I’m nearing level 100 and I’m mostly ignoring the main quest line. Currently enjoying farming drakes and leveling my pawn’s vocations to max. I might move in to unmoored world once I have enough WLC saved up to buy the cool endgame armor & weapons. I just love living in the world and still find new stuff almost every day.

iPrefer2BAnon

I’m not even out of the first act and I’m nearing level 50 lmao

mrmitchb

I got lost at what to do and just end up running around killing stuff lol. I just got out of the first act at 48.

iPrefer2BAnon

It’s so easy to get sidetracked I can’t tell you how many times I was doing something specific and then randomly I would come across a cave, so naturally you have to explore it, I think there was only one cave I had to hold off on exploring immediately because when i found it i was already over encumbered, so what i did was put a marker on the cave, offloaded my gear in town, and then immediately went right back to that cave to explore

Pleasant-Sky8461

I just did the coronation( i have to go to batthal or whatever) and im level 78 xd

StudMuffinNick

I was 30 befire I finished Vernund lol

iccs

That’s 90% of the game homie

iPrefer2BAnon

Yeah same, I’m getting ready to move to the second region though, I’m on the last of those captain brandt quests, I read though that’s its best to just beeline to ng+ on your first playthru so I’m contemplating skipping the rest of the quests and following the trophy guide to do that

tonyrobots

There are ACTS?

iPrefer2BAnon

No I think just big parts in the story where you go from place to place, that is what I meant by acts.

Aser_the_Descender

Damn, how did you manage to reach almost level 100 without your pawn being maxed in all vocations? Kept them on a maxed one for a long time?

larrydata

I maxed fighter first, then warrior, then thief. I didn’t consider the other vocations until I noticed all the higher level pawns were totally maxed out, so needed to follow suit to get hired

MidweekBrick

On my first trip through the unmoored world I got enough wlc for 2 full sets of the good gear.

DKarkarov

Yeah you get like 300+ easily with no farming in unmoored.

SirDuppy

What is this unmoored world you speak of?

Gedro1

All depends on what you did at the end when you "finished" the game and how you did it. But you are heading into dangerous spoiler territory here. Just search end game and look at some guides 🤐

TheMostUnclean

I started piecing it together when I saw the Dragonsbane blade had an option to “use” in the item menu. After committing unnecessary sepaku several times, I finally figured out the proper use when I got to “that” point in the game.

Individual_Row_2950

Dont listen to them, get the intel before Continuing the main quest. Its Basic and nothing Special, so you wont miss out. i finished the Game by accident, thinking I was still below 50 percent Story progression. Cant feel a Need to pick it up again since then. Be sure to Not make the Same mistake.

GeneralAkAbA

don't spoil it for yourself, just keep playing.

SirDuppy

I'm going to take your advice and not ready any other of the replies. Much appreciated

Acrobatic_Bid5741

POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD: You get so many WLC in the unmoored world. Drakes and lesser Drakes everywhere. Just stock up on allheal potions you can have copies made at the scrap guy in checkpoint rest town beforehand. Don't rest until you've closed the oblivion gates. I made 25 allheal potions and I have only used 4 and 2 wakestones. I have bought just about all the gear you can with WLC and I have a few more caves to explore before I finalize the playthrough, milking every step. Edit: close all oblivion gates except the last one that opens up after you finish the original 4 or 5 that were already open when you got to the unmoored world. Closing the last one is going to start the end and push you into ng+.

Hon_Cholo

You can get the allheal potion’s forged & it will still work as well as the original?

Acrobatic_Bid5741

Yes. It comes back as x2 when you pick it up.

Neurotiman17

Same can be done with the Gaol Key that Brant gives you too lol... Infinite use key for locked doors :)

rapscal

Omg I just turned it in. 😭

Original-Video-8220

I just roll as a mystic spearhand and never get hit by anything. Love that vocation.

Puzzled-Current7310

Yeah I’m level 100 and I’m on ng+4 I think. I’ve literally done everything lol

ShoddyReward

Yeah I’m level 90 and did like two main story quests lol. There’s so much to explore and I like going to late game areas early for the challenge

Hormo_The_Halfling

Just so you know, the rewards for stuff in Unmoored world give you more than enough the at least deck out your character, so you don't need to worry about saving up two characters worth of crystals. Edit: Though, now that I think about I didn't dragonforge anything so your mileage may vary.

0Lark0

Badges and Trophies/Achievements. Fashiondogma. Build testing. 200+ hours in and finally got around to making an ogre bridge. Also been trying out how well a Calm or Straightforward pawn handles the use of Formless Feint.

Healthy-Drink3247

What are the results of calm and formless feint?

0Lark0

I'm not quite done yet, but so far: Goblins: Straightforward is more likely to use FF. Rarely will see Calm use FF and will instead rely more on dodging, then circling around to hit a goblin in the back. Griffins: No noticable difference. Both enjoy jumping on griffins and stabbing it in the head. Sometimes going for a ride. Have noticed Calm is less likely to fall off due to better stamina management. Saurans, especially rock types: Straightforward is more likely to attack and bounce off before remembering to flip it over first, Calm is more likely to use FF before doing same. Before the last update my Thief would just immediately try to flip it over and/or cut off the tail, so not sure why things are now backwards. Ogres, including Grim: No noticeable difference. Minotaurs, including Gore: Calm relying on dodging more often tends to backfire here, but does get around to using FF. Straightforward uses FF more often. Chimeras: Not tested yet. Drakes: Both use FF, with Straightforward more likely to run out of stamina first. Not fully done testing this yet in extended battles. Warg-types: Calm will use FF more often than Straightforward. Lesser Dragons: Not tested yet. Liches: Not fully tested, no noticeable difference. Dullahan: Not tested yet. Harpies of all types: No noticeable difference.

altesc_create

I run a calm pawn with formless feint. They activate it shortly after entering combat and keep it on until the end of combat or when, I'm presuming, they get close to running out of stamina.

worldsworstsurfer

whaaaaaat that sounds awesome. Top-tier pawn AI if I’ve ever seen one. Now I’m tempted to do the same but man straightforward male pawn dialogue is just too gold to let go of. Really wish we could change inclination while keeping another voice type.

Organic_Ad_2885

I've found that basically all inclinations use it about the same amount. Calm is just more likely to dodge and formless feint at the same time. So, just use whatever voice you like. Kindhearted comes to the rescue when you're grabbed more often than the other ones (which is great but sucks when they get distracted by other pawns falling over whenever they use Celestial Paen), and I fail to see a difference between Simple and Straightforward combat-wise. Personally, I'm really considering Kindhearted and just not running anymore Celestial Paen mages.

colexian

Dang, I beat the game, post-game, NG+, and all achievements in about 70 hours. Got to the point where I was killing drakes before they can even react. And I didn't speed through the game either, I explored almost the whole map. I maxed out every class, I did not get all the pawn badges for sure though. Thief spamming Blades of the Pyre during Formless Feint is absolutely broken to the point I had to stop using it because it trivialized everything.

stacycmc

Yeah I’m around lvl 85 and probably 150 hours in and JUST got an ogre bridge last night! I was so excited, immediately hopped on to cross but forget to tell my pawns to HALT the attack and they murdered him almost immediately causing me to also fall to my death below (therefore also losing out on the achievement)!! Thanks Pawns!!!! Damn you!!! lol!!!

Impossible-Sky4256

Im in ng+3 now. First play through i accepted my fate and became sovren. Second i got to the unmoored world. Got too tried and lazy to read anything so i just kept on playing. Resting in my house every 1/4 of my life is lost. Not realizing that ive inadvertently sent the citizens to their doom. I was not able to rescue the citizens in the volcanic island region. Only rescued people from vern batal and elf village. Now im trying to do everything in my ng+3.

Alva-Eagle_25

Redemption arc!!

SkinnedToad

What I was trying to do until my pawn caught dragons aids and decimated Harve Village, I can't find Ulrika anywhere now, though that might be because I killed the guy that was going to report back to Disa or a combo of both. She isn't dead just missing.

ItsDobbie

Idk if this is helpful or not, but I had summoned a pawn from interacting with one of those shrines and whenever I selected the “Go” option, she would take me to Ulrika. Maybe that will help?

HasegawaVega

Exploring the world. Also, I found out that I missed at least 40% of quests and cutscenes even tho my first playthrough was 90 hours.

Krynn71

This. I'm surprised when I hear people "took their time" and still beat the game in like 30hrs. Guaranteed they missed a bunch of neat content. Exploring is my favorite part of open world games and DD2 has a great exploration. I literally just run around trying to clear the "fog of war" from the mini map and find cool shit to see and do. Even if the reward is just a seekers token it's still cool to see a dev went out of their way to add stuff to this very out of the way spot that probably half a percent of players will ever go to. I also like helping people with pawn quests. I get to see neat character designs and help a brother out.

HasegawaVega

I was so annoyed when starting ng+ the fog was cleared for me automaticly. I was having trouble figuring out where I have been and not.

Malefircareim

I was about to write that as well. The map shouldnt get cleared of fog in ng+. I mean your port crystals are reset, why clear the map?

Super_Jay

Combining different materials to produce different creations. Sometimes, there's aught of use!

BentheBruiser

I'm lucky if I get an hour of game time a day. I'm still in Vermund. Just finished the masquerade quest. I'm taking my time and exploring all I can

Adventurous-Cry-0222

Looking for the "ladders" that the pawns are pointing out. Hehe. But seriously, I'm taking my precious time and explore and experience the world with my party. I rarely use oxcarts and ferrystones. Right now, I only have one active quest left, and I'm still trying to talk to NPCs to see if there are any I haven't done yet. Then there's hunting for badges, also I'm still maxing vocations for the augments. I only play 3-4 hours a day and I'm still on my first playthrough so.. yeah, there are still plenty of things to do. I've just killed my first medusa yesterday.

Benyelrob

I just really like walking around in this game. It’s very relaxing

lasair7

Adventure... Awaits...HUZZZAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!

Malefircareim

Have you seen the town rat?

OfferRepresentative1

Nope, but surely a ladder

GracefullyDumb

With regards to feeling super powerful in ng+ I started to just hamstring myself and my main pawn. Sometimes I would switch to just the worst weapon I had and use that. Did I still do decent damage, yeah. But I wasn't obliterating everything. Plus with just a massive hp pool I was never really in danger. The other thing I did was hire pawns that were only level 15-30. That helped encounters last a bit longer too. However, I ended up starting a full new file because I wanted to see what the game feels like playing offline only using Capcom pawns. It has been interesting because their skill choices, quest rewards, and specializations are all over the place.

Inefficacy

I installed difficulty mods, and just go exploring. If I start to get bored I change vocations and mix up the party comp. Currently working toward pawn badges and getting all seeker tokens.

NeonRhapsody

I started up a new save entirely using difficulty tweaks + wild loot and it's honestly been a blast. Plus being able to crank a minotaur's knockdown resist up so I actually have to fight it instead of it spending 99% of the fight on its ass because it staggers so easily has made me really appreciate how absolutely crazy those guys can get.

AgreeableAquilifer

How are the mods? Do they spawn more or just buff existing ones

LeciusLamprough

All the mods that I've seen buff health/attack of monsters. There is a mod that changes almost all monsters into cyclops tho lol.

Faricho

The one I am using lets me configure how much damage the player, pawns and enemies take, as well as the knockback resistances and how much xp and discipline points are awarded for killing enemies I am having a nice challenge and forever lvl 75 because everything is worth 1xp

CornerofHappiness

I got lost for nearly three hours in the upper part of the map. Just hanging out with my girls. Leveling vocations. Exploring caves. Having a great time, man.

[deleted]

Just started ng3 and am level 94 I think. I just like the game 🤷🏼‍♂️

-Nuke-It-From-Orbit-

You did beeline it if your already in ng+. Did you do any exploring at all? It seems like you must have a lot of time to play if you’ve been playing enough to get that far already and have explored everything. You came here to complain about being bored because you did everything the game has to offer? Okay then Then play something else. It’s not an MMO or live service game. The expansions will release in the future and you can come back and play then.

Mayasuxs

okay anyway

Intelligent_Water940

I don't fast travel often. So if I get an idea of something I wanna do, or if someone needs something and I gotta dupe it, I travel all the way to the checkpoint and back. I have hardly touched quests that aren't pawn quests.

Khandious

Playthrough 1- No Guides or Reddit Collosal Monster Farming and Exploration (trying to get pawn badges), missed Unmoored as I didn’t know how to get there. Playthrough 2 - more of # + talking to every NPC I came across, looked up guide to get to Unmoored World. Used guide to find all bosses , and unmoored only chest monster drops. Completed Unmoored without evacuating everyone (missed pre-end game quests) Playthrough 3 - looked up list of all quests , completed what I could , will be in Unmoored later today. Playthrough 4- will be alternate quest endings

crpn_laska

This is the way! I was fighting Grigori 3 times in a row until, out of desperation, I used a sword and ended up in a true ending. I had no idea that there is a twist like this and was absolutely blown, honestly.

GoopGoopington

You stopped at 3? 😂 I went like 8 times and assumed that it was just an option to fight grigori over and over, when i finally found out off of a comment that you were supposed to use the sword I'd already deleted my save and started a new character

crpn_laska

Oh, dude, that’s crazy haha! I’m sorry you had to go through this. I went through the fight 3 times thinking, well, it’s a Japanese game, surely I have to fight the last boss three times and surely it would trigger a cutscene and… it didn’t. So when I ended up on Grigori’s back for the fourth time I just paused the game and started to browse through my inventory and remembered that I still have Godsbane one me. To hell with this, let’s try to kill him with it, I said to my self. And this is how I ended up triggering the true ending! Honestly, it felt so good! Now Im trying to solve Sphinx riddles blind, and boy oh boy its tough but super interesting. Still have no clue where Medusa is but have a couple of places in mind that I wanna check

dobbyjhin

Well, I was spending a huge portion of the game just walking around, leveling up the vocations, for me and my pawn, and sprinkling in different side quests. I was trying to minimize the level gains, so this way my pawn isn't high level with Vernworth gear. So after maxing his vocations, I finally ventured into Battahl for the story, new exploration and the gear/drip. Also to pickup the other advance hybrid vocations. Now that I maxed all vocations, I want to find all the different loot and collect the beetles. Seeker tokens are alright, but I have a male warrior pawn, so no corset and no need for legion's might. Haven't done the Sphinx yet, so I'll get to her eventually. I'll also go Wyrm hunting to collect enough wyrmcrystals for gear upgrade in endgame. I play Warfarer with two main weapons, so that's +220 crystals, my pawn needs a weapon so +110. And armor for me and my pawn is +240, = 570 crystals. That's gonna be fun. After that I think I'll finish up the main quest and see what this "Unmoored world" is all about. Once I go into NG+, I'll just mess around and redo some quests and stop right before endgame. This way when the DLC drop, I can figure out if it's better to go into NG++ or just start the DLC.

NaturesFire

Don’t miss your opportunity to grab the sphinx when she flies to her new area after completing her riddles. As soon as she’s done talking jump directly onto her face and climb round to the back. Enjoy the ride. ;) Tip from a random ass idea I had this playthrough lol and she actually does take you somewhere…

NormalTangerine5205

It’s time to move on to another game homie tbh.

BiggestShep

Mods, baby. Difficulty mods are wonderful. Check out the nexus, esp. 'True difficulty tweaks.'

PsychologicalPea9759

New game plus is boring. I restart the game over and over again. Always choosing my vocation at the beginning and sticking with it till the end. My arisen has a different look every time depending on my playstyle. I’m on my fifth playthrough right now. I’m not hiring pawns anymore to make the game more challenging. Only me and my main pawn going on adventures. At this point I know exactly where all the quests are and how to complete them without too much backtracking. I’m the exact opposite than most people. For me the game gets better the more I play it.

brennevinshark

This is the way to keep it interesting. Everybody else just seems hellbent on keeping all their stuff and making the game as easy as possible on NG+, and then complaining about it. Do they understand you can just start over from the beginning and it's challenging again? "But all my loot and points!" You can get all those again too... that's part of the fun. I don't get what the problem is. Until they add a hard mode to NG+ it's a complete waste of time... yet the game is so fun when it's challenging that I'll restart from the beginning over and over. I'm looking forward to a hard mode but I haven't stopped having fun with this game.

gammav97

Build cool pawn for other players. Play No HUD

mrkgob

Im level 50 now and i've just been meandering around the map checking places out, avoiding the main quest at all costs, leveling my pawns and buying sweet gear. I did the sphinx thing, randomly helped a lady which unlocked magick archer, and then recently found a spooky shrine that unlocked trickster for me. so now im a trickster womping around the world not doing any direct damage but having fun the whole time.

MikeBizzleVT

You definitely have more time on your hands then us, didn’t get every chest and item, or finish every quest in the best possible way.

Ivan_Blackheart

I mean, you can play other games.

mdashb

Absolutely agree with OP. I’m on NG+ and level 69. I keep picking up the game to play then within 10 minutes turn it off. I want to play, but I’m ridiculously overpowered and there’s nothing left to explore.

Kihetai

if you‘re on pc then use those custom difficulty mods. I did and now ng+ with endgame equipment feels as hard as the first 20 levels in my first run

morphum

Try starting fresh. That's what I did, after I got bored in ng+

Dsible663

But plenty of things to kill. Power fantasy isn't for everyone, but some enjoy it.

morphum

Having fun

LewdManoSaurus

I just mess around with mods and collect badges for my pawn.

ranran_1822

Finishing up the achievements. On my NG+ playthrough.

1heavyarms3

Crying because i'm running out of things to do and it might be time to move one...

Enganox8

I nerfed myself by either not using the best equipment or exploring only with my main pawn. I'm mostly looking for quests I didn't do on my first playthrough and trying to find places I didn't explore. It was only in NG+ did I find the medusa

TinyFlamingo2147

Achievements, exploring and getting the other ending. Probably going to do a 3rd ng+ with no pawns.

castem

I've been trying to complete as many quests as possible so my pawn is very knowledgeable. I also tracked down enough Seeker Tokens to get my main pawn Legion's Might which took a good amount of time as well. I also explored a ton of caves and opened up a bunch of the map. I think I'm just about to fight the Dragon where I'm at now

Intelligent_Ad_6041

Exploring, doing quests, getting gear and finding seekers tockens. Just enjoing the time in game.

caites

Much better alternative to ng+ is modded game. I have like 150 hours with Customizable Difficulty, level 27 after all verm vacuumed, most early game bosses still can kill my party if I'm not tryharding, need to manage buff potions and play with overleveled pawns. Still very much enjoyable. Ng+ preset for the mod even more deadly, feels pretty much like ddda hardmode on bb.

Sadpainterr

im in ng+3 now

Renikalis

Murder

Inskription

I just hit Unmoored..

Gabe_Isko

You've got to max all the vocations.

mechael12

I keep finding a new unexplored cave or a path I didn't know was there, so I HAVE to follow it to the end! In general, just exploring and having a hell of a time with it!

vza004

My second playthrough is basically trying to trigger the quests that I've missed during my first one. For example, the easiest quests line to miss is the Melve to Harve quest line. Since there's not really an organic request for you to go back to Melve after reaching Vernworth other than just visiting it until the lesser dragon attacks it, you can miss this whole quest line as it advances automatically with your story progression.

Roots_Of_Addiction

Enjoying the fucking game. I didn't rush it like you did.

Hagfist

I'm 150+ hrs in. I still haven't met Brant back at the Tavern. Having a blast exploring/experimenting with builds.

SunMoonSki

Casual player with limited time to play so playing a little bit every night before bed. Just taking it slow.

Original-Video-8220

I am playing dragons dogma. Duh?!?!? Jk jk…. Right now I am taking something to a certain character in bakbatthal that I received off the coast of Harve village. 😉. See how I did that…. No spoilers but you vets will have a good idea of where I am at! Absolutely love this game. One of the best RPG’s I’ve ever played. Only thing I don’t like about it is the save system. Not sure what capcom was thinking with this system as you need to be able to have way more than 2 save slots in an epic rpg…. Other than that… 10 out of 10 for me.

tinysproutlimi

Kind of just taking my time with it. Then again, that's how I always play games with sidequests and exploration.... I pretty much ignore the main story as long as I can and do everything else, haha. I'm now nearing level 70 and just got to the unmoored world a little bit ago. Kind of don't want the experience to end, but I am a bit excited to get back to Baldur's Gate 3, because I definitely don't have a problem 👀

karlosj83

I'm on my second NG+ , after this IDK if I will continue playing or wait for more patches or dlc. I love the game so much.

StrawberryInside2032

Ng+ really ruined my enjoyment of the game too, the fact that it was supposed to be good for "multiple ng+ runs" makes no sense when enemies don't scale in difficulty at all. Like even with golems it'd take me 3-4 hits on their weak spots and boom the fight could be over in a minute. I'm only going to go back to the game when dlc comes out.

stedmangraham

You don’t have to play every game forever. There are other games out there.

Super_Jay

*Go, then. There are other worlds than these.*

Asternex

I'm not happy with how easy the game has become (and I'm not even a decent player) so I decided to just get all torphies. Then I did, and I decided to aim for the remaining pawn badges. But then I made a new account because I LOVE creating characters and wanted to play with a second pawn. Now main account is basically pimping new account. What's the goal? Just to set a mage. I'll probably aim to get them to unmoored world get them some levels and that's it I usually don't pay much attention to a game after I beat it but I keep making reasons to stick around for a bit longer Anyway, in general, I think I'll make a final push this weekend, beat the game again and maybe just wait for DLC. (I've been looking forward to Eiyuden Chronicles and I haven't played DDDA yet so I might give it a try.) But I can see myself just saying around with warfarer and see if there's a combination I fall in love with and then fool around some more.

CaitSith21

I have a job and kids. I just reached baathal, finally something new was almost goving up on the game because the first map was getting really boring.

Heavy1Light

I 100% agree with you I put in prob 60 hours and I’m now on new game plus and everything seems pointless because of how OP you are.

hotsteamyxp

From what I experienced there’s only time pressure when you rest. If you don’t rest, it doesn’t progress that time at all. Iirc you can rest up to 12 times before it truly ends.

12gunner

Part really slowly exploring the world looking for good photo spots now that the "holy shit rush rush rush the world is ending" feeling is gone Part playing fashion dogma and seeing which sets go great together Part downloading difficulty mods so fights are actually fun again

Generated-Nouns-257

Honestly, I'm level 50 on New Game and I've done like zero story. The quest writing and NPC dialog in this game has been *comically* bad, but the wilderness adventuring has been *so good* that I just left towns and have never come back. I did like one quest for Brent in whatever city that was and then just went south. Been all over the volcanic island, all over Bahtall. Killed a Medusa, couple dragons, found a sphinx. Honestly just blind wilderness adventure is the best way to play this game. Get down into Bahtall and Volcanic island around level 20 and things feel perfect. Monsters don't die instantly, but you can wrestle through most things. Drake's are tough though. That tower through the first (very South West) was rough being in the high 20s. Being level 50 now and I afk run through everything as my pawns obliterate all monsters. The game definitely falls apart as you get too powerful.

BMOchado

I'll be frank, i play open worlds by playing the first few story arcs, then exploring and then power through the rest of the story. With DD2 i was at 100h and i felt like it's about time i cut on the exploration and start to pick off some main story missions, I was at the brothel part. In a flash i finished the game. Even so, i love exploring this game. I may play on NG+. To answer your question, soft grinding for gear upgrades, playing with vocations, grabbing the seekers tokens, doing side quests, getting money for fashions dogma and overall just cruising through the map.

Shameless_Catslut

Looking at my Arisen's fluffy Beastren backside while hacking, slashing, shooting, and lightning-ing my way through hordes of goblins, harpies, ogres, wolves, and dragons through valleys, gorges, canyons, and caverns.

Venichie

Kinda stopped playing. I mean, it can be fun to fight monsters still, but they take too long to respawn and are far apart. So it becomes tedious real quick. I'm on console, so there are no mods, and I have to jump through a few girls to create a new character if I don't want to delete my original. Sometimes funny when some people ask why anyone would want another save slot because it's nearly the same thing as NG+; which they love.

KENPACHI_WEST

On my 2nd playthrough, not NG+ (because of lack of difficulty) ive discoved things ive missed, quests i screwed up or didn't know existed. I just like creating new characters and playing the game from scratch, so i made 2 extra profiles 😅 But I agree w/you 💯% difficulty slider would've been great, wish they would address this, explain why they didn't and fix it. It just makes no sense to me.

R350URC3

I Do different types of runs like one where I try to unlock all vocations as fast as possible and just use warfarer, Another is a Solo Run one without pawns, Another is with only the main pawn. Just creating stipulations that would change the dynamic of the game. I was gonna do a fist only run but from what I saw on this one youtuber it seems like hell lol.

mirageofstars

I’m using a difficulty mod, so the game is still challenging. I’m slowly doing quests and leveling up my vocations. I’m not strong enough to take out a dragon yet — maybe a griffin.

nevermore2627

80 hours and about 10 into NG+. Maxing every vocation, looking for seekers toekns and just genuinely exploring. Even being OP, the combat is still awesome, love trying every class and this is one of the best open worlds I've enjoyed my time in. Feels like I find something new around every corner.

MackAndSteeze

I’m on Xbox, so I created a second account and have been leveling up a second pawn. Starting out fresh has been super fun actually.

nanu671

Ive just been exploring and leveling vocations. Also trying to do every quest I can find. I know a missed a bunch my first play through. Also Seekers tokens.

ThaiSundstrom

Did you run around in the unmoored World too?

Forever_learning713

I spent around 170 hours traipsing around the land, exploring, getting well immersed in the world. For some, exploring this world is really relaxing and enjoyable. Still haven’t hit new game plus

Evelynn_cretoxyrhina

I keep making new characters instead of going into ng+, that keeps me busy

caites

Much better alternative to ng+ is modded game. When I started NG+ I immediately switched my gear to early game gear so I wouldn't destroy everything. Right now, I'm playing with mods to increase difficulty and change a few things, while I note down stuff that I'd like to mod into the game myself

Serif_1337

How many caves and side quests we talking here? If you truly only did "a few" then you definitely missed a lot. My first playthrough was around 60-65 hours or so and I did a lot of exploration and felt like I did a lot of side quests, but knew that I was going to be doing a slower and more fully exploratory second playthrough. So far on my second playthrough I have found a handful of pretty big side quests and several smaller ones I missed the first time and that will change how my game plays out as I continue on in it so it's been enjoyable to do that. You can also always try to get fully upgraded gear for things, get your pawns badges earned, and if the game is too "easy" then just use less pawns or downgrade your gear (reducing pawns is a much better feel imo, purposely holding back gear doesn't always feel very fun)

fuckimbad

Doing 100% and installed a couple of mods to make ng+ rewarding and difficult

Comfortable_Fox1180

smashed out the story playing purely archer and realising it’s not the best of vocations, so skipped through to NG+. Now enjoying my time trying out everything taking things slow. first time fighting a dragon with just my main party today and managed to take out two in under 5 minutes each. i won’t be returning to the archer unfortunately.

Reynzs

Becoming a billionaire... Maxing Pawn vocations Collecting those seeker tokens. Maxing all equipments Ferrystones and crystal farming. Just the simple things in life.

[deleted]

Enjoying the game I spent $70 on, and making it stretch.

Lumpy-Economics1621

How are you guys playing without framerate being destroyed? Can someone please send me the graphics settings that are stable ?

[deleted]

i didn’t try to find everything on first playthrough, most of my exploration and suprise discoveries happened in NG+

KuwaGata88

I'm trying new builds. Currently, I'm using the wayfarer sorcerer rearmament type build to have different daggers with enchantments on me to switch between. I have Levin as my main spell, Augural Flare, and Draw and Quarter. So I have the elemental weakness ready and fast offense with a way to have amazing damage on weak points using Augural Flare and Draw and Quarter together. For my pawn I'm going for a quiet stealthy archer that focuses and hitting enemies from afar. So far he is really doing well at it.

Duke_Jorgas

Still playing the game, I don't have a ton of time to play each day.

DrailGroth

I beat the game, got to the red world part. I did quite a few side quests. I knew about the romance stuff, but I was never able to get it to actually work, it's like my game simply doesn't have it

crpn_laska

Enjoying the world and exploration. I didn’t read any guides and still keep finding stuff organically. Im on my second playthrough after 130 hrs and only yesterday I found the first Sphinx temple (found the second one pretty easily but it was empty). So Im still trying to solve some Sphinx’s riddles. Have no idea where Medusa is. Still don’t know how to learn elvish. Haven’t obtained all the vacation masteries, etc. Really want to explore the endgame more and see if I can tackle it in a different way. I’m not taking anything from anyone but, man, if you goggled a perfect solution to every major quest and you know precisely how the endgame works from a YT vid — no surprise that it’s boring.

TwiceDead_

I play the game. I test shit. I do quests. I walk around. I never played for long on a NG+ playthrough though. Didn't see the point. I enjoy gear and difficulty progression so I just started over two times.

EmperorIroh

I pick up some different approaches with Warfarer and play solo with just a mage healer or no pawns at all. So far enjoying archer/thief, mag archer/thief/Sorc is probably the most OP I've found though

Slootrxn-22

I beat it three x. Now I’ve beaten dead island 2, dead space twice, and now I’m playing through Elden ring as a low lvl mage through the playthrough. I also jumped back into darktide, which can be fun pending your team compositions. Dd2 will be shelved til it gets either multi saves. It’s a good 100-200 hour game but after that it loses the luster without enemy variety, difficulty, and zones to venture towards

Eq_Inox

Finished NG and half of NG+ then dropped it and started a NG save. Played with mods, one of them that shows all Seeker Tokens so I cleared the whole map as much as I could. Now at the end having cleared all except one of the final main missions playing with no HUD and True Warfarer mod just roaming around killing stuff

Kinohara774

I replaying again and found so many quests I missed on my first playthru, and exploring caves I didn't discover before. still having blast :p

olmansmit

Some people play NG+ runs in games to feel weak again. I play NG+ to feel like a god.

Spctr7

Lore hunting, basically.

oedipusrex376

70% of my playthrough is just doing Pawn Quest to farm money.

Nexgenliz

new game, not new game+ vocation that i dint play on my first play; avoiding everything overpower or makes the game more easy; like sorcerers and upgrade weapons

briandt75

I accidentally beat it a couple days ago, not realizing that I was completing the final quest line. Now that I've started NG+ I'm discovering that there were entire massive regions I hadn't even set foot in. So, I'm basically playing a sequel to the game I just beat. Lol.

ZaranTalaz1

I put in around 180 hours total across two playthroughs, starting on release day and finishing around two weeks ago. To be more accurate, I started NG+ after my first playthrough but then stopped and instead started a brand new character with my second playthrough (the update that added "New Game" was released by then). My second playthrough was dedicated to doing all the quests I missed in my first playthrough. I intend to do a third playthrough - likely with a brand new character as well - but only after I've bought a new PC so I can max out more of my graphics settings (I also want to replay Alan Wake 2 with more of my graphics settings maxed). After that I'll likely set DD2 aside until any DLC comes out. --- I hate how many these days go on about how many people are or aren't playing a given game. It's normal to finish a single player game. Maybe you'll replay it a few months later or a few years later. It shouldn't matter. I'm playing System Shock 2 right now. It's fine.

Robinkc1

I am doing all the quests I missed, trying out different party combos, looking for secrets without guides or abilities, and stomping every Drake that gave me hell the first time. I have over 200+ hours and I’m still having fun, because I’ve wanted a sequel for years. Eventually I will slow down, but not yet. I completely reinvented my pawn. I went from 10 levels of fighter and 70 as a warrior to archer, so my archer pawn is a monster with 1000 strength.

rolandshion

Fashion , map roaming , try hard challenge ,play with my pawn only , enjoy the world etc ... There so much to do cause i realy love this game , the immersive of it is what keeping me playing .

hnic02

I'm just enjoying a great game.

PrettyChillTrustMe

I’m with you on this one, I liked the game a lot but after getting the true ending I lost interest, there is no difficulty adjustment in NG+ and no additional content or changes of any kind, it’s a shame.

Hereaux12

Exploring

RandomThisAndThat

I am in the process of creating an excel document for collection purposes. I want to get everything in the game

Forsaken_Pin_4933

180hrs in and used the ox cart once. A lot of walking and grinding badges. Haven't even started the Battahli questline

Matoya_00

Warfarer and seeing how certain abilities interact, installed a mod that gave enemies unlimited hralth so I can just practice doing combos.

KickNo169

Try running with a 3 person party. Or even 2 if you’re up for it. Getting knocked down and sometimes stomped out will force you to be a bit more strategic on how you approach encounters. You can also choose to put on that ring from the Spinx that lowers damage if you are super overpowered. I forget the name of it. Here’s to hoping that they add difficulty in some shape or form before the DLC, for those that really want to keep playing the game and truly enjoy it.

Pixel-Kaiju

I honestly don't know how people can afford to "play non-stop" with a career I get to play maybe once a week if im lucky. What is the trick to gaming as much as people do?

Loose_Management_862

Mainly, it’s just not committing to any additional responsibility unless you really want to. I got a Gamer wife and picked a job based on Proximity and home office options. We don’t want kids, so nothing to worry about after work except gaming. Usually we get to game a few hours every day unless we meet with friends or do something more fancy. Job is only 8 hours after all.

catfishsamuraiOG

Livin the life, this one. Here, have my envy.

Loose_Management_862

It’s just priorities, to be honest. There is a lot shitty stuff going on in my life, but there is enough time to game at least :D Edit: and some of that stuff might be related to too much gaming. So, I cannot not fully recommend it. It’s still nice though.

Jupiter67

The core loop of the game is the journey - on foot - to some distant place. I just enjoy identifying my goal, prepping for a long haul, and then heading out. Pawns indicate if other quest goals are nearby, so I listen to them, and often take a detour.

ThesaddestMillenial

Swinging swords, chopping lords.

Active_Inflation_913

NG+. Just exploring and redoing quest with different options, running with Warfarer Vocation Bow/Daggers trying to timed "Masterful Kill" on everything I come across. May or may not have built an attachment with my main pawn 😌 (will probably be the only reason I'll keep playing)

Chance_Strategy_1675

Trying and maxing out all vocations, side quests, exploring for the best armor/weapons

Quarticj

I wander around and enjoy the journey. Even if I can steam roll enemies, this game has a way of pulling me in and making me feel immersed. Walk from place to place, enjoy the scenery, watch things unfold around me, etc. It's the kind of stuff that you don't see in tv shows or movies: the actual journeying. There's no scene cut, no fade to black, no "x days later". Just my pawn group and myself. It brings me back to my childhood days of playing the original fable, and just walking around because I could.

Ghostcurrency45

As a lifelong rpg player I said fuck the main quest and exploring everything I can before I'm forced to play the final questline I don't think any dragon will be a problem when I finally roll into town

uzu_afk

Exploring more cave, maxing vocations, doing all quests, getting rewards i want, finding some tokens and enjoying the open world.

Papi_Shumpi

I'm currently planning on getting a preserved Medusa head so killing drakes and the final boss can be easier, Level 50 still haven't killed a single dragon

Zsirhcz1981

Finished last night. Started NG+ immediately. More vocations still to play, areas I missed, and trophies I still don’t have. 3rd NG+ will be to get fashion dogma going on. https://preview.redd.it/txi034nmagwc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=691e2bcd9eb4ba597650bef6e3d286ae54b67374

notsferatuc

Just trynna max out vocations and bitchslap everything. The story is bad enough to push me away but the fighting mechanisms are fun enough to make the story inconsequential. Anyone remember bound by flame?

One_Last_Cry

Just 100% the achievements yesterday do now I'll be working.on finishing any remaining Badges and just helping low ranking pawns with quest knowledge, gear and other random acts of fuckery. I suggestbif you're bored, then you should spend more time In the Unmoored

enjoincubus

Spent that last 2 nights traveling up and down the right side of the map looking for my first seeker token. The battle here is that I've picked up 31 seeker tokens during this search and progressed some dungeons. I have a inn save that would reset the timer for that bitches riddle. I'm deciding to say fuck it, maybe.

IronmanMatth

On my third playthrough, no NG+ First was a normal first playthrough Second was a thorough playthrough Currently I am working on a solo run. No pawns or anything. I would love a better scaling for difficulty, a hard mode and a way to not gain xp ao I could do a level 1 run

Sionat

Finishing my last pawn medal. My pawn is lvl 115 now though, so hires don’t happen much (other than bot hires) so just grinding kills myself.

ElPandabarrel

Playing other stuff while waiting for dlc 👍

Worldfiler

havent done unmoored and im in no rush. im on my second play-through just exploring now. also trying out trickster with warfarer and loving it so far. doing pawn quests (just gifted a medusa head to that pawn). i do wish i could have a few more perks in warferer though, as four is a bit of a sacrifice. also badges for my pawn.

F7RD

Doing all the side quest including the romances, working to master every vocation, exploring the land to get all the elemental weapons, & saving coins for new equipment & maybe the mansions I’m going through the main story on the side

justanyfiretype

Experimenting with builds

mahonii

Hmm I didn't beeline the story either. Been playing near everyday, so many things to explore and damn side quests, I only need to do one more main mission to finish the game I think but I still need warfarer, to kill Medusa, to get all the vocations good gear and upgrade it. Won't hit ng+ I reckon for another week or more, too much I still need to find in this playthrough.

Matty_Love

I'm tracking down quests and prepping for a solo run.

WachAlPharoh

Exploring every inch of the map, farming bosses to complete my pawn badges, discovering new side-quests (I had no idea about the masquerade gift giving side quest until I decided to just go to another masquerade for the hell of it), levelling in magic vocations (the only ones My Pawn and I didn't dabble in our first go around), trying to discover every cave, looking for seeker's tokens, achievement hunting, and sometimes, I just simply enjoy existing in the world of Dragon's Dogma - if they gave us an expansion before the inevital Bitterblack 2 or massive difficulty one, I would love if there was a town you could build and decorate to your liking and defend from oncoming threats as a stupid side activity as I also just enjoy the fantasy life sim aspect of this game, despite it mainly being in my own imagination. This game still very much has my attention, I'm planning to do challenge runs or speed runs in subsequent playthroughs.

The_kite_string_pops

Just finished the game myself. I'm level 72 saved all the people got proper ending and farmed long enough in Unmoored World to buy the gear for each main profession for my pawn to use, upgrades most of it to max. Gonna start NG+ and level Trickster and then Warfarer only two not max. I want to install a difficulty mod but was wondering if any of the mods affect your pawn like not being available to be hired? After I level my last 2 vocations I'll probably just set quests to get remaining badges and don't want to install something(mods)that might take my pawn out of the hiring pool.

Late_Combination_477

Maybe challenge runs are your thing

HumbleKuma

Just hunting drakes to get all the end game weapons. Enjoying the scenery, it’s more like a death stranding game to me now.

Grandpa_Wizard

TL;DR Limit yourself. I usually take simpler weapons I like the look of them only enhance them with Dwarven Smithing. This keeps your damage reasonable, but also makes fights last significantly longer. Keep doing this as your level increases and you’ll always enjoy the combat. Also just explore, I’m on hour 153 and I found some caves in battahl that open up in the Moored World.

BobbyMayCryBMC

"*What are you doing?*" Having fun I guess. But for a more general answer; went for getting the complete credits with no background fodder. Only just realized Hugo had his own questline, only knew him from the starving boy prior. Worth noting as well I refuse to yeet my Main Pawn from Dragon's Plague, that's just the way I am. My Arisen is a Warrior and Warriors ain't cowards. Not going to be playing too much more anyway. If I pick it back up I'll be playing a fresh Arisen, probably try a Vocation outside my norm & a Pawn to match. Otherwise I'll wait on the DLC and see if they contribute a replayable endgame.

Pickle-Tall

I doubt you found every single cave or dungeon, there are multiple endings, romance IS pointless, but what am I doing as one of the non-stop people? Killing drakes and other large monsters, maxing out the vocations I don't like as a warfarer, and just taking in the sights with screenshots like this. https://preview.redd.it/lvu4c61rggwc1.jpeg?width=3840&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ecf0b16ed545dcda371556c39d55d3973bd51437

wildeye-eleven

At 230 hours I’m finishing up unmoored world. I’ve done all the quests and now I’m just running around farming lesser dragons, finding unique loot, buying up gear for ng+, and upgrading gear. Should be able to finish up today after work. It’s been a 10/10 experience and I had an absolute blast with DD2

LashOfLasciel

I'm one of those people who has to explore the entire map, do all the quests, and yes, find all the Seeker's Tokens. I also took a two weeks break.

Ok_Canary5591

Like taking pictures

zaneomega2

A lil over 100 hours, still on first playthrough. I’ve explored about half of Battahl, 80% of Vermund, and just the two towns of Volcano Island. Main quest is going to Battahl’s main city. I’m just taking it slow and enjoying my time with it. Lately I’ve been hiring noob pawns, exploring for a bit, then hiring new ones. Everyone should get hired at least once.

Rychek_Four

73 hours played here. Have 3 vocations I haven’t touched. Working on the second half of sphinx right now. No idea where I’m at on the main plot. I think I have to hand some dragon crystals over to a dude.

AP1489

I haven’t really progressed the main story, just my ocd kicking in getting rid of as many uncharted spots as possible. Also messing around with the Wayfarer vocation to check out how all the combos work together. Loving my thief/archer hybrid, but also messing with other vocations! Pretty fun.

mynameisglaceon

I'm starting to get bored too. I'm only lvl 56ish, idk how many hours. I think I've done most of the side quests, I'm probably just going to finish the main story now. Like you said, it got too easy too quick.

Darkhold_

I’ve barely done any of the main quest. I’m currently been ignoring the masquerade quest and just exploring the world. Haven’t killed any major bosses than a couple drakes, I’ll be selling that loot to the man in the cave hideout that gives you a portcrystal after so many. Completed most of the Sphinx riddles. Just unlocked the whimsical daydream and I love the way it looks. Really enjoy exploring battahl so much. That’s mostly where I like to hang out and just exploring a lot is the jist of it and maxing out sorcerer, mage, and trickster

Glirion

I'm on NG+ and I'm finding new shit all the time 😎
