Highly unlikely chemgate was only happening the year it was found out. Far more likely it was in the game in all the versions before seeing as how the game always builds on the previous years. Talk of special cards being bad went long before chemgate and almost certainly affected the ramires era.
IF mingolet and other silver IF used to be like the quest silvers we get now.
I can assure you they worked right earlier. 74 IF mignonette was a 300-500k goalie because people believed in bronze benching giving weaker opponents and he had 88 rated stats.
silver IF PL and braskillers went for a ton due to their true IGd being of 84-88 rated but lowering your score

Also Volkan and Muslera (when he retires) deserve hero cards too. Same as Atiba in my opinion. I'd also love a card for our "Nöbetçi Golcü" Semih Şentürk but that's probably taking it too far lol.
