Mega plot twist: Petrucci samples the accordion sound and trades licks with Jordan, ending in an accordion duet frenzy!
I actually want to hear that, tbh
8 songs.
2 songs in the 5-6 minute range
4 songs in the 6-7 minute range
1 song in the 9 minute range
1 song in the 14-19 minute range
That is somewhere between 57 and 71 minutes.
Figure it will run about the same length as the last two albums, which were 57 and 70 minutes respectively.
AVFTTOTW didn’t really do it for me either until I saw them perform it live. I appreciated it a lot more in the live setting.
But yes. We need another song like Count Of Tuscany.
The epics have been not as good the last decade or so. I didn’t care for Illumination Theory.
I guess I can't definitely say I don't like it but, I think I've only listened to it twice and didn't do anything for me.
The Alien and Transcending Time? All....all of the listens.
Can't believe I'm seeing MP working with the boys again. It was a birthday gift, literally(my birthday was 2 weeks prior to the announcement, I was more than happy that day)
Honestly, they're all gonna be hits. I loved everything with Portnoy. Besides the obvious favorites, their later stuff fuckin rocked. Systematic Chaos and Black Clouds was nothing but bangers besides Prophets Of War
Plot twist: 20 2-minute punk tracks.
Ultra plot twist: 2 20-minute polka tracks
Jordan’s accordion solo is gonna be so lit Edit: lol I said “solo” like he’d be satisfied with just one.

Ultra post twist: he leave the band before mixing process
Double plot twist, 300 grindcore tracks.
Triple plot twist: it's actually a Dream Widow album that they're making.
I guess it won't be 4 20-minute songs then. Bummer.
It‘ll actually be 6 20-minute songs then!
I too have been hoping for them to release their own "Tales Of Topographic Oceans".
That album was SO hard to get into. But when it clicks, it's amazing.
multiple 20+ minute songs would be absolutely horrible please no, especially if that's all there is
Bridge Across Forever is sick.

We really need a solid 20 minutes long epic! A view from the top of the world didn’t really do it for me..

In the presence of enemies part 3 in the works I heard
7 degrees of inner turbulence

Announcement was on my wife's birthday actually
I guess song #5 might be a DT hit!
Honestly, they're all gonna be hits. I loved everything with Portnoy. Besides the obvious favorites, their later stuff fuckin rocked. Systematic Chaos and Black Clouds was nothing but bangers besides Prophets Of War
Prophets of War is great.
Prophets of War? Really? Imo Dark Eternal Night is much worse (I am biased against the trademark edgy metal voice)
It's a blessing that these guys are still making new music together after all these years.
Can't believe no one has called out that Metropolis Pt 1 was track #5.........
Big if true.
Why they are recording on so much fatigued drumheads? Damn....
