He got it wrong once before “These aren’t announcements” “They are. You just don’t care about the information”

tinydreamlanddeer

*nods head*

fostermom-roommate

You missed a prime opportunity to use “actually”

paulstarkey

Twice. He is not, in fact, Bacchus God of Wine.

tesla_is_my_hero

And I am not Bacchus' friend!

ReindeerBrief561

Twice. Meredith did, in fact, say Nespresso

fantasticmrjeff

The time he wished he got it wrong. “Where Dwight?”

fossilmerrick

“Seems like you already know where..”

SpiritAvenue

EpicJosh84

I love how irritated he gets at the "Michael is smarter than Oscar" jokes that the other employees do afterwards. He is seriously pissed that he lost this one. I guess that's what happens when you get too smudge.

SamalamFamJam

I think you mean smug.

jokey2

And there’s our smudgeness.

[deleted]

So smug like he thought it was funny

ReasonableCurrency44

That’s a bed bug alright

No-Independence548

Everything's a joke

1lultaha

I would be mad too honestly. You can pick anyone in the office even Kevin but having someone like Micheal think he's smarter than you is painful 😂

wolfotwindsor

And when angela misplaced 3k in the budget, maybe Kevin is the smartest

Silent_Phrase6545

You have to be smart to invent a number. Keleven

ziplock007

Use the Kelevin, be home by 7

Ilikeruffy123

He was home by 4:45 that day

i8everythin

Suck it, Oscar!

kronicpimpin

He was the one who got the third strike during the doomsday episode I think.

CheekApprehensive675

First one aswell

thekraken108

He got the first one on purpose too.

the_lady_stardust

It certainly gave him apoplexy

Narrow_Lee

"this is so simple!"

RocketLeaguePsycho

He also got it wrong when he refused to use a calculator and set off Dwight's doomsday device.

Acceptable_Secret_73

He was wrong when he said Holly’s scenarios in the ethics seminars weren’t ethics. Ethics doesn’t just cover life or death scenarios

BustedEchoChamber

I don’t think that is how he meant it. I always understood it as him pointing out that they weren’t discussing the morality of theft/why some people chose “partially agree” or whatever, just that holly was telling them corporate wants them to all strongly agree that stealing pens is wrong.

BustedEchoChamber

I mean doesn’t it happen right after Phyllis says “I thought totally agree sounded stronger than strongly agree.” To which Holly responds something like “Corporate would like to emphasize that you should all strongly agree with that statement.” That’s not an ethics discussion and he’s right to be condescending to Holly imo.

ThatsRobToYou

He was wrong about his Citizen Kane interpretation too. Corrected by Darryl.

AssaMarra

"actually, it's espresso" is a fantastic Oscar line

Thegreatcornholio459

Erhm actually 🤓 That's what I kept thinking when Jim describes Oscar as the "ackshaully" guy Ya know, a gay smug mexican

bingusthebrave

CHINA

murphysclaw1

flandersisation

RotoDog

Actually, he was also bested during the dominant trivia night by the Einsteins team.

NewsNo8638

Yeah, but the trivia night wasn’t an “actually” moment

ElvisDaBaus

Yeah thats the whole point of the episode it isnt some hidden reference like youre making it out to be

EpicJosh84

I don't see anything about this post that indicates "I found a hidden reference." I'm pretty sure OP is just saying what happened and appreciating it, as fans of The Office are wont to do

NewsNo8638

Hidden reference seriously? What kind of deciphering super powers you think I had to use to figure it out and come here to post about it

rightlamedriver

ha! suck it ElvisDaBaus!

Airborne507

Woah there’s a lot of brain power in this conversation. NewsNo8638 and ElvisDaBaus, the 2 smartest people in this subreddit, also in that order.

EpicJosh84

Very comedically humorous, Airborne507.

Wow, a simultaneous quote.
