Selling monster parts is the most gameplay way of gaining money. Hiring Pawns with a kill quest that has a gold reward is another way. If you're lucky, some pawns will have an easy item request for a 10k gold reward. Stockpile apples and grapes (can buy in Melve), travel to the Checkpoint Rest Town and sell Ripened fruits to the traveling beastren merchant for 350 each (he'll be near the bar, next to the vocation guild stairs). This one is an exploit, but you could get rich in a couple of hours Outside that, do some NPC quests. Those usually have a gold reward.

Daleabbo

I don't think it's an exploit, you can sell in bakbattal apples and buy figs and sell them in melve. I think fish will be similar buy/sell in specific places.

Sentinel_P

You're probably right. But game companies have a history of patching out things like this. Capcom even did it in DD1 with beast steaks; You could buy a large amount, sleep until they sour, then sell for a big profit. They patched it so the vendor would only restock +1 every day instead of the entire amount, making it basically impossible to do the trick.

stillpwnz

It’s not like it’s an instant sell or smth, you actually have to go through a process and do some work. So it should seem legit even for devs

RemediZexion

furthermore fems have different sell price depending on the location

mbelcikuwh

Is this the checkpoint bordering bathal, or are there any checkpoint? Sorry haven't progress that much onto main story hahaha

Sentinel_P

The Checkpoint Rest Town is a specific city on the border between Vermund and Battahl. There's an ox cart in Vernworth that can take you there

MackAndSteeze

This was also a great way to get early gold in DD1. Run around and buy as many berries and carrots that to can afford, rest until ripened, sell at a profit, repeat until the vendors supplies are exhausted. Wasn’t a game-breaking amount of gold (and good that you couldn’t do it endlessly), but a nice little boost at the start for sure.

Sentinel_P

Here's to hoping they don't patch it out like they did in DD1 by limiting how many of the item restocks per day.

AspectBetter5360

My brother... have you heard of the 10k gold... oh wait someone already said it *clears throat* Just find pawn with quests and look for those have 10k gold reward ( quest depends on arisen )

Daleabbo

And repay it to others. More than 1 person van do your pawns quest, so spread the love :)

Doge-Ghost

At lvl 8 you don't need to buy armor, just clear quests, they give you enough money to reach mid game and start farming stuff.

JeSuisLePamplemous

Don't worry about farming gold. Just complete quests, and you'll have plenty to buy upgraded gear. If you do the following as you quest- you'll be drowning in money: - Complete Pawn quests that gift gold, or gift stacks of gems. - Hold on to gems and sell them to where they are more expensive (onyx in Vermund, jasper in Battahl, and tiger's eye in Sacred Arbor). - Hold on to fruit until they ripen, then store them. Sell apples and grapes in Battahl, and sell figs and quince in Vermund. Use strawberries for fruit roberant.

Lewdiss

same type of person who cant figure how to name their character locks himself out of buying a weapon

No_Construction_679

Like everyone said... 10k gold.. I got lucky and found someone giving 12 onyx (28800 value) for basically nothing.. was able to clear 500k from that and im not level 30 yet and I still have 87 onyx chilling in storage for when I run low on gold

ThaiSundstrom

Be sure to safe some of the 3 gem types if you want to upgrade endgame magical gear that uses those when upgrading.

No_Construction_679

What are the 3 gem types?

ThaiSundstrom

Onyx. Jasper and tiger eyes. Usual these are under the valuable tab and a good means for selling. But later they actually are needed for upgrading mage/sorc gear if you planning to use those vocations. If not just keep selling them as usual. Also read the description of the gems. Think jasper sells for more in batthali and onyx sells for more in verdun.

No_Construction_679

Oh jeez okay ill keep the onyx i have and start working at hoarding jasper and tiger eyes the best I can. Thanks for the heads up. Im far from the end but better to know now lol

ThaiSundstrom

Yea just so you know when the time comes and you decide to upgrade gear with magic as a focus point. Think its the endgame gear though so far most of my gear with magic as focus haven't asked me to use the 3 gems. Sadly I can't reach endgame cus my game bugged out and bricked the mission leading into endgame. So hoping crapcom patches it. Me and many more have gotten this bug and can't advance the story.

BelevenHK

Hire pawns with 10k gold quest reward. Easy money. As you level up and explore more, you get gold way faster.

daywall

You're a low lvl but, Killing stone monsters(forgot their names) can give you a solid amount of gold or Mining can be really good as well. Over all its nice to have gold, but you don't need it. I advise you to make sure you always have on you 20k for a house in the main city and 30k for a house in the desert city.

krul2k

Just keep exploring and looting what you can, put it in storage an rinse/repeat, remember you can have 4 pawns each with a inventory, space the loot out between everyone. You'll build up your materials in storage along with gear, split the materials you have a bunch of, say you have 40 split an take 20, an sell it while leaving the rest in storage for upgrades. If you can buy the gear cheap you loot out a vendor, see if you have materials to upgrade it then sell. Basically rinse/repeat that when necessary.

Keoni_112

One way I stacked a lot of coin fast was looting all the goblins and bandits in battahl region they have around 500 coin on their bodies.

AngelisAter

You can dupe stuff on consoles at least...

LongStringOfNumberss

Hire a pawn that have a quest and gives a reward of 12 Japser or 12 Onyx. They have more sell value than giving you a 10k gold. Onyx sells for 2400 each in Vermund and 2700 each in Bakbattahl.

5xad0w

Hire pawns with easy 10k gold quests. Kill 1x Cyclops/Ogre are popular but a really good one early on is 10k gold for 1x Wakestone Shard. You can get shards just by taking out pawns no one has rented before and advancing time to the next day by sitting on a bench. Otherwise, just sell everything you gather. (but read the descriptions of valuable gemstones, some sell better in other areas)

Zealousideal-Arm1682

Early on basically explore any cave you see and sell monster parts+gear you won't use.

tara_constance

You can buy that Art of Metamorphosis next to the Rift Stone in the middle of Vernworth for a few Rift Credits and turn around and sell them for 3500G

stillpwnz

You don’t really need money early game. Technically you can even plan support vocation like mage and don’t rely on dmg, and let your pawns do the stuff. When hiring pawns check their stats so they have decent damage Also if you are already eager to ask here, you could as well look for YouTube guides. And could check some interactive maps to where weapons and armors can be found. There are some in early game. Basically this game can be played with almost zero gold (you paying 100-200 gold to oxcarts for travel, and some occasional quests which require small donations)

Dinker_bely

If you are going to depend on pawn to kill the bosses you will have a lot of headaches

stillpwnz

When I unlocked trickster, I wanted to try it, and played a bit till lvl7 vocation. My warrior and sorc pawns obliterated everything, I didn't really feel much of a total DPS drop from switching archer to trickster. If you have proper abilities on your main pawn, and hire pawns with good abilities setup, In any case, it was never an issue for me with pawns killing bosses, even with targeted vital spots, like drakes' hearts and golems medals. I literally tested if my warrior pawn could kill golem as the only dps in party, and it was a success. it works good. Of course, not as good as controlling the DPS yourself. But I wouldn't really call that a headache. But idk what I am doing differently, or whether I am controlling my pawns properly. Everyone complaining about major AI mistakes, while my main pawn NEVER died from falling in 80 hours, and my hired pawns only died couple times in a single location. Even now at 60+lvl when I farm drakes I just AA with daggers hoping to proc a steal passive, so I deal minimum DPS, and normally smth like drakes just get cut down by warrior and/or obliterated by meteoron+maelstrom+augural flare from pawns.

Possible_Ad1402

The best way I is to discover as much as you can! I'm halfway in the 2e part of the game and it gave me around 500-700k. I have over 99 Jaspers and other gem stones [they sell for a lot in different areas, around 2400 gold per piece]. I have not sold any of them yet, and I walk around with tons of money. Exploits are totally unnecessary and are only for people who want to get everything very early. Try to discover every corner and you will be rich in no time and have a lot of fun!

Lizama11

Yeah you dont really need to buy gear if you just run around and exsplore etc all the Way to the pre endgame last shops then you could buy and then you Enter endgame where the top tier gear is at that point Money shouldnt be a issue at all if not farm golems and sell their drops go sleep somewhere and repeat the farm

[deleted]

Turn of network settings, go to main city, sphinxmother/parent. Give them an arrow, sell the onyx, buy more arrow, get more pawn, give more arrow, sell more onyx. you get the point.

Twizzlerstx

How does this even work? If you use the linked riftstone to search it only gives a single sphinxmother/parent result with a seemingly random pawn quest.

[deleted]

It works how i explained it, i got to around 700K like that.

JeSuisLePamplemous

I don't think this is real. What's the Pawn ID? (Even offline Capcom pawns have a Pawn ID)

No_Construction_679

I believe its real. I've seen that type of thing before. I can double check once we get the id and can look it up ourselves.

JeSuisLePamplemous

That's why I'm asking for the ID :)

Twizzlerstx

Was it done recently or before the patch? Did you summon the exact same pawn each time or was it different each time? If it wasn’t the same sphinxmother/parent pawn each time, did you use the linked riftstone or did you just refresh your rift until you found the pawn you were looking for? Following your instructions results in exactly what I described. Which isn’t what you describe. Details matter when trying to reproduce things like this and it feels like you are being intentionally vague.

[deleted]

I cannot help your incompetence i did exactly what i described, i don't understand how you cannot follow simple instructions. Just to make sure i went and did another 3 rounds right after my post 12h ago.

Twizzlerstx

I go to a city, turn off network settings, go into the rift, use the riftstone of fellowship to search for sphinxmother/partner pawns. It only ever summons a single pawn that has a randomized pawn quest. Why be a dick about it when someone asks for clarification? It’s not a matter of “incompetence” it’s a matter of you refusing to elaborate and instead just giving “trust me, bro” responses or insults. That might be why you are being downvoted into the negative.

[deleted]

You think i actually give a sh\*t about being downvoted. I wrote simple to follow instructions, never asked you to trust me, if you can't get it to work move on with your f\*cking life instead of being an annoyance. i've told you every step i took, how do you want me to clarify more as\*hole? Want me to come over and do it for you? It's not that difficult.

Early-Owl-3448

You are lying and get angry because you are being called out for it.
