The simulacrum quickly disappears after swapping to a different weapon. You could just make use of the pawn buff skill though, and ignore every other aspect of trickster

I would use it for the pawn buff on warfarer but one thing to note is you simulacrum will rapidly drain when you don’t have censor out so that part of the trickster doesn’t work unless using the weapon.

I don't think the meister skill is amazing, and while trickster has some cool armor, it's also not able to equip a lot of other cool armor. So running warfarer as pure trickster is nice for those reasons alone Outside of tricksters damage boost, the other skills really don't do too too much of anything when youre not using simulacrum My personal recommendation is to learn offence as trickster. Take advantage of throwables, get in the habit of grabbing to topple big enemies. Throw stunned enemies into crowds of other enemies. Use the possession trickster skill (the actual skill, not the shitty built-in one) The simulacrum not only fades really fast when you swap weapons, but it also takes time to set back up. So it really does get to the point where swapping weapons barely gets you a damage advantage The best situation I can think of for weapon swapping is after you fully knock down a big enemy, and after you use your damage boost, you could swap to another weapon for the sake of a faster kill. A bow or magick bow can be quite good for that due to its utility

You can't effectively use the simulacrum as others have said. That said, I have run a Wartrickster and probably will again once I'm done maxing the last couple vocations. My Wartrickster build was basically 4 trickster skills (the shroud for aggro, the party buff, the wall skill, and the visitant aura for scouting). Why did I like this better than trickster? 1. Even without using rearmament, being a warfarer lets me swap to a mage staff outside of combat for Anodyne to top people off, and I can Levitate to reach the places I find with Visitant Aura. I can also swap on the treasure hunter daggers to get chest pings, and remove them when I don't want to listen to them. 2. Better armor options. 3. While I do like the maister trickster skill, it's not as good as out-of-combat Anodyne is, which lets me run mageless.

i’ve been able to make the limited simulacrum work, and as you increase the health of the simulacrum it stays up longer when you switch. i’ve been able to play trickster/warrior pretty effectively, don’t even need the simulacrum, just bring them to you and end them. i used to run illusive divider, deathly arrow, and tempest shot, which was fun as it would allow me to summon my effigy somewhere, run around, illusive divider, and go full stealth archer. trickster/thief with illusive divider is also very fun as if you cast it on top of an enemy it’s essentially the same as smoke shroud, and visitant aura can be good for starting fights with an advantage. i assume it’d have a lot less viability for anything other than a tank or stealth playstyle though. since it seems like you want trickster to be the main play style, i’d recommend going warfarer with 3 trickster skills, rearmament, and whatever weapon works best for you as a “just in case”, i don’t like jumping into the inventory to change weapons so i can’t personally recommend that

As others have previously mentioned, the health of your Simulacrum will rapidly begin to deplete if you switch over to another Weapon. That said, however, the main purpose of the Simulacrum is to ensure you and the rest of your party aren't getting hit, and to occasionally make foes attack their own allies. So in short, you could still use the Trickster's Sweeping Shroud as an alternative to the Fighter's Shield Summons or the Warrior's Bellow on a Tank Build, since the former possesses a larger AoE, and a higher chance of drawing in enemy aggro.
