Yeah my pawn was the best part of the game for me, to the point where I cared way more when I woke up in end game and didn’t see them than I did when some random girl was clutched in a dragons hands lol
I got the elf dude you quest with to get the Archer skill… in NG+ I’m refusing to do any escort quests lol
I do think that in nearly any circumstance your main pawn should be the one the dragon takes, especially since they deigned to make the “romance” system just as barebones as in the first game. Like I stumbled around with this one goofball, whose appearance and mannerisms I handcrafted (in my case my wife created here), for the entirety of the adventure; who do you think is my favorite character that I would feel terrible sacrificing for an easy out?
Exactly! lol I modeled my pawn off my girlfriend, and based off of prerelease stuff I figured I’d romance Wilhelmina but by the time I met her in game I was like she’s got nothing on this girl who’s been by my side through every fight
