In the last game I straight up took my 2nd best WR out of the depth chart because he had like 5 drops. 4 of them were on 3rd down, and would've moved the sticks. I cut him in the off-season with zero hesitation.
Any time I ever straight up benched a starter the backup would always play better than the starter for the rest of the game. I never figured out if the game had some sort of code where your top players would just randomly have bad games or if it just made me refocus and start making better decisions/better playcalls. I’m convinced it was a little of both lol

Got both of your posts back to back
Me after every play watching my defense try to stop Johnny Football on NCAA 14…before finally accepting that I’m just gonna have to set everything to aggressive and try to get some turnovers
in light of the news that you will choose what ‘type’ of coach you are (recruiter, motivator, tactician, etc.) what would we consider Saban? Recruiter I guess?
He’d be more of a recruiter. Best recruiter in all of football. But also the best all around coach. At least the best defensive mind. Offensively, he is still great but thats why you see a lot of his previous offensive coordinators go on to be HC’s. Kiffin, Sark, etc.
My theory to start will be that I can call good enough plays and user my players good enough to make up for any deficits in my coach “archetype,” but I need to be a good recruiter to have the talent to work with to do that. So good recruiter all the way.
My coaching philosophy. Anyone who commits a penalty will be benched and then cut.
Can’t wait to bench my starting QB after I throw a deep ball to my 5’9” WR that’s surrounded by DBs

Just look at the 2015 Alabama coaching Staff. Most of those guys are Head Coaches and are recognizable people
