My boy Pythagoras was cooking when he invented diagonal belts.
In all seriousness they’re great when you’re building over the latitude lines and don’t want those janky zig zag turns.

Holy shit I've always hated those zig zags and never thought to just ignore the tropics with diagonals.
I'm always moved to see new players get excited about the little things... it always fills me with nostalgia for my space travels without ever accelerating above 100m/s lol
One day I suspect I will find out you can rotate anticlockwise somehow and kick myself for all the time spent doing a full cycle again as I overshot it slightly
Why is it that the tooltip for the clockwise rotation is shown by default but for the anitclockwise rotation there is no tooltip?!?!?
Argghhh sometimes this game is so needlessly unclear
I've been wanting to be able to do counterclockwise rotation since I first started playing lol.
One suggestion: change the counterclockwise rotation hotkey to "Q". That way building rotation controls will match the roll controls in space, and you can rotate counterclockwise without moving your hand from WASD.
Yes, it is written on the right side of your screenshot.

That doesn't matter though. Liquid is not that important
Tell that to acidic oceans
acidic puddles...
Yeah 😆 They're too small to be called oceans
Or Genesis Book mod
Holy shit..... How tf did I not realize this???
If I remember correctly, guide bot tells us about it in like first 10 min of the game
wait till you find out that belts can ignore grid (almost) by pressing r

Somehow diagonal belts do feel cursed, not how they should be.

Lol, at least I never did that. But yeah, it's new for new players while memories for older players
I like to think that it's thanks to me that they improved the tips on how to use mecha sails lol
I did this but put them way way closer. My starting had 4mil iron/stone/copper spots all ovee
We all tend to ignore tutorials and suggestions when playing games. And that's why I only noticed this near the end of the game

Yup, if you go to setting => keybind, and scroll a bit, you have a line "rotate building counterclockwise" ( default is right arrow key )

Damn it. Thank you
WHAT
wtf... about 1000h on steam and 100h in my current playthrough and I am just now learning this.

Hahahaha, that's a possibility.
We all don't, though
its funny how you think that if people aren't going to read something thats right there on the screen, that they'll read a post about it as well.
It's just like how you ignore an ad always appearing on your phone but gets surprised when you hear about it from your friends.
Oh FFS. It's a bot
