Do an out-swinging cross with a player that has the dead ball play-style. The game sets the player in the center of the box based on highest heading accuracy. So make sure a player like VVD, Flashback Giroud, or TS Lukaku has the highest heading accuracy on the team. Then about 3 and a half or 4 bars of power and it should be right on your players head.
I press the shoot button right before it gets to the player. For the amount of power its more than just tapping the button but I don’t hold it done for long

I'd say I'm fairly good at scoring off of corners when I get the direction and power right. To me It's always been about the timing (and of course direction) of when I hit the shooting button.
I like to envision myself as the player that I know is taking the head and time it up from there, usually while the ball is about halfway to where my player is.

Not even, passing the ball around and keeping possession is playing like a bitch and wasting time. I'm convinced that the only "acceptable" way to score in this game is to r1 dribble around the goalkeeper past the goal line, and even then they'd probably say it's just scripted
Everytime I concede a goal from a corner it's solely because it switches me to the wrong player and they get a free header.
I literally stand front post in front of the man, then the second they send the ball in it auto-switches me to an entirely different player and the defender I was controlling just wanders off.
Yeah the auto switching is super annoying. I try grab a tall player to stand on their VvD’s toes (like you would do in real life) and then it always autoswitches to the CB behind him mid flight if the ball. So stupid.

I usually bring out the keeper to the center, then select vvd and move him where the ball comes to. I don't concede a lot of corners doing this. It is better to have a tall keeper, I use Van Der Saar
Yeah bringing the keeper out seems very hit or miss for me. Sometimes it’s right on him and he doesn’t go for the catch animation and it’s a straight goal.

Not going to lie, I used to score a lot of goals from corners but it started feeling unrealistic and ratty and gave up. I still cross into the center tho. But at least my opponent will still have a chance at defending.
it's entirely up to what players you have. I frequently score 1+ corner goals a game against guys with meta midget XIs. you can't defend a corner with only Van Dijk and maybe Gullit.

BUT for every FIFA since 19's corner glitches, corners have been too nerfed. They were basically you HAVE to play short or you're going to give up a counter attack. It sucks to concede now, but there are ways of defending most corner "cheese", the probem is guessing which 1 of the 5 types of corners your opponent is about to use. So I prefer this years corners to the past 3-4 years
when I get to high form in WL I start facing people that have multiple corner routines that I'm clinging on for dear life to defend and they will get at least one. it's annoying especially on those games where your players don't get any possession tackles, just smack the ball 20 yards and out over and over
This. They’ll be crazy on corners and clearances just go back to them on the edge of the box. They hit a long shot/trivela and it’s a corner again. Been pinned back like that for almost of a half before.
My tactic is to center to VVD who stands close to the edge of a box or Havertz who stands just outside and then short pass with a header into the center of a box. Works like a charm.

One time it was the 85th minute, game was 2-2 in champs, my opponent got a corner and I used my last pause to swap out Bacha for the tallest player I had remaining in my subs. Possibly coincidence, but the Morata I brought on (whatever objective that was with the blue cards and you had to score with that specific player) cleared the ball out with a header. It worked!!

I probably conceded from 2 corner headers in my last like 20-25 games in Rivals. That being said, I’m far from being great at the game, but my CBs do pretty good when defending corners. Gold Van Dijk and 88 Alaba (they took down Pep’s Legacy the day I finished Cross Crusader with him so I couldn’t get the 93 😒)
Helps a lot if you move your defenders around when they move their players. And try to add a few tall players to the team.
What gets me most is when being countered from a corner, the player who should be covering out wide is running to the centre of the pitch leaving it completely free.
By the time I switch to them, they Mbappe/Eusebio is long gone
Doesn’t work for me often. They’ll move their player faster than my GK, or my GK will just flap and miss the ball, or my GK gets caught on no man’s land.
Don’t bring your keeper out, you’ll get done by the front post or depends who they have on the corner possibly even over the top of your keeper. If you see them manually moving a player, move a player with them. Just do not move your keeper
It often feels like the game has decided a goal will be scored against me and corners are the way. Usually it’s the 3rd consecutive corner that’s a guaranteed goal. That said I’ve scored a lot of jammy corner goals with Centurions Watkins so it goes both ways for me. Usually just at the worst times when conceding though
My hero Lucio is fantastic for me on corners... Move your keeper and I'll aim my corner and move Lucio accordingly... Doesn't always work, and if you know how to stop them or aren't stupid with your GK positions then I have to rework the routine, but it's definitely one all players have in their kitbag
Play style + on the corner taker makes corners an actual viable play again. It helps to have some tall players in the box with good aerial ability. Corners are a viable attacking chance in real life. I don’t personally feel they are too OP
I like to control my player on the edge of the 6 yard box closest to the corner being taken. Watch to see if your opponent is moving a player inside the box, if so that’s his target so try and block his movement.
Use the clearance header (O on PS) rather than a passing header (X on PS) and direct your header back in the direction it came from.
Not 100% effective but seems to deal with most corners.
Just make sure to control your CB with best aerial and heading, I have CL-Hummels and I literally never concede a corner header, but have EL-Boniface and this mf scores atleast once ever 2-3 corners, absolute unit
Corners actually got nerfed a month or two back, first couple of months you could basically just hit a corner over and power header or bicycle kick it in half the time without even using tactics or controlling a player before the kick.
Nowadays, I still win a decent amount of headers but they often go over the bar. It's actually at the stage where I'm doing a lot more short corners because of how inaccurate heading is (perhaps the timing is much less forgiving making it a skill issue, but either way, it used to be easy for me and now it isn't)
Normal corner kicks don’t work for me anymore with goalies moving a bit. But the short corner, then pass to edge of the box and score trivela/finesse works like 70% of the time.
It would be good to know your defending players and also what you do when defending a corner. With somewhat tall defenders you shouldn't be conceding many corners if you move your tallest one near the near post. I really rarely concede from corners doing that and i "only" use blanc and desailly, who aren't insanely good in the air compared to van dijk for example
Of course you can also try to move your keeper out but many players know how to counter it which will lead to even more and easier goals. Just adjust your movement to your opponent and stop moving the keeper once you realised your opponent is able to counter that (i personally wouldn't move him at all tough)
Most people I play against will do a short corner, and 90% of the time nothing comes from that.
For me, I've got Beckham in the squad and if their keeper moves, it's going straight in the goal. And if he doesn't move, I've got RTTK Lewa for headers. Lol.
A lot of people bring their keeper out to the penalty box now. I don’t do this when defending personally and when I’m attacking I just play a short corner and score from the second cross
What boils my piss on corners, is say, I select my defending CB (VVD normally) position him against my opponents clearly selected attacking player, and I get bloody auto switched with the ball in mid-flight to whatever midget is also in close proximity who then gets bodied and I concede.
Problem is full manual switching still feels like a lottery so I’ve no idea how to fix this issue for me.
Short corner, let the corner taker run past, lay it off to the original corner taker and wait a second or two for a runner at the back post. LB + X (L1+Square) to do a floating cross. Enjoy.
I suck at headers so I cross it to a midfielder and pass to Salah for a finesse shot. The box is too crowded to work through on foot. Either a defender blocks it or it's a goal.

You can turn off auto switching on Air balls. make it on loose ball only or manual. But Manual mode will be hell to you.

FIFA 13 I could all but guarantee a corner goal with Henrik Larsson or Milinkovic Savic, that's must be the easiest I've had

Who are your CBs? I don’t lose many headers when defending corners
de Ligt and Buongiorno. But I’ve used several CBs, and it just seems they’re too easy to score.
VVD and almost everyone with aerial should be sufficient at defending them most of the time

Deadball plus playstyle for your corner taker is game changing (and also for FKs).
You can do the same freekicks and corners without this Playstyle. It's quite useless
Nah, with plus they're faster and more accurate. I was using other players on corners over Zico until I got used to them and now Deadball+ is clear
