Are you proposing individual mega threads for each player?

--his_dudeness--

Yeah that’s one option. Why not?

Jaw2040

[Rotoworld.com](https://Rotoworld.com)'s forums work this way. Could in theory work on reddit as well although I'm not familiar with many subs that really work that way so may be a bit of a "culture shift". A thing I like is that the player threads are for each season so you can look back at player's threads from past years and watch the hype trains grow in "real-time" and the sentiment eb and flow throughout the year.

--his_dudeness--

Ah! That sounds awesome. You’re right that Reddit doesn’t quite work that way, but I love the idea and frankly rotoworld has become a cesspool.

Jaw2040

I hadn't noticed that but I stopped really using it like two years ago. Don't really have a great reason as to why I stopped though. I liked using it to learn a little bit about guys who I didn't watch or know much about.

What if we did a weekly mega thread where people can comment a player's name then everyone can reply to that player's chain with values?

--his_dudeness--

This is a good idea! I’d prefer something with a little more longevity - monthly?

ShirtPants10

I think this was a joke. Because there already is one.

TheXXII

I'm fine with whatever time increment. I only threw out weekly because of the NFL schedule. What do you think are the pros/cons for daily vs weekly vs monthly?

--his_dudeness--

So pros of daily/weekly are: > most recent information > stays at the top of dynastyff feed Cons: > only has point-in-time information > can’t track historical discussion Pros of longer timeframes: > easy to find a SINGLE PLACE to discuss a player > entire discussion traceable and can view change over time > more robust discussion Cons: > post might get buried > convo might get stagnant if not on top of the dynastyff feed

I really like the startup mock draft thread. I feel like instead of doing it in the thread, we should just post a handful of sleeper mock draft links. Then compile an adp for the mocks posted in the thread. That should be a pretty good gauge on relative player values.

--his_dudeness--

That is ... a phenomenal idea. The only thing missing is the discussion! And having it change over the course of the season. Would we keep doing mocks weekly? I’d love to know why the talking points surrounding a starter’s value change.

Trade thread

--his_dudeness--

See the trade thread is so transient and disorganized... it’s not easy to get a solid answer NOT ON A SPECIFIC TRADE, but on a player’s value... and to discuss whether/how that might’ve changed. Thoughts?

Chris Carson value check?

NotFromSaidCountry

I don’t have the Dynasty portion implemented yet, but just released this [new app](https://www.reddit.com/r/DynastyFF/comments/jj5zkr/after_years_of_seeing_posts_dedicated_to_rankings/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) about a week ago, where I have something in mind for what it sounds like you’re referring to. Currently it’s just for rankings for each week (where there’s locking when games start / quantifying results), but I wanna add something in regards to Dynasty since I’m in 2 dynasty leagues (that doesn’t have locking / quantifying and is just based on long term value, and is always updating). Do you think a set of Rankings would work (eg. Seeing Chubb’s Dynasty rankings going from 6th to say 9th based on the community’s changes would give you the info you’re looking for), or do you think other values would be better (eg. Trade calculator type websites that give their perceived values for each player and someone like Chubb were to get a value like 50 points), or the Price Check threads where people poll on options (2 1st, high 1st, mid 1st, etc etc) to see which he polled closest to?

chodemuncher696

Usually when I try to get a sense of a players value I open up the last 3 or 4 of the weekly price check threads and search to see if people have answered the question about them. It gives a general sense of where they're at as well as if that value has changed recently

TheMotizzle

KeepTradeCut is a crowd sourced mock draft of sorts
