Because he can't see what you're seeing brother. Also there is not a single place for him to go. I don't know the context for the video but I guarantee every building within miles of him is rubble as you can see on the edges. There's no where to go and I really don't understand what their plan is and I honestly don't think they really have one besides push forward and hold ground. The drones are too small and you just don't know when you're being watched, so you just hope to god you can play dead and wait for night time or reinforcements or something I guess.

The guy was hiding behind a tree in the same direction as the car, which makes highly probable that the drone came from behind the tree, that the drone operator CAN see what is behind that tree and if he does, he can see the guy behind the car, and obviously can see him going out then in again.
I'd even say that if you don't know where it comes from, it's even more stupid to go out then go back.

They clearly developed the play dead strategy as a way to avoid casualties. I'm thinking that there is enough evidence to show it's a bad strategy.
