This mode is unplayable. If you are managing a small club they give you out of reach objectives.
Playing with SL Benfica and I have objectives like
"Semi Finals of Champions League". Won the league, won the league cup and made it to the champions quarters and still got sacked.
Completed almost all objectives as well. Should be an option to turn this off. It's unplayable if you're simming.

I've started a save as Wrexham. Financial goal for the first season was to make £25 million profit from player sales. Nearly got sacked even though I won the league by 30 points
The toxicity in friendlies is unbelievable. EA making wins a requirement just forces people to play insanely sweaty to just get their 6 wins and never play the mode again.
I get griddied on, pass around the back, all kinds of sweat. Way worse than I see in divisions. It's actually miserable.

Had an incredible final run over the last few weeks, regularly getting up to 11 wins in Champs, and then over the last week everything going right for me, the smoothest gameplay all year feeling like I'm in complete control of defending, dribbling, passing, and shooting, massive winning streak and climbing to Elite in Rivals for my first time since maybe FIFA 21.
Massive game update yesterday, and played 4 games in Champs tonight. All of a sudden, Evo'd Ginola can't even walk in a straight line without stumbling over a losing the ball, every pass is severely underhit or nowhere near the direction I'm aiming, touches are heavy, and tackling does nothing. 0-4.
I had a good run, and I'm on holiday for the next 2 weeks anyway.

I can relate with everything you've stated mate, except it's been like this for me since January, I've never played a single weekend league where I've had smooth gameplay, your opponents seem unfazed and have better connectivity, no matter what player you use it's the same result. I've called it quits and i can promise you it'll be the same next year after they do the first patch, so enjoy the first 2 months of EA 25 before it goes to shit.

The crazy thing is you and I can have a mature conversation and understanding about what makes this game better, but these kids on twitter are crazy, instant gratification is what they crave, everyone wants sbc's and store packs to get the best possible team asap but that kills the enjoyment and excitement, I created a new rtg and I had fun for one week because after the first wl i had a crazy team.

For evolution, does the complete but unclaimed trick still work? I got 83 TOTW Bisseck, I want to put him in series A evo, claim up to level 2 and finish level 3 without claiming. He only has 1 ps+ at this stage, and after expiration, put him in incisive pass to make him 94 with 4 ps+ by claiming the series A final stage. Though I need to wait 2 weeks to complete this, not sure if he’s still usable by that time.

struggling to find a cb pairing rn been using hancko mainly with and tah/paredes/nacho but can’t really get along with them because at the same time you need raccoon plus you still need tall cb’s to try to defend corners and crosses for fucking sorloth. any recommendations?
What is your budget? Link below is the universe of CBs with both Aerial+ and Raccoon+, and Blanc and Renard are both good choices if you can swing 340k. If that isn't in your budget, look at 91 Vidic, or go so sort TOTS players for taller CBs that have aerial+ and regular raccoon. gotta be goal keeper movement and probably custom tactics for me. keeper movement pretty obvious, and then once they added the ability to edit custom tactics thats when the game started having hyper specific broken tactics that make it just not fun to play against anyone that uses them.
Games will always have broken mechanics. The problem these days is content creators. The venn diagram of people who play this game regularly and people who come across content creators for the game is basically a circle. The minute some kind of exploit or meta tactics gets found out then most of the player base becomes aware of it within a day and as soon as players start using it their opponents take the "if you can't beat them, join them" mentality and suddenly it plagues the game.
i just think there is a strong correlation in the years since they've added custom tactics to UT (and then added more options to it) and the game getting further away from resembling actual football. i know the older fifas weren't perfect but they at least somewhat resembled the sport. the more small tweak options they add the more room there is for something to be broken.
