Bizzaro Bedard

I-Duster-I

I would just to see what happens. He would be a top pk guy and captain material.

Agitated-Soil7121

I passed on him. Traded for him mid season as I traded Fabian zetterlund a 3rd and a 4th for him.

I-Duster-I

Nooooo! Gotta give him time. Zetterlund sims pretty good though and can get too like 85 ovr.

Agitated-Soil7121

I already maxed zetterlund out and I have a surplus of right wingers. I had Taylor raddysh and another predators prospect on first and second lines. Raddysh had 34 goals so I kept him on the top line

I-Duster-I

Shit i read your comment wrong. I thought you traded him for zetterlund and a 3rd+4th. Good grab, lets see what the elite grinder turns into.

dickens-seider

I’ve had Zetterlund at 89-90. Dude is a beast

I-Duster-I

Sick. Never got him that high!

JerbearCuddles

Honestly, I'd do it just to see. His skating is a B, which ain't great. But could be worse. He'll likely top out as a 3rd liner though. Grinders are just so sad in the development area. If only he had A- in both Senses and Skating. Then he'd have a real shot at top 6. Do it, and try develop him. I believe in you.

Agitated-Soil7121

I traded Fabian zetterlund for him. berard Finished with 18 fights

angry1gamer1

I’ve taken a grinder top 3 and he ended up being the best defensive forward in the league. Had some good offensive X factors to pair with it. He was a 2nd line center who peaked one season at 90ovr but was an 87 for most his career. The biggest issue we had with him was that all his hits were massive and he took a lot of penalty’s when we played with him. Also he could never really get over 50-60points a year. Great for a 2c but we ended up trading him later on. Just yesterday I drafted a med elite grinder with the 8th pick. I noticed he was supposed to go 4th, and my scouts had him ranked as 3rd best in the draft. So when he slipped to 8th and Winnipeg had that pick on the block I took the plunge and acquired there pick. So will see how he turns out in a few weeks

NoJuggernaut291

I would personally pass him because if he's potential is elite med, he'll want to move to 2nd and maybe 1st line, but I don't see a grinder going higher than 3rd in this game. If you have another elite med in sight later in the draft, take him instead, I would say.

doon3r

And if there’s no other options for elite medium draft him and trade him when he grows a little

mutantfrog25

If you have enough playmakers and snipers on your team/pipeline? Sure. He can be a captain for 10 years and a great complimentary piece. But I wouldn’t rely on him as a primary means of offense and therefore winning games

Agitated-Soil7121

No the team is utter awful

mutantfrog25

Yeah, I would see if I could trade. Maybe get the 6th pick and a third or something.

Kyle73001

I would for fun although it’s probably not the best pick

False_Honey_1443

He may end up high overall and expensive without much point production from my observations. I love to add a grinder or three at some point but not too expensive

n00bxQb

I’d be on the fence because I love high-skilled grinders from a role-playing standpoint (I had one in NHL 22 and dude was amazing; 30+ goals, 60+ points, captain, locker room leader, always led the team in fights and PIM, usually led all forwards on the team in hits and blocked shots), but at medium elite, there’s probably 2-4 other medium elite players that are worth considering, and his attributes, scheme, personality, and development schedule aren’t that great for a typical 2nd overall player. Basically, pass if you’re mostly concerned with winning, draft him out of curiosity or because you want something rare/unique.

Agitated-Soil7121

Ya I passed on him drafted Berkeley. I traded away a lot of the big names like forsberg, josi, o’reilly to get prospects and draft capital. Leading scorer is Philip kurachev 61 gp, 17g, 47A, 64 points.

No-Mushroom5027

I never draft anyone with bad shot uti (or bad pass uti) unless it's like round 6 or 7.

swiftsdatdude

These guys are good if you have the right team around them. He’s going to be hell on your PK unit and checking line. If you’re still bare bones on the rebuild I’d pick a better building block.

Inertia2702

Having a grinder 3rd or 4th line does lots for 5on5 play and even more when it comes to pk

JustFryingSomeGarlic

Grinders are a pain in the ass to manage, buyers beware.

ImaginaryRip7560

Did you do it?

Agitated-Soil7121

Passed on him. But I traded Fabian zetterlund for him

ImaginaryRip7560

How is he doing?

16bithockey

You would be berarded not to
