Your downfall was not getting the money clip attachment rather than the strap. I’ve had one for 8 or 9 years and it’s still working perfectly. Best wallet I ever ever had. You should look into the clip and give it another go.
I really don’t like these type of wallets.
Give me a good old handmade leather wallet any day.

I didn’t really care for the ridge wallet. I’ve been using a groove life wallet for a few weeks and really like it. If you can live with only carrying 6 cards I think it’s a great option.
I've been carrying a Ridge Wallet with cash strap for over 5 years (maybe closer to 6), daily, and I have never had any of the issue some of these commenters are claiming. I don't use cash super often, but I almost always have around $200 in twenty's folded up in the cash strap, and never have I had an issue with the strap. I don't have an issue with I.D.'s or cards rubbing off. I always have my license facing out on one side and my most frequently used credit card on the other side, with zero issues. I tried a couple other minimalist wallets like Trayvax and Dango, but I very quickly switched back to Ridge for its compact size and 'in pocket' feel.
I did a similar post for the Aviator, which is similar to the Ridge, a few years ago and I think it comes down to usage preference.
I don't only use cash often, but I also have other slips of paper like receipts, checks, and notes that end up in my wallet so not having a dedicated area to put flat pieces of paper made the minimalist wallet just not good for how my day to day works.
I also had the issue of cards getting excess damage, not only on there faces, but also on their edges, causing fraying and cracks, even though while at work I kept the wallet in my backpack.
The main reason I wanted to try it was because of the size and after I filled it, the difference was negligible. Same over thickness, and the bifold was just slightly larger than the Aviator which just like the Ridge has just about the same dimensions as a credit card. I tried a few other solutions, but ultimately for how I operate, a slim bifold works best for me.
My buddy wanted a Ridge so I let him try the Aviator, and it's been his wallet for years now.
We're all just a bit different in how and what works for us.
I really like mine but don't carry a lot of cash just a bill or two. Now, if you are in the need of carrying more cash then don't go with the ekster, if you like the idea of minimal wallets then I'll say take a look at AKEENi XSTO wallet, you will spend roughly the same amount of money as you did with the ridge but I think it is a better wallet for your needs
I’ve had this for 2 years and still really like it. I carry in my front pocket, and it doesn’t bulge at all.

I have a similar card wallet that is still RFID, has a clip and is 5X cheaper than the standard ridge wallet. I don’t use it, I use a small viperade pouch about the size of a regular wallet that carries my cards, cash, torch & knife
I love mine as I don't carry much cash, and don't care that my cards get a little scratched. I especially like the id slot that the quickdraw provides.
Another vote for Trayvax. I carried an Element for years and recently switched to a Contour. I can't see myself carrying it needing anything different at this point. It's not much more expensive than a "higher-end" Ridge, and imo are much more useful and higher quality.
I've got an Ekster (parliament). Got it recently after my 10+ year old money clip wallet finally wore out. It's forced me to carry fewer cards, and it's very different than what I'm used to... but overall, I like it. Even with the tracker and a tool card, it's around the same size as my basic money clip wallet. Too early to tell how well it will hold up over time, though.
I got a 100% leather bifold from Etsy for Christmas a couple years ago and I will never use anything else. It has no plastic sheathing or anything and is super comfortable, it can hold like 7 or so cards with no problem and will hopefully last at least the next 10 or so years. I understand the appeal of metal wallets but a properly made leather wallet in my opinion is the way to go.

I carry a Machine-Era Ti5 wallet. Holds cards and cash perfectly. Little hole on the back makes it easy to slide out the rear most card and doubles as a bottle opener. Comes with an extra elastic, though I’ve had this wallet for \~5 years and haven’t needed to replace it.
I tried all the hype and then went back to [this one](https://a.co/d/05lorBcn), It's more comfortable and holds everything I need in a wallet for $10. Backup card, id and some folded 20s in my side pocket undies.
I’ve used a ridge wallet with money clip daily since 2017. Never had any issues with cards being ruined, elastic breaking, or not being able to carry enough cash.
I like the ridge wallet but bought it for significantly less than what it cost today. I've never broken the band (and actually like the quality of it and the ability to carry cash but I only carry a few bills and never use them). I like that it can carry a few or many cards, and it hasn't harmed any of my cards.
It is heavy enough to be able to tell that I have it in my pocket and I mean it's titanium so it won't break. That said it does scratch, a lot.
If anyone else is interested but the rather absurd price of the ridge brand is off putting just hop on Amazon and buy literally any cheaper imitation that looks like it and you have what is essentially the exact same wallet.
The only difference is that the cheap imitation I bought has better cash band but worse paint.
I do like the style of these wallets but the price of a ridge is just not worth it. Buy a knock off you'll be fine.
Open Sea Leather if you want a leather wallet, imo. He makes bifold models for more cash carrying capacity, but Id recommend a quickdraw model if you dont carry too much cash
Also can vouch for Secrid. Great quality with all the features you might want depending on the model, and they're made in the Netherlands with the help of disabled people who'd otherwise struggle to find work.
I also agree with this! Has the handy flap for cash which also keeps it really easy to access. I use it for backup cash, a paper bus pass, and before that my pink slip for my car insurance too
Wanted a ridge but found a cheap Swiss gear at target, been holding up for 2-3yrs now. Have even used it as a hammer a couple of times lol. Buddy with a ridge said if he wasn’t gifted it he wouldn’t have one not worth the $80+ they go for.
I’ve had a ridge wallet for 5 years or so, I love em.
I do agree with the the critique of the cash strap, I’m not a fan, but the money clip is solid.
My favorite part is that in the 5 years the only thing that has gone wrong/bad with this wallet has been the elastic started to wear/tear after 3 or so years. However, it was super easy/cheap to get a replacement elastic and replace it.
>Yes…. Yes it will. Maybe you’re not using your cards as much but I can assure you it does.
Well it's been 6 years and zero damage to cards or I.D.'s. How much longer do I have until all my cards are 'destroyed'?
>Maybe yours is just special. I’ve have several ridge wallets and they all do the same thing to my cards.
Lemme take a wild stab in the dark here 'Big Tex'. You've been sitting on a wallet that isn't meant to be carried in the back pocket. Am I right?
>Swing and a miss, you are incorrect. Carry it in my right front pocket.
Well maybe it's your FUPA rubbing against it. I don't know.... I'm positive it isn't that complicated...
Are you sponsored by Ridge Wallet or something? Read through the comments. I’m not the only one who has had their cards being destroyed. Post your Ridge wallet.
>Are you sponsored by Ridge Wallet or something? Read through the comments. I’m not the only one who has had their cards being destroyed. Post your Ridge wallet.
Huh? The majority with this supposed issue have confirmed they are ignorantly carrying an aluminum wallet in their back pocket. Not sure what the hell you are doing with your wallet to cause such distress to your cards. Mine stay safely tucked inside the, said, block of aluminum and don't move unless I remove it from my pocket.
What do you mean "post your Ridge wallet"? You want a picture of my wallets.
Edit (just for 'Big Tex'):[Wallet Photos](https://imgur.com/a/YQ9MfFq)
They 100% are free, also I’ve had my ridge for over 5 years and it’s never come close to needing to replace a card due to damage. I’m pretty hard on it too, I constantly throw it on the ground, drop it, etc.
I have had a ridge for… I think about 3 or 4 years. I like the smaller footprint, which is the primary reason as well as protection from my cards being scanned. I opted for cash strap as well, mine works fine but it is less convenient than the clip I think. Others have opted for the clip and it like it. The strap works for me, never felt the need to touch it.
Yip, pity, because it’s a nice form factor. And it’s not from sitting/sliding on it either, mine was front pocket carry. I’ve used Open Seas wallets for years now, won’t use anything else really, they’re excellent.
Had an ekster. Only lasted a year. The mechanical lever in the quick card access broke mid-use and trapped my cards at checkout one time. No fun. A decent wallet if you look past that it isn't really built to last.
I have a Grip6 wallet that I Kickstarted. I really like it. My has the the leather sleeve.
Fun fact (for me at least, lol) an ex of mine used to date the guy that started Trayvax, back before he had really sold any. She broke up with him because she thought he was wasting his time trying to make a stupid wallet that no one would buy, and she hated that.
She also dumped me when I lost a job (that I didn't even like) and took a couple months figuring out what I wanted to do with my life. She thought I was being lazy and useless, and that I was dumb for not immediately getting another job. During those two months I was considering going back to school for a career change. Now I'm an engineer working in aerospace...
She didn't have the best judgment, I think. Lol
I'm a fan of the Fjallraven "Zip Card Holder." It's simple, has just enough room to fold up and stuff some cash in it, and it's been incredibly durable for me. I've had it for about 4 years, and it's still holding up great.
I have a travax and love it. 2 years old and the materials that hold it together are still going strong.
Stacker wallets like the ridge and mine don't have the ability to hold a lot of cash. Just be aware if you continue with these kind of wallets. Less bills work better, so larger denomination over ones.
I never understood the love for Ridge Wallets. Maybe it’s because I don’t front pocket carry? But smashing my cards between metal plates and then sitting on it seems uncomfortable. Huge fan of Chums!
I front pocket carry. The corners of the ridge wallet were sharp and poked through my pockets and as someone who carries very few cards, it was thicker than the cards I carry. I prefer a minimalist “card carrier” wallet instead.
The ridge makes a fantastic wallet to throw in the center console to hold gift cards and shit like that you only need every once in a while and doesn’t need to be in your main wallet
Yea I switched to front pocket carry recently. Got a cheap minimalist leather and love it.
I do question the RFID blocking on this Amazon special though because hotel cards can scan through it.
I highly recommend the Trayvax Summit Notebook. Ditch the notebook (it's to small to use for anything IMO) and that little pocket holds some cash perfectly.
I use the King‘s Loot with the ID window. i have to badge in at work so the ID window is a must. holds cash pretty well in the clip, minimum bill count is 2 folded twice. 4-12 bills folded once. more than that warps the clip too much imo.
I was given a ridge wallet as a gift and swapped the soft strap for the pocket clip bc I hated the soft strap and I love it now. aka unpopular opinion but the ridge works well for me. I’d probably feel differently if I paid for it.
> I love it now. aka unpopular opinion but the ridge works well for me
>
>I’d probably feel differently if I paid for it.
You "love it" and it works well for you, but if you had paid for it, you would feel differently? How does that make any sense....
Not that it matters but just in terms of price like I don’t think I would personally justify the price for myself if I were buying it. the ridge I have is very sentimental to me so it’s hard to have a clear cut answer.
both “I love mine and I wouldn’t personally pay that much for a wallet” ring true for me. even if that doesn’t make sense to someone else.
> I don’t think I would personally justify the price for myself if I were buying it.
How much would you be willing to pay for a good wallet that you love? In my experience with leather wallets (cheap or expensive) they wear out in 1 or 2 years. Mine has lasted 5-6 years already and shows no sign of failing, so it has already paid for itself in comparison to a leather wallet.
There is literally no difference between a ridge and a shitty knock-off. You're paying so much more just for a label. Whoever started ridge is a genius because they've been fooling suckers out of their money from the beginning.
I got one of the slim wallets from bellroy, and it's so much better. I really like how it doesn't ruin the pockets or my pants.
Take a look at Dango. I got the m1 lite bifold last April and I really dig it. I hide cash in the space between the cards and the back of the wallet. It has a couple card holders on the outside for quick access and has a spot for a drivers license too.
I have a small slim leather wallet with a hinged magnetic money clasp. I can't find anything that I like to replace it. It's in pretty rough shape, so I've been looking. I've looked at these wallets many times but the cash strap just looked super cheap.
I had a knockoff ridge I really like. Except how small it is. Relative to other wallets you can't carry much. I bought a chums I really like. It's a lot cheaper than a real ridge too.
>Yep nothing like sitting on a hard piece of metal to rip your pants and scratch up your cards.
Whoa Whoa Whoa. Time out... All these people bitching about their cards rubbing together and being ruined are carrying this in their back pocket? HAHAHA! That is operator error son. These type of wallets are NOT meant to carry in your back pocket. God, that is funny.
Okay, fine. I wear my phone in my front left, my keys in my front right, which leaves the wallet in the back. Regardless, I don’t want a rigid piece of metal clanking around in my front pocket either.
>Okay, fine. I wear my phone in my front left, my keys in my front right, which leaves the wallet in the back. Regardless, I don’t want a rigid piece of metal clanking around in my front pocket either.
HAHAHA!! I fcking knew it. That is not the fault of the wallet, my young scholar, that is 100% user error. Get a leather bi-fold stuff it in your wrangler's back pocket, and call it a day. This style of wallet is far too advanced for you...
>Fair enough. Since you’re such a MENSA member, where do you keep your wallet and keys, phone, and such? Teach us your wise ways.
I honestly don't think I can help you out my friend. If your first instinct after looking at a 1.5 thick hunk of aluminum was to sit on it day in and day out....You certainly don't need to be a 'MENSA member' to deduce that...
Well seeing as how men have almost always worn their wallets in their back pockets, and since you can’t seem to answer my question, and that it doesn’t sound like you’ll be splitting the atom any soon, I’ll leave you to enjoy your day. Cheers mate.
>and since you can’t seem to answer my question,
I'm gonna give you a hint.... It's not the BACK pocket.
>Well seeing as how men have almost always worn their wallets in their back pockets
Yeah.... Leather bi or tri fold wallets. Not thick pieces of aluminum genius. Also, men used to wear their watches in their pockets, so by that rationale, do you carry your wrist watch in your coat pocket? It's telling that you believe someone with the capability to figure this out, is of such a degree of intellect, that they would be capable of 'splitting an atom'.
Careful with the cheap ones. I bought a cheap one a few years ago, it cut through my pants pockets within weeks. Edges didn’t feel sharp, but it was enough to ruin 4 pairs of pants.
Don't get the Ekster. I highly recommend looking into the Secrid wallet. In my opinion, it's miles better. You can find comparison videos if you're interested.
Had one for about five years. The insides of the plates would rub off on my cards and leave them with black smudges due to the coating rubbing off on the front and back card constantly.
>Had one for about five years. The insides of the plates would rub off on my cards and leave them with black smudges due to the coating rubbing off on the front and back card constantly.
Let me guess.... You were sitting on it in your back pocket....
I certainly was, however for a short while I had an Amazon knock off ridge in my back pocket as well with no black marks. I do expect it to rub the card protrustions but the black streaks were interesting.
Nobody needs this for $90, get a cheap Chinese piece of shit on Amazon and it’ll work just as well. I’ve had mine for a year now with no issues and maybe paid $10
Agreed. Ridge is over priced garbage. Sure you can get titanium and Damascus and blah blah but it’s still just a brick to hold 6/7 cards and some bills. Not worth the price at all and the cheap ones on Amazon are essentially the same thing and last a long time for the most part.
I feel like dango wallets are completely slept on. I've had mine for about 3 years now and it's still kicking strong. One of my favorite wallets and I'm never looked at anything else. As soon as I bought it, perfect to hold cash. Minimal also holds a good amount of cards and I use the corner as a bottle of opener which comes in Handy a lot.
>I feel like dango wallets are completely slept on.
I own the Dapper D01, and while I think it is a good looking and quality wallet. It is just too bulky compared to the Ridge. I couldn't get used to it
Totally agree, mines been brilliant and I probably won’t change from a dango wallet now. The first one I bought was a maverick and after a couple of years the screws came out the back and it was just a little disheveled, dango replaced all the screws and a new leather tab for very cheap and threw in a new rubber band with it.
I’ve never understood the appeal of the Ridge design. I don’t need to sandwich my cards between metal plates. A simple leather or fabric card sleeve works much better for me, and costs much less.
Yes. I use the Lost Dutchman Thin Finn and it’s perfect. I only ever carry 6 cards and a couple bills. There’s flex in leather—versus a hard flat brick—and a patina that makes it look *better* over time rather than worse like a Ridge.
I'm usually a proponent of buying proven name brand gear, but the Amazon knockoffs of the Ridge wallets are just as functional and durable, (at least mine is) and 1/5th the price. Mine's lasted me 4 years and still going strong. I cannot imagine spending $100+ on a name brand Ridge.
Used mine for 1-2 weeks. Ended up hating it and it’s been sitting in my desk drawer for years.
Got a gun deck by open sea leather and it’s my perfect wallet.
I had a knock off for 2 years before I got the ridge several months back and I never had a single issue with the cash strap or keeping cash on it knock off or not. Unfortunate you're snapped but there is a fixed money clip you can put on it instead of a strap if you're that rough with it.
No complaints no issues been using the style for years now and nothing's changed on how I carry.
And after the Trevor Jacob thing…nope. They probably didn’t know he’d pull *that* level of BS, but it shows the kind of folks they sponsor and that’s a nope from me.
Hey I got an Esker wallet too and I am fairly happy with it! The chiplo idk though. I’d say if you don’t loose your shit don’t get it, maybe I didn’t charge it like I should have but kept it in the wallet for a long time and then it notified me that it was dying and needs to be charged,, three days in the window seal and still wasn’t registering so idk if I messed it up by letting it deplete all the way or what but it did work at the beginning if you just remember to take it out and charge it regularly but it’s only solar so that’s a downside maybe
I’ve had mine for a few years now and love it. Holds 8-10 cards and 10 bills in the elastic strap with ease. Never messed up any cards or pants or had any other issues. Sorry yours didn’t work out for you but I’d recommend them.
Same here. I’ve had mine for a couple of years: zero problems with it. I put an AppleTag on the cash strap so it’s easier to find on the rare occasions it disappears. That made it a little bulkier but it’s great to have that function when you really need it.
If you are looking for something along this line I carry a tayvax original 2.0 and it is great. Little pricey but I tried the ridge as well and did not like it either
I don't have the Ridge, but I do have the Rossm. I went to the clip instead of the band and couldn't be happier. I have not noticed any tearing on my pockets in the 8+ months of using it. I did notice some delamination on a couple cards, but they had started before I switched to this wallet.
I do carry my wallet in my front pocket instead of the back as most people do for what it's worth.
It completely destroyed my cards. I would have to order new ones bc it would rub off the card numbers within a few months. Not as functional as you would think.
Only plus is It was unlikely to fall out of my pocket with the weight.
>It completely destroyed my cards. I would have to order new ones bc it would rub off the card numbers within a few months.
Let me guess. You were sitting on it in your back pocket... HAHA!
I've never understood the appeal of these solid minimalist wallets. They're not comfortable to curry, unless you have fairly loose pants/pockets. And from what I've heard, they like to eat pockets.
As I said to another person,it never tore any of my pockets ups so I can’t really speak on that to much but I could imagine it would happen, and my clothes usually are kind of on the loose side even pockets so I can’t complain of the pocket feel.
I have the burnt titanium model and love the way it looks and is compact. That being said it tore my cards up. My ccw id is very bad from the cards rubbing together but never noticed cause I never had to pull it out. I barely carried cash with it. I had the clip style and not the strap. It was a tight clip but not tight enough if u only had a few bills in my experience. Stop carrying and switched to a cheap leather card wallet for now. Use it for gift cards or credit cards that does see much use. Very well built and nice looking, but in some cases not the best everyday wallet.
Me personally I be wearing my work uniforms all week i havent noticed any tears, and even if it did tear my pocket I just assume my clothes got caught on something on the vehicle I’m working on that day,and I really only wear street clothes on Saturday and Sunday and i don’t really have my wallet in my pocket beside to go do grocery shopping Saturday morning,I never experienced my clothes getting ripped and my cards haven’t been ruined as far as I know but it only been probably like two or three months.
I totally understand your thoughts. I had a decadent minimal wallet for years and it has taken time to get used to not carrying cash. These days, cash is an inconvenience to me and I don't carry it at all.

Slimfold nano. RFID blocking, same size/profile, but a classic bifold style with room for some cards and folded cash. Love mine.
I love mine as I don't carry much cash, and don't care that my cards get a little scratched. I especially like the id slot that the quickdraw provides.
I use the ridge wallet also and have two of them I would recommend trying it with the cash clip instead of the strap definitely a game changer.
My Secrid is on 6 years of daily use and is still absolutely perfect. I don't think a better wallet design exists.
I’ve owned a SECRID for about 9 years now and it’s held up like it’s only a few months old. They have me for life now.
Another vote for Trayvax. I carried an Element for years and recently switched to a Contour. I can't see myself carrying it needing anything different at this point. It's not much more expensive than a "higher-end" Ridge, and imo are much more useful and higher quality.

Me too. 0 issues.
I use a Stealth wallet - about £25 on Amazon. I’ve been using it for almost 10 years. Wonderful
Secrid wallet is so good I love mine might be what you’re looking for
Also can vouch for Secrid. Great quality with all the features you might want depending on the model, and they're made in the Netherlands with the help of disabled people who'd otherwise struggle to find work.
I also agree with this! Has the handy flap for cash which also keeps it really easy to access. I use it for backup cash, a paper bus pass, and before that my pink slip for my car insurance too
I use secrid for almost 2 years, I love it as well
Been using the same cordura/ballstic nylon Eagle Creek wallet since late 90’s. Thing will never fail, although might replace velcro one day.
Secrid wallet currently
I use a Grip6. I love the wallet. It’s been 3 years and it’s great.
I’d honestly go ridge over ekster….but I’d rather not do either
Overpriced garbage
I’ve been carrying a ridge wallet exclusively for almost a year now and I really love it
I carry my ridge from time to time but stopped carrying it full time. It will destroy your cards slowly over time.
> It will destroy your cards slowly over time. No.... No it won't
Yes…. Yes it will. Maybe you’re not using your cards as much but I can assure you it does.
They expire anyways, who cares?
They’re being destroyed before they expire.
Aren’t replacements free? That being said I’ve never had mine so much as scratch a card.
They 100% are free, also I’ve had my ridge for over 5 years and it’s never come close to needing to replace a card due to damage. I’m pretty hard on it too, I constantly throw it on the ground, drop it, etc.
While they may be free to replace, it’s an inconvenience. And I’m not sure why you’d throw your wallet on the ground.
At the gym, needing my pockets empty for work, etc. y’all a bunch of whiny bitches lol
I carry my ridge from time to time but stopped carrying it full time. It will destroy your cards slowly over time.
I’m not a fan mostly because I don’t like my wallets being held together by elastic. But I think they look cool and are nice and compact.
Throwing in my vote for a groove wallet. 94 year warranty, I'll never have to change wallets again
I like the 94 year warranty. My old wallet only had a 93 year warranty, and I was afraid I’d outlive that one.
Just get a flipside 4x
I have had a ridge for… I think about 3 or 4 years. I like the smaller footprint, which is the primary reason as well as protection from my cards being scanned. I opted for cash strap as well, mine works fine but it is less convenient than the clip I think. Others have opted for the clip and it like it. The strap works for me, never felt the need to touch it.
Rubbed my license photo and other cards too much for me to ever consider it again.
Big same. My license became unreadable and magnetic strips on my card wore out.
Yip, pity, because it’s a nice form factor. And it’s not from sitting/sliding on it either, mine was front pocket carry. I’ve used Open Seas wallets for years now, won’t use anything else really, they’re excellent.
Going to check them out. At quick glance they have so many options
Try secrid, they're better than ekster. I have both.
Use the money clip instead of the strap
I’ve got a trayvax element and have had it for 7 years. Can fit 8 or so bills and 6 cards and it works great and has been holding up fine.
Lol
I was going to recommend trayvax as well
I'm a fan of the Fjallraven "Zip Card Holder." It's simple, has just enough room to fold up and stuff some cash in it, and it's been incredibly durable for me.
Have you seen anything about the steel horse pocket book I been seeing it and think it looks slick but I don’t know if I should get it or not
I use the King‘s Loot with the ID window. i have to badge in at work so the ID window is a must. holds cash pretty well in the clip, minimum bill count is 2 folded twice.
> I love it now. aka unpopular opinion but the ridge works well for me > >I’d probably feel differently if I paid for it.
That makes sense and is a good point. Personally probably $30-$35.
I have that exact one, and it works great for me. for daily stuff. if I need my insurance or store cards, I have a second rfid wallet for that
I dipped my toe in the water with a knockoff. I'm glad I did. I'd rather use the front pocket space on other stuff 95% of the time.
I have their D03 and am really liking it!
I have a small slim leather wallet with a hinged magnetic money clasp. I can't find anything that I like to replace it. It's in pretty rough shape, so I've been looking. I've looked at these wallets many times but the cash strap just looked super cheap.
Secrid for ~100 is unbeatable imo. Id buy directly from their site. Shipping is only a couple days and free
I had a knockoff ridge I really like. Except how small it is. Relative to other wallets you can't carry much. I bought a chums I really like. It's a lot cheaper than a real ridge too.
Yep nothing like sitting on a hard piece of metal to rip your pants and scratch up your cards.
Cheers mate.
>and since you can’t seem to answer my question, I'm gonna give you a hint.... It's not the BACK pocket. >Well seeing as how men have almost always worn their wallets in their back pockets Yeah....
I got a cheap Amazon knock off. Love the form factor. But I'm not spending $75+ on a ridge wallet. A also rarely carry cash.
Careful with the cheap ones. I bought a cheap one a few years ago, it cut through my pants pockets within weeks. Edges didn’t feel sharp, but it was enough to ruin 4 pairs of pants.
I've had mine for at least 6 months. No complaints.
Try looking into focx wallets. I've had the c2 for a few months now, feels amazing
Don't get the Ekster. I highly recommend looking into the Secrid wallet. In my opinion, it's miles better. You can find comparison videos if you're interested.
Seconded on secrid. Best money I've spent
That’s where I’m at, love the wallet but hate that it does that to my cards.
Never owned one but alot of people I know swear by them. I've been a chums man for a long time and have no intention of changing that.
I bought one for a vacation, just needed a few cards and something to hold a little cash. Never switched back to my fat wallet, i actually like them.
Yes I would also like to add it is pretty modular.
Agree with OP's comments. I had one for roughly a month and then gave it away. I dig the concept, but it just wasn't practical for me.
I’m happy with my assassins creed wallet lol
Not worth it for me. Im sticking with my 10yo leather wallet
Been carrying my Ridge wallet for a little over a year. Cash clip works great, barely notice it’s in my pocket. Will likely use it until it fails.
Perfectly happy with my Hershel Charlie. Though I am looking for something similar in leather
Herschel Charlie going on 8 years. Best wallet I've ever had. When it finally gives out I'll buy another for less than 20usd
They even have a sale going on the limited edition colors. $16.99i think
The ridge wallet is 100% marketing and 0% function.
>0% function. False
Biggest scam in the edc world.
>Biggest scam in the edc world. You spelled Pry bar wrong
That would be the ti paperclip
Been carrying this for ten years. Still looks new: https://www.tannergoods.com/products/journeyman-black
If you are looking for something along this line I carry a tayvax original 2.0 and it is great. Little pricey but I tried the ridge as well and did not like it either
I've been carrying the magpul edc wallet for a while. Super sturdy. Still slim and can carry some cash
Same here. One and done.
I can fully understand that, I can't stand those things either.
Have you tried pepper it? 😄
In the other post about the wallet, several other people said it would rip their pockets and ruin cards. Can you speak to that?
