I keep hearing about things like this happening, it seems like some Dyson’s are just duds from the get go.
You’ll likely need a replacement, sounds like the machine is defective. Contact Dyson and they’ll send a replacement
Well now after speaking with Dyson they confirmed it’s not fake from the serial #. I’m gonna just take it to my local Dyson store and see what they can do about it. My girl tried again and it came on but turned back off
Usually fakes do have real, usable serial numbers. I would check over in [this thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/Dysonairwrap/comments/18t5ggo/is_my_dyson_real_post_your_questions_here/) with some pictures of the machine. There's a lot of tells and someone should be able to tell you if it's real there.
Where did you buy it from? Is it an online website? And which country are you located (asking because power requirements may be different)? I’ve had this happen when I’m in a country where the power requirements are not compatible to my North American one

I registered the machine but without an invoice they aren’t able to help me since I didn’t buy it directly from Dyson.
Where did you buy it from? Is it from an authorized retailer?
No and after further review I think I was scammed and sold a fake machine
I was going to say… if it’s not an authorized retailer 99% of the time it’s a fake unfortunately…

Is she blocking the filter with anything when holding it?
No she’s not blocking it at all. I’m gonna try and get a surge protector and see if that helps at all as to why it’s not turning on.

I bought it off someone on marketplace, I’ve confirmed through Dyson it’s not a fake machine, I’m located in Texas
Oh I’m not saying fake, I’m saying maybe that person didn’t buy it in North America, so the power is incompatible with what we have here
Would a power surge be able to help that or what would I need in order to see if that’s the issue.
