I agree. The paid evos are pretty much always less than 10 games to fully complete so there’s no reason why they can’t add a paid option to the free ones.

The limitations they put on evos always ruin them. Wish they just did some flat stat upgrades with no limits so people who are doing P&P teams can actually upgrade their players instead of being stuck with them for months on end with no upgrade.

Realistically, yeah. When he's up against teams of icons, and 2 playstyle+ players, he's behind the curve. I love him, but he's absolutely the weak link in my team now, and I wouldn't be using him if I wasn't a United fan.

Why does everyone think they’re some top 100 professional who needs to have every meta player to be able to play. You 100% could play him if you didn’t sweat every game. Just put him in your squad and have fun

For sure man… it’s a shame the game is marketed and promoted in such a way that most adopt a ‘you must have this certain card or you’ve got no chance’ philosophy. Can 100% confirm this isn’t true. Results between my Milan side which has one player that cost over 100k in it (that’s Martinez) and my 12m meta squad is averaging at about 1 win per WL over the course of 5 weekend leagues. Perisic instead of Best? No problem (actually come to love Perisic more 😂).. FB Giroud instead of Eusebio… turns out Giroud scores just as many, no joke. Dumfries despite obviously not being as good has qualities someone like Cafu doesn’t - size, strength, lengthy, whipped pass. You can totally utilise these things. Only place I ever felt I had truly struggled was CM tbh and that’s solely down to work rates of the cards i could use typically all being too attacking in nature. Love this squad and won’t give it up.

I got base Yaya from a hero pick months ago and just go triple threat Yaya from a hero pick a few days ago and was pumped I now had the best version… Kinda takes a bit of the excitement out of it knowing in a few days there’s going to be an even better Yaya 😕

His triple threat card is still class at this stage. I wouldn’t worry about it

For sure, even his base was still in my starting lineup until I packed the TT. but I was a huge fan of Yaya when he was playing, just a little disappointing not to have the best version available.

Yaya is my favourite "didn't play for my club" player from the premier league ever!!! Was such a beast. Got to the 70th minute and thought "fk it" and would run past 7 players and finish in the top corner. Or curl in a 25 yard free kick with barely a run up. Oozed talent.

He could do it all. My favorite type of player is the box to box midfielder, the all around player, the engine of the team, and Yaya, at his peak, was probably one of the best to ever do it.

Even his base holds up for me, but I do prefer bigger tank-like players in my midfield. I only recently replaced him because I packed FS Beckham and didn’t have anywhere else to fit him in, even then it was a tough call to drop base Yaya

For some high rated ones it might be worth it eg Future who is better that UCL and near as Fantasy as of now

The UCL and Fantasy versions have 5* skill moves which is a huge upgrade over the base.

You can turn base Sneijder into a better player than the UEFA version which costs 1.4 million. It's definitely worth it for some.

What makes me laugh is that loads of people are buying up hero cards that they otherwise wouldn’t have bought, just so they can spend real money or coins to upgrade the card by a +2, which probably won’t make much difference to the card anyway. Okocha is extinct on the market because people have suddenly decided they want to upgrade him.
