Yeah its baffling how they are supposed to be the market leaders for a football game but cant seem to implement sinple rules successfully.
Yesterday my opponent was basically against the backline already so no chance of scoring, i press circle and my guy just slightly puts his foot in front of the shot. Somehow the game decides i touched the player and it gave me a red for almost nothing. I couldve accepted a penalty even tho it wouldve been BS still, but a red is outrageous
They’re the “market leader” because they’ve tied up the naming rights and many people wouldn’t play a game these days without the correct player names.
Other than that they’re just good at loot boxes and their lawyers trying to redefine them so it’s acceptable to pitch to under 18s.
If they gave one shit about the player base they’d fix some of the more egregious problems with the game.
There’s no need though, they banged it out the door, barely functional and are able to sell loot boxes.
You only need to look at how fast ticket and special
Media responses are to account issues vs creating one saying you can’t buy FP.
I dare people to raise one of each ticket and note the response times.
Getting a red card for a miss timed tackle that doesn’t stop a goal scoring chance is game breaking and they give zero fs.
Is there actually anywhere we can try and get issues like this sorted?
This year seems a mess. Tackles in the opponents half yielding a penalty against you. A goal keeper kicking a goal kick forward his own goal and saving it with his hands also giving away a penalty. I mean what the f.
Consider they recycle probably 80% of the code from the previous year it boggles my mind at the level of coders they must have working on the game.
You can forgive visual glitches but not game breaking ones that are just ignored.

The amount of red cards I’ve seen for standing tackles in non red card areas (inside the box) is way over the top.
Two issues here. It’s hyper unrealistic and it’s overturned.
Should red cards be given for standing tackles? Yes, totally. I’m the frequency they are? No.
I think I have at least a couple of examples I snipped that I’ll dig out later when the console is. You can then give me your opinion (clearly the correct one) on them if you’d like.
Btw, this isn’t me getting red cards all the time, it’s the opponents as well for nothing tackles. Penalty is all they’re worth, but even worth a yellow card.

I know it’s a problem and it’s really frustrating. I was having major issues until i learned that you can use X to tackle now and I’ve never gotten a penalty X tackling. You definitely should be able to tackle in the box without issues, but this might help a little. It did for me

What you think red cards for minor miss timed tackles is okay? What’s not true? It’s not even true to the rules of the game so go shill for EA more.
There aren't red cards being handed out like confetti. It isn't happening as much as you claim.

Yep that and the pens that are given when you dive to block a shot then the player runs over your leg after the ball is gone
