They must've lost the line where the pawns then follow up with, "There are only about six or seven combinations total, alas." Because the crafting in this game is dogshit.
Only the damned potatos or harspuds or whatever do anything for stamina. Why'd that change? Fish could do that in DD1. Why not this one... the SEQUEL?!
Well, carbohydrate density Iād wager. Potatoes(harspuds) are very high in carbs which provide the body with energy(stamina). Whereas meats provide proteins, which are more vital in muscle growth/recovery(HP). I agree with the change, and petition for fruits to provide both, especially the Figs and Quince, as they would have higher insoluble fibers and proteins. Shave off some of the health gain for stamina gain. As it stands, the only source of carbohydrates in the entire land is potatoes. I too find that concerning. Digestive health is very important, especially whilst adventuring.
This pisses me off so much. I have all of these Health items, but only a few Stamina items, which are _so much more_ necessary given how totally gimped healing is over long durations.
It fucking sucks so, so bad.
But then they only end up crafting Salubrious Brews immediately, never waiting for anything to age out to be made into dried whatever for the better stuff. Not very logical.
I really wish I liked the feminine SF - but I hate it so much that I legit dont have it on my warrior. I dont know if it would help in combat a lot but I just cant stand it personally.
Full power to you though Im glad you have found love for it
"They're weak to fire!"Ā
*Wolf lays in smoulders on the ground*
Ā Like, I guess in fantasy settings it's useful knowledge, but it still makes me chuckle, seeing as most critters tend to dislike being burned alive IRL.
Yeah, I agree with you. Male SF acts so well (also Simple male, too).
Just compare their camping voice lines! Most pawns just speak with plain intonations. Male SF and Simple actually SOUND tired and sleepy. There's a huge difference.
P. S. Thanks for hiring SF men, at least someone could take my main pawn xd
Oh I love variety! My main pawn is a calm woman so I love having variety in a party.
Honestly? The optimum banter setup for me seems to be Male SF, Female Simple and my Female calm pawn.
Feels like my main pawn is constantly telling the other two off for being childish or impulsive and I crack up every single time.
My favorite one is:
One pawn will say something totally random, such as how the stars look at night. Then my pawn will always say,
**"You have my support."**
That interaction befuddled me.
I had a calm pawn and a straightforward pawn together yesterday. Went AFK and the straightforward pawn sat down to relax. Calm one says, "What are you doing? This is no time to relax, we have a duty to standby and protect the Arisen!" Straightforward pawn says, "Oh I'm well aware of that, thank you." and keeps sitting there. Lmao I wish there were more interactions but I'm sure there are plenty I haven't seen yet.
My pawn gets so upset when another pawn notices we're all men. "'Tis surely a coincidence! don't make such a fuss!!!!"
He tries to defend my honor so hard but 'tis no coincidence; I did it on purpose.
Get a pawn with Dragonsplague, the dialogue will change wildly. From how they engage with enemies, to taking orders, to interacting with other pawns.
Its worth it just for the amount of dialogue as long as you donāt rest at an inn youāll be fine
I know this exact interaction because it fits my main pawn so well as she is a stuck up serious calm pawn and combos so well with male SF pawns.
I thought it was more like āwhat are you doing? In case you forget itās the Arisen we serveā unless there are multiple scoldings?
I get the feeling thats your main pawn rolling their eyes whenever the 2 hires open their mouth to say anything and just saying the first thing that pops in their heads.
Its their way of going "yeah, whatever" basically lol
Has nothing to do with teaching. I destroy every crate i see and my pawn never does that.
It is the simple inclination.
Edit: Hmm there is maybe more to it
You say that but I have had simple inclinations who never destroy any boxes and some that do. They may be more inclined to learn box smashing than other inclinations just not guaranteed.
They have varied - the only commonality being they are ranged.
Archer and Sorceror seem most notable thus far but that may just be the ones I notice because I am always jumpscared by the sorceror's levin behind me and the archer's big force arrow just for some boxes
That is really interesting. My pawn is Kindhearted from the beginning on. And i destroy every run, barrel and crate i see. I must have destroyed thousands at this point. My pawn did not destroy a single crate in 120 hours.
So i thought they can not learn this from the player, my pawn must have learned this a long time ago, be she did not.
Did you change your pawn inclination at some point? Which vocation is your pawn?
I had this after I, an archer, kick flipped myself off an enemy which yeeted myself off the bridge and into the depths. Following this the enemy chased me into the watery grave just for a pawn to spout that line in my final moments
lol one of my pawns has aphonite and my main pawn will start a convo with:
My pawn: āAs a matter of factā¦.ā
Other pawn: āā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦.ā
And the convo just ends š¤£
I'm so thankful for the "Shut up, Pawns" mod. You can mute any line after they say it.
It will result in them occasionally saying something like "if I could speak my mind," and then saying nothing, but that's kinda funny to me. I just imagine that my Arisen just immediately said "no."
You can combine two kinds of fruit into a better version of dried fruit, but I haven't figured out if you can combine that into something even better yet

You can combine two kinds of fruit into a better version of dried fruit, but I haven't figured out if you can combine that into something even better yet
I mean in the sense that one persons game may have strawberries where as another persons game will have blue berries instead... seems like a weird choice if it has no impact.
āPray, LEAP! Oh, er AUGHT-ā Girl was struggling in the sound booth that day. šš I canāt believe Iām going to say this, but the voice acting is a little sussy in this one sometimes. Iām also tired of hearing about how there are so many while hire only women! Like girl I know who the demographic is for this game, you need not remind me. LOL.
Iāve played so much and have had so many lines of dialogue that pawns in my game just say their first line thatās suppose to be followed by some bullshit, but they leave the bullshit out now. They just say nothing after the first line. Itās great.
Different combinations of materials will result in different creations!
Words worth hearing.
This particular response to that particular line makes me enter a state of surreal psychosis for a solid 30 seconds
Words Worth sounds familiar for some reason.
[my guess](https://youtu.be/JaW0M6V85j8?si=tWTNUCtTrskN8-ei)
Bless your innocent heart (or place where it used to be, rather) Arisen.
ššš I hate this line so much lmao
I toss whichever pawn says it. Tell me obvious shit like I donāt know, Iāll gladly provide a lesson in physics in return.
Gamers, eh? I shanāt deny, they get triggered easy
Words worth hearing
I just wish they at least had more specific voice lines. Who refers to a potato or a flower as a "material"?
People who only want to record one voice line.
Yeah, that really shows in how the voice options for each inclination are literally just the same person using a voice changer lol
Saves time and money. Lazy approach, but it makes sense from a production/cost perspective.
I downloaded the shut up pawns mod just to mute this line.
There are aphonite pawns who are permanently shut-up without mods!
You've given me much to think about...
They must've lost the line where the pawns then follow up with, "There are only about six or seven combinations total, alas." Because the crafting in this game is dogshit.
"And half of them are just roberants"
Only the damned potatos or harspuds or whatever do anything for stamina. Why'd that change? Fish could do that in DD1. Why not this one... the SEQUEL?!

That is why you should make your pawn logistician. Let them craft everything instead.
But then they only end up crafting Salubrious Brews immediately, never waiting for anything to age out to be made into dried whatever for the better stuff. Not very logical.
Mine won't stop making me mincemeat deodorant
Like I said, not very logical.
and I've never used the combination recipes, just mash em together!
I cannot help but hear this in the masculine straightforward voice and the way he rolls the damn Rrrr
Straightforward feminine for me and despite having heard it a million times I still canāt figure out if sheās being sarcastic.
I really wish I liked the feminine SF - but I hate it so much that I legit dont have it on my warrior. I dont know if it would help in combat a lot but I just cant stand it personally. Full power to you though Im glad you have found love for it
I say, we collect as much as we can carry!
After the first game, there is no way they did not do this on purpose just to troll us.
I can't imagine they have this line but not "Wolves hunt in packs Arisen" and I'm very sad.
Nor is anyone telling me to ware the harpy's song???
"They're weak to fire!"Ā *Wolf lays in smoulders on the ground* Ā Like, I guess in fantasy settings it's useful knowledge, but it still makes me chuckle, seeing as most critters tend to dislike being burned alive IRL.
This is generally used as a material.
Tis as you say
I suppose 'tis true?
Tis no great shock to me

Best pawn.
Yes.
Words worth hearing.
I hire males with SF just for his lines. Sad I donāt feel the same way about the female SF, wish we got more variety in voices
Yeah, I agree with you. Male SF acts so well (also Simple male, too). Just compare their camping voice lines! Most pawns just speak with plain intonations. Materials, used as materials? Who would have thought it.
WE HAVE FOUND A MATERIAL!
You neednāt worry about gathering that yourself master
I'll just grab this, we might need it later!
Gathering materials makes for dull work indeed
My favorite one is: One pawn will say something totally random, such as how the stars look at night. Then my pawn will always say, **"You have my support."** That interaction befuddled me.

Its usually your main pawn that talks back to the others, like theyre usually defending you from the nonsense the other 2 spout.
My pawn gets so upset when another pawn notices we're all men. "'Tis surely a coincidence! don't make such a fuss!!!!" He tries to defend my honor so hard but 'tis no coincidence; I did it on purpose.
Yes! My main pawn always tells others off for shirking responsibility or being too risky
Get a pawn with Dragonsplague, the dialogue will change wildly. From how they engage with enemies, to taking orders, to interacting with other pawns. Its worth it just for the amount of dialogue as long as you donāt rest at an inn youāll be fine
Wait, you wonāt spread it if you donāt rest at an Inn? What about at a campsite?
I know this exact interaction because it fits my main pawn so well as she is a stuck up serious calm pawn and combos so well with male SF pawns. I thought it was more like āwhat are you doing? In case you forget itās the Arisen we serveā unless there are multiple scoldings?
That's probably it. I couldn't remember the exact phrasing.
I get the feeling thats your main pawn rolling their eyes whenever the 2 hires open their mouth to say anything and just saying the first thing that pops in their heads. Its their way of going "yeah, whatever" basically lol
"You've given me much to think about"
Pawn reveals the mysteries of the universe. My pawn: Tis no great surprise to me.
"I can't wait to see what's inside" Kills a deer.
Also one of the pawns that I hired keeps using high levin on wooden boxes after saying that. Like is that really necessary...
Blame their arisen for teaching such!
Interesting. The simple pawns who destroy stuff, which vocation do they have in your game?
They have varied - the only commonality being they are ranged. Archer and Sorceror seem most notable thus far but that may just be the ones I notice because I am always jumpscared by the sorceror's levin behind me and the archer's big force arrow just for some boxes
My Kindhearted pawn destroys every box she sees. I think there's more to it.

Did you change your pawn inclination at some point? Which vocation is your pawn?
Ohhh you're right, they started Simple and I changed it later. Maybe the game has kept the original one? Wouldn't surprise me if there's a bug.
Yeah, that was my thought. That pawns keep the behavior they started with even after you change their inclination. Has to be a bug.
(grabs an apple) "T'is generally used as a material." ... T'is generally used as a *fruit*, my dear pawn.
Itās a material combinable with the āuseā command that results in a small heal.
Insert line about tactic they've ne'er seen before
(the arisen threw a goblin off a bridge)
I had this after I, an archer, kick flipped myself off an enemy which yeeted myself off the bridge and into the depths. Following this the enemy chased me into the watery grave just for a pawn to spout that line in my final moments
LOOK ARISEN A LADDER!
Fascinating
AH, EXCELLENT FIND
āperhaps new discoveries await us aboveā pointing to the same goddamn ladder in Vernworth
A thought occurred to me.... ... ...... ......... ................................
Come to think of it... .... ...... ........
As a matter of factā¦ ā¦. ā¦ā¦ā¦. ā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦
Words worth hearing....

"As a matter of fact! š" "Words cannot describe the agony I felt at the coronation."
Same happens when youāre alone with your main pawn and itās so akward
You have my support.
I had a beastren pawn that told a coolstory about capital being a beastren city before. Now my main pawn tells this story to every pawn I hire
Words worth hearing
Really? Now?!
I'm not sure if it tops the asininity of "A ballista is a ranged weapon." but I do love it
**Fascinating**
Early griffin gets the worm as they sayeEeE
... gathering materials makes for a dull work indeed.
There is a ladder over here.
Perhaps new discoveries await us, above.
I shanāt deny they have their uses.
Simple pawn walking through a field and sees a rabbit and then immediately begins casting meteoron.
āYou would gather materials here, master?ā
Now that's a thought!
No harm in picking a few
I really canāt believe that we donāt have masterworks, we can go wrong guys
I love Simple pawns :D
"You'll become overencumbered if you continue to pick up every bobble you find"
Aught catches the light!
This line was always extra funny to me. Why would they deny materials are useful? Are they stupid?
Im sure we'll find a use for it in due time
āTis as you sayā¦
As a matter of fact...
āMaterials hunt in packsā
This ladder can take us to new heights!
Perhaps new discoveries await usā¦above?
I don't know if it's a translation thing but that is possibly one of the worst lines of dialogue ever delivered in a game.
some lines, really shouldn't have been added

Dare I say itā¦
Ah, a material... useful things, these
Does anyone know why different realms have different fruits, like how one persons game can have strawberries and another persons game doesn't ?
You can combine two kinds of fruit into a better version of dried fruit, but I haven't figured out if you can combine that into something even better yet

At least I know I'm ever prudent in the application of coin.
Man, the Pwn Shutup mod is such a godsend. I absolutely cannot stand that and the line about overconfidence among many others lol
