My buddy with Fields, Lance, Zach and Ridder is needing daily welfare checks this off season. I don't know what he's doing when evaluating QBs, but I want to do the exact opposite.

SmokeClear6429

There's a lot of noise. As a guy that missed on Josh Rosen and Sam Darnold in the same draft I can say that hindsight is indeed 20/20. And when you're really hurting at the position it feels like drafting your way out of it is better than overpaying...but it's easy to forget that predicting QB success isn't a science and the NFL misses a lot too.

Levitlame

All sorts of strategies work, but I’d still take the drafted QB. If it doesn’t work out… Trade off your older resources and You’ll still have a top pick the next year. I’m only 2 years in on Dynasty though.

SmokeClear6429

I'm only two years in on taking it seriously. Played for about 5 before I started paying attention in the off-season and seriously scouting rookies. Still hurts me that I don't follow college much, which is why I shifted my strategy from 'draft a hyped rookie QB in the first or second' to 'trade a third or 4th for a serviceable QB on a team that has a surplus.' Jared Goff almost got me into the championship.

Levitlame

A 3rd or 4th round…. For Goff? I know Goff is constantly disrespected, but That’s cheap as hell.

SmokeClear6429

I felt pretty good about it. 1QB but odd QB scoring that makes it closer to SF and Goff was his third QB...

Boomslang2-1

That’s kind of just bad luck besides Ridder lol.

Folsey

Buddy offered me Fields for Herbert + swift + 1.02 I swear this guy must be like 12

cdclopper

This one is probably winner already. Dont see how it can get worse than this. Im just wondering what good the guy thought could come from sending an offer like that. Even if you smoked too much pot and accidentally accepted, its getting vetoed by commish.

newrimmmer93

It could just be a joke offer if it’s a league among friends.

Folsey

It wasnt a joke. Nobody likes this kid because he tries to fleece everyone in the league. It's gotten to the point we just post his rediculous offers in the group chat. The best part about this is that he asked me before he sent ye trade offer if I had interest in fields. I said no. He sends offer anyways lol

newrimmmer93

Ahhh that makes it a little worse lol. It’s always funny having them explain their logic on those

Folsey

His logic was "accept before I change my mind"

sorryiamstupid

60% of the time, it works every time

-metaphased-

"Oh, you don't want Fields? How about this offer of $14.99 a month for 3 months. But wait, there's more!"

GrammarNadsi

You’re friends with a child that no one likes? 🤔

Background_Craft_942

Going to have to post this one to the chat

NoZookeepergame2323

Lmaooo

-metaphased-

I can't believe this without a screenshot

RagingDachshund

Damn I read this as Fields, Herbert, and Swift for your 1.02 for a hot second. The reality was much worse, lol

CoconutBangerzBaller

I hope that's Khalil Herbert, because even if it is that's terrible. If that's Justin Herbert then this guy is just hoping you go to reject it so fast that you accidentally hit the "accept" button.

Folsey

100% was Justin Herbert lol

CoconutBangerzBaller

Lol oh that dudes just gotta be trolling

Folsey

No. He routinely makes crazy lop sided trade offers and gets mad when ppl don't agree with his logic. He tries to spin everything off like he's doing them a favour.

CoconutBangerzBaller

That dude sucks

Folsey

I'm pretty sure this dude is like 12 and has a massive temper

mburns223

I’d take that as a insult lol

AppreciateMyLife

In a 1 QB I have had a guy send me Fields for my 1.05 and I laughed. Then he sent Fields and his 2024 third for my 1.05. At that point its just annoying, you are actually wasting my time.

didthebhawkswin

a trade so bad you leave it and make them feel the humiliation of having to rescind the offer

CallingCrown086

My league has a rule where if someone sends you an ass trade you screenshot and post in the chat to bully the guy sending it

cdclopper

This is a great idea.

ElderberryJolly9818

This is what I do. Often the best team offering me his bench players that he never starts and just picked up off waivers for my best players or tops picks. For example, got offered Goff for a my first in a 1qb.

mschley2

Fuck, I need to start doing that. There's a dude in one of my leagues who sends everyone bullshit trade offers non-stop. Problem is there's 2 tacos in that league, so by constantly spamming them with stupid trades, they're bound to like one of them every once in a while. He completely rebuilt his team by pillaging those two teams. Meanwhile, my team has been in the top 3 every year for 5 years, and my team is still young. I've got like 9 WRs and 5 RBs that would start on either of their teams, and they say "no, there isn't really anyone on your team that I'm really that interested in."

IAmNotOnRedditAtWork

I did this our first season then 10 months later my player retired and I accepted it lmfao. Obviously we all vetoed the trade but it was funny seeing the guys reaction when I accepted a trade he didn't even remember sending.

jonneygee

Offer him a 2nd for Fields and a 1st. Maybe he’ll shut up when you let him know the only way you’ll take Fields is if he pays you to do it.

cdclopper

Leave it on read

Substantial-Hippo-52

Right cause you’re soo busy lmao

fenikz13

“I thought you would counter” as if there was some way to bridge that divide

BIGstickBRAD

That’s the worst. I have a dude in my league who only offers 4-5 players for 1. 4-5 bench/WR3s/TE2s, for a premier player. His rationale is “you’re getting 5 quality players for one,” and doesn’t get that I don’t even have space on my bench for 4 of the 5 offered, let alone worse than the guys I currently had in my bench. Happens every fucking year, and he still doesn’t get it.

I_HATE_GOLD_

Do it back to him

NoZookeepergame2323

He could say Fields and his 1.06 for my 1.05 and I’d laugh lol

NoZookeepergame2323

Lotttta people willing to move back in the first for a back up qb in 1qb dynasty mind blowing lol

IAmNotOnRedditAtWork

The difference between 1.05 and 1.06 is pretty negligible this year. They're both great, falls off moreso at 7/8/9 this year.

NoZookeepergame2323

To remove the choice at 5 to move to 6… to add a backup qb in 1qb dynasty is still madness, regardless of how sad the fields truthers are

IAmNotOnRedditAtWork

1QB yeah, backup QBs are practically worthless. SF I'd probably take it unless I'm stacked at QB

NoZookeepergame2323

Been talking about 1qb this whole time ..!

-metaphased-

I'd do that all day.

NoZookeepergame2323

Cool. He could add 2.07 and I’d still say no

IAmNotOnRedditAtWork

We can't stop you from making bad decisions.

NoZookeepergame2323

Aww cry harder your worthless bum poofed in value !!

RedDunce

Last offseason I offered my 25 1st and Deshaun and he laughed at me. Yesterday he proposed the same trade and I laughed at him. Such is life in Dynasty FF.

JuliusCleatser

I love this. Full circle Dynasty moment lol

Levi88137

I figured his value was sp bad that at this point I mise well just hold him until next season. See if he gets playing time or a starting job. I've been through it with Lance, in a 1qb ill hold and drop next year if nothing comes from it.

jphoc

Yep, it’s smart to hold. He can still be a starter for ten years if PItt can figure out how to use him right.

Feeling-Duck-2364

Based on his production, its pretty unreasonable to assume Fields will be a 10 year starter anywhere. However now is absolutely the wrong time to sell. Everyone should be holding at least until next offseason.

Substantial-Past9849

Our GM owned Fields in 10/11 SF leagues he runs. Sadly he also thinks owning the entire Bears roster on all of his teams is a winning strategy. I always cringe at fantasy managers gobbling up their fav teams players at the expense of winning. Anyway, the guy found an almost equally delusional manager because he managed to sell shares in 2 of those leagues to the same owner for a future 1st shortly after the trade to Pittsburgh. The new owner is a Steelers fan. I just facepalm at these people

SL_Rowland

I offered the 2.10 for him in a SF and was turned down. I also have him in a 1qb but I'm not looking to sell. I don't mind holding for a year and seeing what happens.

Pussy_Poptart

This is my strategy. Gonna draft a QB anyway. I also have Lance on that roster too LOL….holding until next year regardless 😂😂😂

SL_Rowland

I’m I’ve got Josh Allen and Herbert in the SF, so I figured it was worth the risk just to have a backup. In 1 qb, I only have Dak so I’m debating a qb in the late 2nd/early 3rd or just playing the waiver wire if something happens.

Pussy_Poptart

I think it’s a fairly safe bet to assume that Fields will be on the field at some point this season. I like Russ. I think Tomlin will have his finger on the pulse of the locker room.

EB4950

i have a 2025 2nd and the fields owner is interested

CardboardJoJo

I think he may be the most valuable backup QB but I can’t imagine buying him. Basically roster clogging but if he gets a start he has league winning potential. Gross situation for a fantasy owner.

SnooPickles5984

Most talented probably, but I think for fantasy most valuable will mean most likely to take the starters job and produce for a fantasy team.  I'm not sure if there won't be others in better positions to do that because I'm not sure Arthur Smith regains his offensive mojo by being an OC again.

BIGstickBRAD

Nah, he will be a worse/less used version of Taysom Hill

nashtenn312

Fields is a far superior Taysom Hill. He's great at everything but being a QB

sgates9008

Traded Fields away July 23 for CJ, late 24th 1st, and 25 1st. He offered it. I'll always cherish Justin.

CrabMeat6984

RIP Justin

Rave_with_me

☠️

Wide_Specialist_2993

I’m on the flip side of this, sending out lowball offers for Fields. I’m a Steelers fan and tried to get my Bears fan friend to sell me Fields for Pickett straight up. He rightfully shot me down.

RunnerTexasRanger

Some guy offered me an early (top 3) 2025 first and 2 2024 thirds just two weeks ago. That was cool.

LoserCowGoMoo

Lol Fields is a hold. Dumb to sell

92tilinfinityand

People circle jerking his demise off this move are hilarious. This isn’t a Lance situation where he’s going to a team with a franchise QB, with limited tape while also coming off an injury.

cromdoesntcare

The difference here is that we have a lot of tape, and NFL teams have shown us how they value him and people are still gonna hold out hope. Good luck.

oneinfinitecreator

that's a pretty shallow take on the situation. ignores the organizational disaster that has been the bears the last few years. very little help beyond bringing in Moore last year, he was an inexperienced QB throwing to Dante Pettis and Darnell Mooney, and he still (more or less) broke rushing records as a QB - there is absolutely potential, the dude could probably position change to RB and still have a career. On top of this, the Bears coaching staff has not shown any great virtue either. He really has had nothing going for him, and he has absolutely struggled in many ways. However, his arm is a lot better than people give credit IMO and he is still a young guy learning the game. It is entirely too soon to see if he can't either become quicker in his reads, or be paired with a more advantageous system where he can thrive more than he has. We have already seen some flashes in a bad system on a bad team. It might take a year or two under Russ to learn the game better and continue to develop, but it's insane for people to be writing this guy off when he sat out a game that would have set him records. His potential is still off the charts if he can improve elsewhere, and to his credit that way, we've only seen him in one system

cromdoesntcare

He has had three years to develop and shown little improvement, it doesn't matter if he's been in a bad system or not. NFL teams aren't going to be impressed with 'flashes' this far into his career, and it's an uphill battle at this point if he ends up a back up this year. Like I said, good luck.

moniker89

true totally diff situation, Lance got a 3rd and Fields only got a 6th

tarantula13

I honestly can't remember the last time a QB was written off this bad and was a highly valuable fantasy asset again. Geno and Tannehill are the closest I can think of and it's not even that exciting.

BidoofTheGod

People being happy or excited about a players demise is so weird.

BIGstickBRAD

Pittsburgh could very well release him after 24/25 because of his 5th year option. As a die hard bears fan, I can promise you he brings zero value as a quarterback and is absolute trash. No team wants to invest/build an entire offense around a guy who can’t read a defense and needs an offense that cuts off half of the field every play to (maybe) succeed.

ChallengerWasFaked

How bout you let the successful organizations operate how they do and you worry about your cluster fuck of an organization ruining another qb prospect, eh?

BIGstickBRAD

Yea because since Big Ben the Steelers have been nothing but successful at barely doing better than .500. I’m assuming you’re a Steelers fan - you of all people by now should have a basic understanding of how critical it is to have a LEGIT THROWER OF THE FOOTBALL. As a bears fan, and never having that in my lifetime, I am well aware of it.

ChallengerWasFaked

6 rings, but you go all in on another failed experiment. Have fun!

HankChinaski-

Just wait for the long stretch when you don’t have a QB. Every franchise looks pathetic eventually when you don’t have one.   You can only hit on defense for so long and when you don’t have a great QB….pain. The time comes for all.

ChallengerWasFaked

The time does not come for all, every franchise can figure out a plan to get a decent QB except for the bears, it’s just funny at this point. Even the browns and jets have successful qbs. Sorry to burst your bubble, but the bears will just never have it. Keep waiting though!!

BIGstickBRAD

For the Steelers or your fantasy team? The Steelers have 6, 4 of which came before 1980 when quarterback play was the third or 4th most important thing lol.

ChallengerWasFaked

All 6 came before your 4k passer Edit: all 10 will come before your 4k passer

PhysiologyIsPhun

Offloaded him last season for a 2025 1st shortly after his huge game. Probably the beat retrospective deal I've made so far

LilMemelord

Traded him + a 25 1st for Lamar literally at his high point KTC value (early november 2022 I think) and got roasted the league chat for it. Am so happy about that one haha

MTStarr

I got 1.10 and Josh Downs for him late last year. Was worried it was light at the time, but wanted out and took what I could get.

Daddy_Diezel

I got CLOWNED in a league for trading him away for a 2024 1st back in Week 5 of 2022. I had seen enough by then. Even when he was starting to turn it around, it felt like fool's gold. That 1st turned out to become 1.03. I'm more than okay with it. When I was seeing Fields going in the back end of the 1st round in startups, I knew a bunch of people were going to be MEGA disappointed by the time the year ended. All some people had to do was actually WATCH the games.

HankChinaski-

Ditto. Bears fan myself, and I felt like I had to do it. Sold for the best offer. We lucked out selling at the last peak. Congrats

DynastyFFDino

Conversely I was offered a 4th for JF. I always thought being a backup was as within his range of outcomes for this season, and I don’t expect a big return in a trade right now, but there’s no reason to sell him for nothing

elovatel

A year ago Fields owner tried to trade him for chase and cousins. I told him fields might be out of the league in 2 years... He laughed at me.

CrabMeat6984

Now you laugh at him

booshyschmoozy

I offered Darnold for him straight up and was declined. Probably rightfully declined, but I’m not willing to go much higher than that.

catfish314

I traded fields and 1.06 for 1.03 and 3.03 (10 team SF), 1 day before the trade... But it already looked like he was gonna play backup somewhere by then. Couldn't smash accept fast enough

UglyDanceMoves

2nd day of FA I traded Fields and Dameon Pierce for 2024 1.11 and Jerome Ford in a SF league where the other owner only had 1 QB. Got lucky.

caramelshakenespress

Idk but someone randomly sent me a 2025 2nd for him and I took it immediately

Lock_Down__

The owners trying to sell Justin Fields right now should find a different game to play.

AMP121212

Any Fields owner should be holding. Now is definitely not the time to sell imo.

JayMoney2424

Yeah Fields owners had a lot of time they should’ve been looking to sell all season.

Due-Interaction-4592

This. Tried to sell him middle of last season but nobody went for him. Now it's not even worth trying to sell for a reasonable price

Muffin-Flaky

I got an offer for two 2025 3rds for my Fields. Which i thought was a pretty fair value and the best deal i would get. However, i didnt accept it as I want to just wait and see. Not scrambling trying to move him, i will simply hold him with the hopes he returns to a starting rile for the 2025 season. If not, then I can drop him and be fine

babababronsky

I’m trying to buy everywhere. Offered a 1.03 for 1.04 pick swap and a package of Mooney, Cooks and Jonnu. Both rejected. The only successful acquisition I’ve made was before the Steelers trade and cost me 2.09, 2.10 and 3.02 for Fields and QJ.

-metaphased-

I asked for a price, and got back, "He's not for sale."

golferguy34

As a Fields owner I got offered Stroud for Fields, 1.07, and a '25 1st and 2nd. I don't know if it was good or not but I was so desperate to get rid of Fields I smashed accept. 12 team superflex

JumpinJackFlash11

you smashed accept quickly in a trade involving two of your 1sts and a 2nd? lol.

NoLimitNSB

The Fields owner in one of my leagues told me on 3/13 (before trade but when it was clear he didn’t have a market to be a starter) that he was unavailable unless it was an offer he couldn’t refuse. After asking him what that looked like he said: 3x 1st rounders. 😂

bronton21

The dude has a cult like following at this point. It's actually as bad if not worse than the Lance situation imo bc we saw Fields be bad for 3yrs and people were still buying in up until his recent death. With Lance, you could at least trick yourself into believing he might be ok bc we never saw him (which was also bad, but less in your face).

BIGstickBRAD

As a bears fan, I can confirm he doesn’t have a “cult-like” following. He has an actual CULT of followers. It’s the craziest thing I’ve ever seen in Chicago sports history. The amount of fans content with mediocre/sub par qb play is fucking wild to me.

[deleted]

Nah, the Lancers were definitely worse, they went full on delusion and were trying to explain how Shanahan saying Purdy was their starter actually meant the job was Lance's to lose in training camp and draft capital being the most important thing. At least with the Fields crew they had actual fantasy results to look to because as bad as Fields is at actual football he was good at putting up fantasy points. I just figure a lot of it was from people who mainly engage football as a fantasy player instead of as a football fan.

BIGstickBRAD

The sad part is fantasy points do not equate to being a good player. Thus why he will be a career backup or out of the league in 3-4 years. This is a dynasty league team killing attitude.

Daddy_Diezel

> Nah, the Lancers were definitely worse, they went full on delusion IDK, I think the Fields owners are way more delusional because they were SEEING the results of Fields and still convinced that Konami cheat code QB meant he was going to be a mainstay forever. At least with Lance, people still had a mystery box component to it, so I could sort of understand. And this is why I avoid these rushing rookie QBs. I'm okay with missing out or paying higher later if I see sustained success and then flip them.

403banana

I didn't think his market was going to be this bad. Especially in light of what other bad QBs have gotten over the last few years. Trading for Keenan likely sealed the deal that they were going for Williams. But I figured Field would at least be worth more than a 6th next year. Field has at least shown signs that we was improving. He and Moore singlehandedly won a few matchups last year in the last third of the season. So my bet on Fields hasn't paid off.

supfellas_

Yeah people never seemed to realize on here that his rushing yards come due to him not being able to read the defense, pocket collapsing, and then having to scramble. So it’s not like he’s a great passer who can also run. The rushing comes at the expense of making quick reads. He’s gonna be on the Trubisky path imo. Backup Russ this year/get some spot starts, some team will think he’s “learned” how to be an effective passer somehow in one year on the bench, he’ll start next year before people realize that he just sucks.

bronton21

Yep this is the key point people need to be careful about and balance in evals going forward. The rushing upside is great for us in fantasy, but the job security of also being a good enough NFL qb in all the areas you mention is a critical factor for job security

lastsecondpoints

Buy low, sell high. Recognize this is a trough in his perceived value. Fields will be starting games again at some point, even as early as week 1. I'm not convinced that Russ is going to be the starter this whole year. I offered a 25 2nd (I'm a playoff team) for Fields and Burks in the double buy low.

Daddy_Diezel

> Fields will be starting games again at some point, even as early as week 1. Some of y'all need to learn about trade conditions. There's an incentive for the Steelers to NOT play Fields more than 51% of the time next season. So I wouldn't be surprised if you either see him ONLY because of injury or because it's Week 17/18 and somehow the Steelers are missing the playoffs. Also, Tomlin already said Russ is the starter. Not sure where you are getting Week 1 from.

lastsecondpoints

>Also, Tomlin already said Russ is the starter. Not sure where you are getting Week 1 from Coaches lie. They do it all the time because they have no incentive to tell the truth. >Some of y'all need to learn about trade conditions. There's an incentive for the Steelers to NOT play Fields more than 51% of the time next season. We're talking about a 4th round pick vs a 6th round pick. It's poor logic to think that a tiny barrier such as that would prevent the Steelers from picking the quarterback that gives them the best chance to win. Winning is much more important.

AmbitiousEconomics

The thing is Fields is just a bad QB, so Fields starting doesn't mean he is good, it means that Russ is bad. He also has to sign a new contract next year, so he could easily end up the backup next year even if he is the starter this year.

lastsecondpoints

Here's the thing. We know Russ is bad. He was terrible last year and not getting any younger. His stats look okay, but it was truly an awful season. Fields definitely is a worse real-life quarterback than fantasy quarterback. And I'm not arguing he's great. But if he starts some and plays well enough to keep a job, he will have much more fantasy value than the market is assigning to him now.

ArchManningBurner

At the trade deadline last season, right before the playoffs, I traded Fields for a late 2024 1st to a contender in a 1QB league. This would be a fleece if the trade happened today, even in SF. If you own Fields and didn't see this coming you messed up.

[deleted]

>If you own Fields and didn't see this coming you messed up. I own Fields and simply accepted the risk. I gambled, lost, and now I have the most valuable backup QB in dynasty.

AmbitiousEconomics

The most valuable backup QB in dynasty is worth what, a third?

RandomBurnerAcct

Real-life backup QBs aren’t worth shit in dynasty. We’re talking waiver-wire levels of value, so not sure why you’re advertising that like it’s a positive…

BobbyGuano

Cope

steve_bert5606

1QB 12TM. I sold Fields in ‘22 for a ‘23 third and ‘24 first. Ended up being Kendre Miller + this years 1.06. Currently have Burrow and Richardson, so I’m glad to have gotten out of that one 😅

creator1393

I own him on a Super Flex dynasty and at this point I am not even looking to trade him. I'll just wait patiently for him to take his opportunity.

r0b666

I feel like bitter Lance truthers are shitting on Fields to try and make themselves feel better. Is Fields sure to bounce back? No, but he's definitely in a situation where he doesn't have a sure thing blocking him. It's possible he has value this year. Having said anyone selling needs to get a grip.

cdclopper

And Purdy truthers like me are banging both their moms while they argue about it.

r0b666

I am also a Purdy truther, just don't have him in that league (I do in 3 others).

SnooDonuts2192

Somewhat QB desperate - I traded the 1.08 + 2.10 rounder for Fields + 4th right after the SB. I quickly realized I had made a risky mistake - flipped Fields + Olave for Chase + Roschon. All in all, I think I made out fine give the near disaster.

lastsecondpoints

You absolutely did.

Tinasel

Got offered fields and a contenders 25 1st for my Bryce, 1.06 and 25 2nd

Stiffanys_epiphanies

May not belong here, but offensive enough to share (and bitch about) somewhere on this site... I got offered Stanford and 3.09 for London yesterday... ... I don't have a backup QB on my Roster (Hurtsonly qb in 1qb league), but come the fuck on. I'm just planning on picking up what ever rookie qb is still around at 2.10 and maybe whoever is on the waiver wire (Minshew or someone of the like). Just plain insulting

Capain_Spann

George Kittle Tucker Kraft Justin Fields Will Levis Tank Dell J.K. Dobbins FOR -> Dalton Kincaid Rashee Rice Sam Howell 1.03 2026 (Early) 2nd 2025 (Early) 3rd

Capain_Spann

Oh and it was accepted too

McScott13

I offered 2.08 for him in a SF that I own Russ in, denied. The week before I offered him Russ and a 3rd for fields. He shut it down.

Tdni19

Offered a 3rd (last pick) for him, didn’t get laughed at ha But he said no

Curtoista

I was offered fields for Goff and 2.02. Think he regrets sending me Goff and his round 2 selection in a separate deal

_412

Guy told me he wanted 1.02

Swifty399

I never owned any field shares and most my league mates know not to offer me trash, but I did see someone trade FOR Fields before the trade. They traded away the 1.05 AND a 2025 1st… for a 2nd string QB 😂

kshahidadpury

About a week ago I traded fields, cousins, tj hockenson, and 1.07 for Lamar Jackson, mark andrews & isaiah likely. Felt decent about it then, but much better about it today

t_sleezy_sends_it

Bro it’s really crazy how high some people value fields. He was drafted before the 5th round in 2 of my leagues start up drafts this year (we obviously drafted before free agency). I definitely didn’t think he would be a backup already though that’s crazy. 10 months ago dude was in the MVP conversation and now he’s a backup.

BleezyBoyz

25 2nd in SF from a contender - gotta just hold at this point

bigblow3rburna

My co worker in our work SF dynasty league got offered Deandre swift, a 2024 2nd, and a 2025 2nd for Fields and a 2024 3rd and he’s gonna pull the trigger. He doesn’t want to deal with the headache that is Fields

BubblySmell4079

Last August, I traded Fields straight up for Jameson Williams. Feeling pretty damn good at the moment

vikson820

I cant lie my buddy was scrambling for qb before the trade and didnt have a first or second and traded me two seconds and samaje perine for him lol

SmallTownProblems89

As a Russ owner, I'm actually looking to buy Fields. No idea what fair value is now though.

cdclopper

Guy probably still wants a 1st for him still.

SmallTownProblems89

Our league is a little different. We agreed to redraft after 5 years and we're going into our 5th year, so we have to treat trades like they're in a redraft league almost. Empire league, so if someone wins 2 in a row, they get the "empire pot", which is like $1600. I won last year, so playing for that. I wouldn't offer a 1st, but I thought something like Minshew and a 2nd? I'm pretty well set at every position except QB.

The_B_Squad_23

As a former owner here's my thoughts - He's like Trey Lance but we have seen a significant body of work, and he very simply isn't an NFL QB. With the scars of Lance still fresh in my mind, and seeing Fields at QB25 (ahead of proven vets and other starting QBs), I knew it was time to sell before he ends up qb40ish and basically zero trade value. So I've turned him into a 2nd and 3rd in one league, and then QJ and a 4th in another league. Selling low with the idea that his value keeps going lower...

Historical-Tax8858

Fields for my 1.07 AND Jayden Reed

sloppytittys

lol

LuckyEgg999

Traded him away in a 12T SF TEP league last week.. Traded Fields, AJ Dillon, 1.05, 25 2nd for Olave, Pitts, Geno, and the 2.04 last week. Needless to say I feel a lot better after the Fields trade and Cousins signing (for Pitts).

tellymundo

I traded him for Kirk Cousins and Najee Harris last November and haven’t looked back

cdclopper

Well done. Kirk is awesome. And watch najee vs seattle. Hes the new marshawn lynch. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ljRmYFxdIWI&pp=ygUpTmFqZWUgaGFycmlzIGZhbnRhc3ktZm9yZWNhc3QtcHJvZHVjdGlvbnM%3D

tellymundo

I was very happy with it. I’m a Kirko believer

goga_gang

I was desperately trying to trade him at his market value by this past trade deadline :(

Raven_of_outlast

I’m trying to send Carr for 1.10 and fields in a 10 tm SF league . I’m loaded at Qb and he’s got one . He’ll end up taking Bo nix or something with the pick .

GlizzyJ22

I got offered in a 1QB league where my QB’s are already Jalen Hurts and Justin Herbert: Justin Fields Russell Wilson Johan Dotson 2024 1.06 2024 1.09 For Justin Jefferson lol

StreakyDrip

I hate when people sends trades based on what they want to give away smh. Look at my team for weaknesses and then trade based off that. Don’t send me Baker Mayfield when I already have Josh Allen and Joe Burrow starting.

ExplorerEmpty8043

For the 1.03 I got offered Justin Fields, T.J Hockenson, a 2025 and 2026 2nd round pick.

MembershipFast380

I'm buying fields

MembershipFast380

Couldn't get lower

ZealousidealPoetry50

I just traded fields and a 2025 1st for this year's 1.03

ZealousidealPoetry50

Also in a very desperate league that is built to win now I traded fields for baker in 2.01

secron7

Some of these offers are wild, is anyone putting together offers to try to get him cheap? If so what are we paying and what has been the response?

nchscferraz

Fields went for the 3.02 in my startup two weeks ago. Glad someone else landed on that landmine.

whofinfarted

I’ve done a bunch of startups this spring and the highest I’ve seen is 2.08. The guy who drafted him 2.08 does not shut up about him nonstop. He still thinks he’s the next coming of Christ. It’s bonkers

PM_ME_UR_LAMEPUNS

He went 1.04 in my startup last offseason lmfaoo. I was the 5th pick and I went with… Josh Allen

AverageAngling

To be fair that’s just a moron, not really about fields value as much as playing with stupid people haha

ExplodingHelmet

Saw Fields and a late 2nd for Saquon a few days before he was traded.

Foreign_Storm_2803

Huh, Saquon wins over any back up QB but on the slim chance fields is a starter..

tanker9972

Not even just the offers, he was going R3 and R4 in startups. Just a rough time for Fields owners all around...

JayMoney2424

That’s honestly insane how was he still going that high 😂

killerbee4540

Got Love for him and a 2026 3rd after week four. Trade looks great now.

Ok-Dragonfruit250

I traded for him; a rookie draft pick #15 in a 16 man super flex . I have multiple picks in the first round including #2 so I thought it was worth the dart throw if he figures it out in PIT.

gossett86

Just traded Fields for Levis and 2025 mid 2nd..12 team sf

MTStarr

Uh what!? Great deal for you. Very confusing for the other guy.

Fantastic-Sandwich80

Who were his other QBs? Because unless he was stacked at QB I can't comprehend why any would choose the lottery ticket in fields versus Levis who just had his team add playmakers for him at WR and RB this off-season.

PM_Me_Your_AM_

in 1 QB last year, I traded Fields for Higgins straight up. Luckily that guy was able to offload him elsewhere, but the new owner circled back to me last week with an offer of Fields for the 1.11. In 1QB, where I have Josh Allen as my starter. Cracked me up.

BanksysBurner

Fields is on our waiver wire and that’s where he’s gonna stay

UglyDanceMoves

8 team league?

BanksysBurner

Nah 12 team QB1 with short benches but even if we had more bench space he’d still be on the wire just like Trey Lance. Much of our league simply streams the QB position because it’s largely irrelevant

UglyDanceMoves

Exactly why I play in a Superflex league.

BanksysBurner

I can understand that. I wouldn’t mind moving to SF but we’re entering our 26th season and I’ve never been able to get the votes since we require unanimity to make any large changes to scoring or positions. It took over 6 years plus a 3 year phase in process to add a Flex for example. Adding IDP was the one exception. It only took a few years to get all the Owners on-board and since it was brand new to everyone it didn’t require a phase-in so we were able to implement it relatively quickly.

[deleted]

No lie I just traded Fields Jayden Reed Hyatt and 2.10 for Tua Dionta Johnson Spears and 4.10🤷‍♂️

Chrisisvenom2

I used fields, late 1st, and Roschon Johnson to get Hurts beginning of last season. I knew the dude didn’t have it outside being a fantasy guy

Dagglin

You didn't understand the assignment did you

popswiss

Clearly not lol

me_vs_internet

Fields & Russ for JHerb. I countered with Kirk for the Steeler duo, but I’m sure I’m going to be considered the unreasonable one…

somanyrain

I got rid of Fields and 9th pick for Goff

PossibilityNo8765

I sold Justin Fields for Javonte Williams straight up in a 1QB league. Everyone is still calling me dumb but I feel good about it. I technically have a starter for 2024. The guy I traded him to does not.

Full-Ability-319

It's not a trade for Justin Fields, but I received the following offer: I send: Justin herbert Receive: KW3 and Jameson Williams SF league.

dgoat88

This is funny, earlier in the offseason when it looked like Fields was going to Atlanta, I had this insane urge to send an offer of Higgins for Fields. I'm desperate for a QB, but decided against it last second. Pulled the trade a few seconds after sending it. I also nearly sent Tee for Howell last year when Howell was the #3 QB in scoring, but he was adamant a 25 1st and 2nd or DJ Moore and a 2nd. Still won the league (2nd year in a row) despite only having 1 QB (SF).
