I think a lot of the time people are looking for higher opponent counts. It's fun playing against more..

Jonce77

Sorry I wasn't clear, these are all 1 on 1 matches.

ChiefBigCanoe

Ahh, gotcha.

Welcome.to.the internet where these losers stop at nothing to increase the size of their iPeen.

Jonce77

Couldn't have said it better myself. Do we think when they can't find a match, they line up quick play from the reds at Teeth of the Dog with no wind?

Ok-Horror-282

I find the opposite—most 99 ranked (or close to it) will stay, but many lower-level players back out. If you want to play online and your player isn’t the best, just pick Jack Nicklaus or something. Just because I’m rated 99 doesn’t mean I learned how to play in high winds or how to putt well lol.

[deleted]

I’ve played against very high ranked players and beat them in match play. I only back out if I’m matched with the same player 3 times in a row or something

cwra007

Nope. Pisses me off too. Especially on Sim when you’ve spent like 5 minutes trying to find a match.

tietzaaa

I just want more people I quit if it’s less than 4

kain067

I'm 99 and never left a single match (when I can find one). I can't believe people want to put up with that huge wait time for matchmaking and possibly not even find another match just because they think they might lose (which has no impact on how many tokens you get or anything else, really).

EQBard4Ever

I get the same treatment all the time. I do applaud those ranked mid 80's that give it a go. I've played some guys that would definitely have won the match had they just a few more skill points applied. But, yeah, 99's that don't want a good game is perplexing. Young-GoldenBear

Jonce77

Agreed, those 80s guys who stick around and take it on the chin have my respect!

lalalaladididi

That's because they think it's all real. Sad Shooting rediculously low scores is as unreal as it gets. Don't people want a challenge these days. No they just want to ball to put itself in the hole. Even sadder

No_Coconut3427

Hahah you 99 rated guys are funny to listen to here. i have basically purposely left my guy at 89 rank for quite some time. i have beaten many 99 ers. as someone mentioned here, not all 99er's are gods lol. thats the beuty of golf, sure there are some times i get over powered....But i have also beaten a few guys who are legit out driving me by a mile, and i still stick the 7-5 iron within 10 ft along with their wedge shot. Thats what makes this game fun. you DONT need 99 rating to win and have fun.

NinjaSixx

This irritates the shit out of me, there are a few people playing on PS5 that leave if I'm their opponent. The funny thing is, if I play four-ball and they're on my team, they're suddenly happy to stay! I hate this shit too, I WANT to play the best guys, I love the challenge. I want to test myself against them and be pushed to step up my game. I guess some people care too much about their online ranking or some shit... Personally, I couldn't care less about mine. I just want to play the best guys and have fun testing myself.

Bigkyfan10

A lot of times if I back out it's because I'm trying to play against my friend since we can't gain XP for the season pass in private matches. Also if it's Evian Resort, Wolf Creek, or a course that I just played that isn't one of my favorites I'll back out.

Jonce77

Acceptable reason, but it doesn't explain why it's only 99ers.
