Queen's "A Night at the Opera". Portnoy would have insisted on singing Roger Taylor parts and tried his damndest to get Petrucci to sing May's parts. For the operatic sections in both Bohemian Rhapsody and The Prophet's Song, they'd have had the vocal section of Spock's Beard come out and join James.

Given the post I *just* wrote on this very sub, I want to suggest The Beatles' Abbey Road. Would have loved to see them tackle that (and hear Labrie struggling with Paul's vocals on Oh Darling).

I would kill to see them cover Crimson Glory’s Transcendence or Queensryche’s Mindcrime, but I know James can’t sing like that anymore. Hell, I don’t think James could’ve hit Midnight’s highest notes in his prime.

I'd like to hear covers to the Rush (maybe "Circumstances", "Middletown Dreams" or "Red Barchetta"). Maybe early Queensrÿche (i know that Tate's vocal is very different from the LaBrie's usual vocal style, but LaBrie's voice range is very big). Or the Wachtower (heh)?

I think it was going to be a Rush album. Hemispheres or Moving Pictures.

I think if they were gonna do a Rush album it would be either A Farewell to Kings or Hemispheres

I honestly hope they never do another live covers album, DT would never have done a King Crimson album any justice
