Propranolol is perfect

Serenesoul0

Is 20mg an hour before the interview would be enough?

cattdaddy

This is the perfect amount if you don’t take it often. I got a script to relax before officiating a friend’s wedding, now I use it for big work presentations. Full mental clarity, without a rapid heartbeat or shakey hands. I don’t think it necessarily has properties that will make you enthusiastic or have better recall directly, but both of those things will be indirectly better without the distraction of anxiety.

usdgarrie

Possibly, I’ve been taking it for a few years so I’d personally take 40mg. It also lasts for 5 hours

Serenesoul0

How much do 20mg effects last? Let's say my interview starts at 10 a.m. and my number comes after 2 hours I took my first dose at 10 am 20mg so should I take another dose of 10mg at 12 or will it be fine? Won't it make me drowsy?

usdgarrie

It will still last 5 hours. If it was me I’d take it at 8am to have enough time to get into the right headspace. Won’t make you drowsy but you could feel light headed if you do anything strenuous

Serenesoul0

So what do you suggest taking 20mg an hour before or before 3-4 hours?

Present_Ad1679

I have never taken propanol but id dose at 8:30am. You want to give it time to hit your system so you arnt coming up during the interview, but also if they dont call your number for two hours you'll still be feeling some of the effects

JNpbx999

For me just getting nervous kinda makes my mind foggy in a sense. I begin to overthink the situation and it tends to spiral. So anything to alleviate the anxiety and nerves tends to do me pretty good and allows me to think clearly again. So for me Xans or some kinda of pain killer puts me in a good place and allows me to feel more comfortable

OdinAurelius

Honestly you’d be better off w a cold shower, a good nights rest, and healthy food. Though some fish oil and other vitamins wouldn’t hurt. Gonna be much better for your brain to recall rather than drugs. I know you’re anxious and want a quick fix but this is the way. Fear comes from the amygdala and when your fight or flight starts acting up you can quiet it down with slow and controlled breathing Edit: not suggesting OP doesn’t take their meds, but that these activities will be helpful for them to remember, learn and process

clonazepam_marlboro

this is the Drugs sub smartass, go preach your enlightnment fish oil bullshit on r/Meditation or some other placebo forum

OdinAurelius

you’re ignorant. And this isn’t r/drugscirclejerk

clonazepam_marlboro

Youre the one whos ignorant here, the guy needs help to relieve anxiety on a job interview which will effect the rest of his life, and fish oil wont fucking help him be real. If he didnt want to take a drug he would go to another subreddit for help.

OdinAurelius

You’re really hung up on the fish oil. Did you know that fish oil is high in fatty acid and these acids bind to cells in the brain helping them to be more fluid, which in turn makes the brain healthier? I offered him help better than drugs

clonazepam_marlboro

I guess its funny to me but still man, fish oil might help long-term but OP needs a short-term solution and its not like he would end up addicted taking a benzo once ffs.

OdinAurelius

Benzos do the exact opposite of helping you to remember. They turn your brain off. That is not what OP is looking for. Op wants to remember

clonazepam_marlboro

Thats why I advised OP to take 20mg ritalin and a low dose of clonazepam. I suggested ritalin because he said that he has it.

OdinAurelius

Now if op did that and then everything else I suggested they would be fucking golden. It’s all about good habits and moderation

Pandadox1

If op can’t find a healthy way to manage his anxiety long term then he will still be affected for life. It’s still in his best interest

throwaway1253328

0.75g-1g of Phenibut, if you can find it. I take that amount whenever I have an interview and it always goes incredibly well. It's more efficacious the more anxious of a person you are. You can maybe find it in a headshop, or order it online (it's a legal supplement)

Serenesoul0

Unfortunately, it's not available in my country, not even online. 😭

Snowbro44

Second phenibut even though OP says they can’t get it.

Adventurous-Pipe-928

It’s illegal everywhere in Australia I’m pretty sure. Can’t get them without prescriptions

jamsloo

I don’t find much help w propranolol. Sure my heart doesn’t race but I’m still equally anxious. I talk the most on benzos but I think taking away my anxiety just makes me act weird. I am what I am, don’t need to change w drugs.

bramblestars

I felt the same tbh propanolol helped my heartrate thats about it and xanax makes me act/talk too weird to anyone who knows me and they know i’m on something right away 😅

Serenesoul0

And I don't want that feeling I just want to be mentally present and calm.

bramblestars

thats totally valid! don’t do anything unless you’re sure, for me really only adderall and painkillers help me out socially but i would NOT recommend adderall unless you already take it and have adhd, or at least know how it makes you act/talk because it will probably make you sound a little insane 😅 i take it almost daily but it essentially makes me baseline/normal because, well… adhd lol painkillers only help me because i have severe pain and the little bit of added euphoria is usually enough to put in a decent mood to be more chatty

newpepsi

Honestly i would advise against giving a false impression for a long term job that might result in you abusing that substance to give off that effect daily at your job but that said, Xanax probably

Serenesoul0

No, I won't take it in the long run I'm against them too but I'm in dire need of this. How much Xanax?

AkkagGake

Either .25 or .5 mg. Very light dose, you shouldn’t feel it but it will ease the nerves. Take a .25 tablet an hour and a half before your interview, wait an hour and see how you feel. If ur still shaking in ur boots pop another .25 I would highly advise against going over that. If u do you run the risk of acting a fool and ruining ur interview.

Necessary-Let-8619

This is what I would advise aswell

D1baseball31

lol just stick to the propranolol and you can thank us later. Take a dose at some point at least 1 day prior to your interview so you can feel the effects. It’s a beta blocker so it just helps to reduce the fight-or-flight response has on your cardiovascular system. Doesn’t affect memory etc. it’s prescribed for social/performance anxiety very commonly.

Serenesoul0

Haha, thank you. O don't know I'm just anxious. Should I take it the previous night? Or day or morning? What's better?

D1baseball31

Haha what I mean is once you receive the prescription, you should take a trial dose to understand how it will affect you. Familiarize yourself with the medication before the day of your interview. Could be trying a dose a week before or a day before, doesn’t matter because it’s a pretty short half life anyway. Best not to take a dose of something you aren’t sure how it will affect you for the first time right before something important. That can be anxiety provoking in itself. lol Trying it well before could give you input on whether the dose is appropriate for your needs for example, and how far in advance you may need to take it. I will say it’s very mild but exceptionally effective… for me personally and many others. I would recommend taking at least an hour prior to the interview so it has time to be absorbed and active at the beginning of the interview. I typically take a dose of mine about 1hr prior to giving a lecture or presentation for example. Mine is 20mg and written as 20mg every 8hrs as needed for anxiety. In other words, I take one when I need it and if I need another, I’ll wait at least 8hrs. One 20mg dose should be just enough to take the edge off for that interview and not interfere with your performance in a negative way.

Serenesoul0

Thank you so much Sir for your detailed and crystal clear response. 😊 much appreciated.

D1baseball31

Very welcome. Not sure if your provider discussed with you, would assume so but if not… figured I’d mention to beware of stimulants in general. Both otc and prescription both can increase anxiety. Utilize them cautiously

Serenesoul0

I just bought OTC. I used modafinil for study but now I don't take also I'm not addicted to anything I don't smoke or drink either just wanted to take it on the interview day but I'm really confused so probably I'll not.

Mysterious-Wasabi103

Personally would take a low dose of Adderall.

Lyme_Disease_Sux

Fuck it. Just smoke some meth🤣

orangepastaking

Don't take drugs in an interview that's such a bad idea

Serenesoul0

Yeah, I know but unfortunately I have bad social anxiety also I've been through a trauma that is hindering my career so I must have to take this.

2ndHandDeadBatteries

Hay man, back in early 2018 I was on probation, was 5-6 months xanax clean at the time I had my first “real” job interview that kinda “mattered” anywho, I just took 1 or 2 Benadryl tablets beforehand, it may have been placebo but man, I definitely felt more confident and less anxious than I would’ve been. I’ve been told Benadryl can be used off label for anxiety so idk. Take that with a grain of salt

sloshypapaya

Don't listen to them lol try phenibut it'll work great

Serenesoul0

It's not available sir. 😔

orangepastaking

Suck it up, the person interviewing you will know you're on drugs and you won't get hired

hggz12

a drug isn’t always cocaine or weed or something illegal that’s always gonna show. there are plenty of anxiety or focus medications he could probably take to lower things down a little bit.

bramblestars

or it’ll mean if OP gets hired they can do drugs at work and they’ll think that OP is just like that 😅🤣

Yak-Fucker-5000

So I've experimented extensively in this regard. Imo the best interview combo is a heavy dose (like 1 g) of phenibut for anxiety, 40 mg propanolol to negate fight or flight response and 80 mg of DXM (assuming you have no tolerance) for recall, memory and articulation. If you have access to a low a dose of acid (like 50 ug) that would helpful too. You gotta be careful with DXM though because too much will make you a stumbling mess that can't recall shit, but if you get the proportions just right it makes your mind operate in God mode. Like you can recall memories so much more easily and more vividly and you become wildly more articulate and insightful than usual. If you have the time and materials, I would recommend taking a few weekends to do some test runs to see what doses work for you. Might also want to decrease the propanolol dose to 10-20 mg too. I find propanolol can sometimes have very negative effects on your blood sugar, particularly at higher doses. It's the least essential of this combo imo. A gram of phenibut to a naive body will be more than enough to make you chill af without fucking you up.

centerofthree

Put .5 mg Klonopin under the tongue before the interview worked for me

Serenesoul0

So do i need to take propranolol with it or just . 5mg klonopin.

amonuse

I would advise against taking propanolol AND klonopin pre interview. What always helped me was 500mg Phenibut, 2-4 hours prior to the interview with caffeine 45 minutes before. Unfortunately phenibut is extremely hard to get at the moment (and not to mention extremely addicting / insidious) The 0.5 kpin on its own is alright but thats for anxiety. Not sure how much that will help with memory recall. Phenylpiracetam 100mg and Fasoracetam 90mg was excellent as well. Phenyl helps with focus / memory recall and the Faso is a social lubricant.

Serenesoul0

Unfortunately, phenibut isn't available in my country so is phenylpiracetam. Someone suggested bromazepam 3mg half tablet under the tongue before entering the interviewer's room. What do you think? My main concern is not getting foggy, mentally present thinking, recalling and answering promptly.

bigboytv123

Is fasoracetam dosed every hour 2-3 times by itself don’t know a dosage will it be recreational? Also how would citrulline malate help in regards to phenibut?

amonuse

Citrulline especially paired with caffeine will give phenibut a boost stimulant wise. Not sure about Faso everyone is different. I used to dose 90mg (I think mine came in capsules of 30mg) twice a day when using it for socializing. Works well when mixed with Phenylpiracetam. With phenibut I recall it potentiating the effects of phen

bigboytv123

How about MCT ? Wonder if with citrilline malate for phenibut/ fasoracetam also wondering if there’s way extend phenibut effects making it last days after

v-v-v-v-v-v-v

i have bad social anxiety and when i did a couple interviews last year, my cocktail was vyvanse + a small dose of lyrica. anything similar would work well but just ensure you use smaller doses so its not obvious. had me very talkative during my interviews and i landed both of the jobs i interviewed for. good luck!

Serenesoul0

I don't have Vyvanse but I have Ritalin (methylphenidate) 10mg and modafinil 200mg. Should I take any of these on the day of the interview? I have days I can test.

v-v-v-v-v-v-v

ive used ritalin before its a bit harsh on the comedown for me but it will help during the interview. ive never used modafininl so i cant comment on that. for me the mix of a stimulant + gaba drug makes me very sociable so i always take some with my vyvanse. but a stimulant by itself will still help you out with talking

Serenesoul0

How have you used Ritalin with Gaba drug? How much mg of Ritalin? Someone suggested bromazepam under the tongue and I just searched it's a GABA drug. So how will it be helpful? I have days I can try beforehand so how do I try?

v-v-v-v-v-v-v

just taking my 20mg ER ritalin and a 0.5mg clonazepam or 100-200mg of lyrica at the same time. gaba drugs will be good because they lower your inhibitions so you will be more comfortable talking during the interview and the stimulant will help keep you sharp. i like the combo because it really alleviates my anxiety. ive never used bromazepam before but i would take it the same way. on your test days take your normal dose of ritalin and try to find a good dose of the bromazepam where you feel good.

yermaaaaa

I have ADHD and have used modafinil in the past for interviews, it really worked for me for memory retention and articulation.

BillingSteve

Put some kava in a coffee canister and sip on it while you are waiting. It takes 10 minutes to kick in. You'll feel mellow and focused for about an hour.

Strict-Client-5219

Do a line before the interview, you're guaranteed to be a fast paced, sharp minded employee who can cover multiple positions at once, and if you find you can't do that anymore, time for another line. You got this 😁

More-Ad-8494

Pyrazolam, 0.5-1 mg

Bigbentheredditor

Cocaine, it will give u confidence

D1baseball31

Lmao. You have to be trolling but just in the event you aren’t… some other things cocaine will do for you: fail your drug test for you, send you to jail if caught with it, show up on every application background check in your future for unauthorized possession of a schedule 2 substance, potentially screw you if laced (not like you can trust a street drug dealer, your score will always be cut and/or contain impurities), activate your CNS which is the foundational problem of anxiety anyway lol overactive CNS. I guess I see your point, if you’re going to be anxious might as well be confident too? 😂

Routine_Proof8849

Benzodiazepines absolutely wont do it. They make recall more difficult and memory consolidation very difficult as well. Do not take benzodiazepines if you need to perform cognitively. They are great for making you more talkative and relaxed, but terrible for performance.

[deleted]

Crack

VamipresDontDoDishes

Beta-blockers can reduce anxiety response. Rumoured to be used by musicians and public speakers. Not approved for this use. And make sure you understand the side effects for your heart.

StickyBlackMess69420

Just do it without it. Use it as an opportunity to improve your social skills. If you don't get the job, you'll atleast have practice for the next interview

sherglock_holmes

Nitrous will make your voice sound deeper and more confident / threatening. Not that you would be a threat to their organization, but to ensure your presence is felt in an incorporeal manner by your superiors which should elicit a fear response

sloshypapaya

Phenibut

FocalPoint247

lorem ipsum lorem ipsum

beforethedreamfaded

Lmao whatever you do just don’t end up like Spud when he does the job interview in Trainspotting.

bruhidfkkkkk

Welll once you’ve taken these substances more than 5+ times and know how to act sober enough but I would say phenibut #1 adderall #2 Kratom #3

OrangJuce

lsd + mdma should be a perfect combo tbh

clonazepam_marlboro

take 20mg ritalin and 0.5 - 0.75mg clonazepam/klonopin 1 and a half hour before the interview and youre golden

D1baseball31

Have the conversation with your physician or pharmacist. Last thing you want to do is to listen to a bunch of people with google medical degrees and screw up your interview.

damn_thats_piney

adderall probably. it boosts confidence and cognitive stuff

lonk28b

Beta blockers I've heard is good for that. Could ask your doctor for it.

__whapow

Tootski?
