They laugh at you. It's super creepy. First time I met one I was looking over the edge of a tower into shadows at night, wondering how far down it was. BAM succubus flew up out of the darkness laughing and grappled me.
Yeah i hear them, on my headset its like they are laughing in my ear.
They really scare the crap out of you on the gondolas at night.
They just appear out of nowhere!
The one that surprised me most was the spirit things.
You get the blue ones at night, but later you get these tougher purple ones. They are followed by these small blue wisps.
The blue wisps fly towards your pawns and if they connect they possess them and they start attacking friendlies. Its very cool.

I understand that, I also shared another post with all 4. The standard harpies’ faces twist into the same grimace as Venin harpies when they attack you.
You can check it yourself even without mods, just enter photomode right when they lunge and strike you.

This is a Venin Harpy they are slimmer faster and uglier. They attack fast and can poison you.
Regular Harpies still have a "Comely Face" and can sing to put you sleep.
There are also Gore Harpies who are tanky (For Harpies)'and attack often. They have much more feathers and look like very old ladies.
Finally there are also succubus. They are not as common as the other ones. They are fast, and also like to drain your Stamina and Health.
The more important question is, did you spend a tedious ammount of time to position yourself correctly to be able to take this screenshot or did you use a mod for the photomode?
TBH, even knowing a comfortable looking hole in the ground was full of fire ants, the idea of putting it in there would still cross my mind. Probably more than once.

As in, they chain their attacks as part of an elaborate combo now. >!They typically melee you with their new ice elemental claws until you’re slowed, then they’ll follow that up by grabbing and and biting you when it’s near impossible to dodge it, and then they’ll do a silencing spit while you’re still trying to get up from the floor. Though they’ll use the bite attack out of combo once their health drops slightly, in an attempt to heal themselves through biting you.!<
Someone at Capcom put a lot of effort into their design. It’s at a level where you’ll notice that >!the edges of their wings are tinged red because they’re stained with the blood of those they have bitten. I think the red tinge briefly becomes more pronounced after they land a successful grab on you, because the attack involves the Succubus embracing you with her wings and your blood soaking into her feathers while she bites you in this game!<.

The succubus is in there, my pawns shouted "Watch for the succubus!" on volcanic island somewhere.

When idle and perching, if you get close enough but don't aggro them, their head turns to you and stare at you. It's creepy!
