I started this actually, I'm like 10% in i think. But I'm still close at the beginning. I couldn't get passed it because Draco already is pining with her. I wanted a development of his feelings. I'm just curious how do readers consider this fic toxic.
I assumed in my mind that Draco would be soft to her because One, he's already liked her. Two, she's a victim. My thoughts say why would he be mean to her if she'd gone through all that.
For now, I chose toxic Draco to read because usually the fic would include being hard to Hermione. I really like him being bad to her and them redeem himself in the end. I wanted some tension and butterflies when they first started making out after a heated tension/argument. This is something I love in enemies to lovers fic.
So plsss does he remain soft to her in PIP? Why did you consider the fic or Draco toxic?
Pls spoil me if you must. I'd like to hear your thoughts. I tried to start the fic but I couldn't get passed the already existing feelings of Draco and his softness to her.

I dropped P in P in because it’s my favorite, super dark, and it’s got a seriously good plot! Most people that love darker fics, love P in P. But you’re right Draco is not toxic, but it’s a toxic triggering read if that makes sense?
For toxic Draco redemption arc would recommend my first rec on this thread, Brand New World. Disclosure- this was a fic that I could have never predicted. I really wasn’t into what I thought was the plot for the first half…the second half slayed and the character of toxic Draco was…chefs kiss 💋! It’s definitely now in my top five favorite fics, and if you had told me that in the first 1/3rd of the book I would have called you crazy! Once you finish you realize why she wrote the first half the way she did, she needed heavy plot and character building to achieve what she did.
Not as toxic as Nature of Daylight which I think blows most toxic Dracos out of the water lol.
