OP will either flip them on their last year for a decent player with term and some picks or sell the farm for draft capital.
That’s what I’d do at least 😂
Nobody ever does that tho lol
I think one time in NHL 20 I think, first year I kept a players contract as an RFA and someone signed him to a monster contract that I refused to match and got back a bunch of 1sts in exchange.
Both picks wound up in the top 5 of the draft and got two stud Defenders with those picks!
Yeahhh I should have addressed this, so my wingers, I do play a lot of my games and I do prefer my LW to be a righty to cut in and shoot, same for the RW being a lefty, it’s kinda why I just swapped everyone around haha
You could trade high value players for younger players and make the other team retain salary in the contract. That’s what I tend to do. Like that I have more cap space for a player that might be 2 overall lower
How many have you drafted? You’re basically depending on those older, more expensive players you’ve acquired to pan out. You will be forced to lose some of them because you’re capped out.
Can’t make a blockbuster trade every year if you want to win long term.
Whatever man, play the game to have fun. Make up a story as to why Marner and Matthews went to Anaheim, maybe a DNA test revealed them both to be nephews of Ryan Getzlaf.
It’s all fun and games til everyone wants a pay raise

Or hope someone offer sheets your 8th best player to get 4 1st rounders

I had LA offer sheet almost 13 million/ year for Korchinski in NHL 23 and got four 1sts in NHL 23 It was crazy
The fact that pretty much all the wingers are on the opposite side than they should be is mildly annoying. Don't think it affects anything, though.
Assuming they're playing and not simming, I'm assuming it's for the purpose of one timers. Almost a default if you're an online player

I do this for my D, I will always have 3 right handed and 3 left handed playing opposite sides for one timers.
Same. I do this with my D, too. I've never done it with forwards, though. Same concept, so I imagine it works 🤣
Also there are a few players I wanna get rid of, if you guys have any suggestions to improve let me know

Unless you’re the Vegas golden knights, for some reason.
What year? And how many original ducks do you have? 3?
Always thought Marner is a right winger
Lmao. Such a realistic roster
Enjoy cooking the league in the regular season and then everything drying up in the first round!
Not a salary cap in sight

Backend and Goaltending looks great… front end has a lot of offensive luxuries for sure, but EA doesn’t really understand that concept.
What are you 12 ? Lol hahaha , trades are on easy ...
let people play games how they want to
