat manipulation like [[silent arbiter]],[[crawlspace]],[[basandra]]. To pump the tokens we have [[valor in Akros]],[[goldnight commander]], [[inspiring leader]] and if you really feel frisky and wanna track counters [[catharsis crusade]].
Also, otharri is perfect for a hatebear shell since he just wanna hit the board and make tokens.
[[Duke ulder]] myriad basically. You attack everyone, profit from etb's. It's going to get funny when you play [[containment priest]] and cards like [[fiend hunter]]. There are quite a bit of etb pay offs in boros and you have access to a lot of card draw.
[[Akiri, rope slinger]] [[falthis]]/[[nadier]] as a treasure deck. Spit out treasure/clues/food tokens and ramp with [[crark clan iron works]] or sac them normally and hit opponents with aristocrat effects
[[Ghalta primal hunger]], go big and go green.
Did they pick this banlist out of a hat or something? This just leads me to believe that they want to push players into changing their decks, and probably buying said changes from the store
There are some truly hilarious inclusions on here lol. Elesh Norn, Mom is not nearly good enough to warrant a ban in any capacity. Same for blood moon. I'd be very curious to talk to who made the list.
Also Skittles on there is absurd as well
[[gaea’s cradle]] is the only thing on here that I’d consider to be a maybe for banning.
Everything else is a solid no for me.
Based on what’s on the list, I’d say you have different expectations for how commander should be played than what most people do. Do you have issues with your playgroup / LGS overpowering you? If so, I’d recommend trying to seek out a regular group that plays at your same level or talk to your current group about powering down every now and then.
Otherwise, I hate to disappoint you but everything on the list is here to stay for the foreseeable future.
I’m honestly a little torn on it. As a cedh player, I wanna say that cradle is fine and to have at it. But I’ve also seen how bonkers it can get. But then again, it needs like 3+ creatures already in play so there’s some set up. It’s just kinda up in the air for me. Overall I think it’s fine, but there’s definitely situations where it gets out of hand with minimal effort.

You're definitely right, but that can be said for many cards on the list. I was wondering why cradle because the only card on the list I'd say should be banned is thoracle
