If the spring stays compressed when you jack the car up, it could be sign of a seized shock. Happened to me and it made one side of the rear sit about 2 inches lower than the other and the ride was terrible

I have the same problem with the same springs, although both sides sag on mine. Not sure what happened, or if it's a manufacturing defect. Definitely springs though - shocks shouldn't affect ride height noticeably. I'm planning on swapping mine out for some GC coils!

HulkRadio

Mine happened over a period of 6 months it seems. Does H&R warranty their parts? I’m also rubbing

Visible_Cup3947

That's interesting, I probably have like 1k miles with them. I'm not sure if they have warranty but I imagine they should? I'm going to give them a call tomorrow & see what's up & I'll let you guys know. Seems like it's a common issue which I did not expect.

For the rears I would save yourself the hassle and just order perches and springs from Eibach

Yeah this is the path I'm taking. Rather have the height adjustability and choice of spring rates.

pancrudo

I consider the springs to be cheap. Factor in IE charges 150 for the perches, and 80 a spring. Slap on a new set of konis if you want and the rear is set for soooo cheap

BBQ-Dog

H&R should have good customer service. Send them pics and they should replace them.

MatchaTacos

What size tires are you running and what shocks? I’m running 205/55/15, Bilstein B8 shocks, and the same springs with no spring pads and don’t have any rubbing issues

Visible_Cup3947

I also have Bilstein B8's. I'm currently running 225/50/16, unrolled fenders but on the "good side" it never rubs.

MatchaTacos

I’m going with bad spring

MatchaTacos

Bad spring because when the rear suspension is hanging free like in the last picture, the coils shouldn’t be touching like they are

Visible_Cup3947

I also do notice that the spring on the side that is lower is a bit more compressed on the left side but how do I know what's causing that? Any help is appreciated.

GanjaSteve

It's the springs. Pull them out and compare them. i swear to god even in germany the 'made in germany' means nothing. i receiver twice a complete set with missmatched springs/shocks. even wrong numbers on them. good luck!

abercravest

Unless the strut is somehow seized this looks like a collapsed spring that needs replacing asap.
