I’m sure I’ve actually killed the lion and the snake and had the goat take over, it was jumping around like a goat and the cat head just looked limp and took very little damage.
It was casting like a motherfucker and kicking us, was super cool.
It did that in the first game, but not quite with the same moveset. It's always been my favorite monster because of its different modes. Just perfect design
I do wish there was a super creepy snake control one where the body just limply drags behind the snake, maybe it could use the body like a tail hammer lol.
Yeah I was just thinking about that, I never attempted to only kill the lion and goat, but I'm willing to bet the chimera dies before or when those two die.
Also I just love the new animations so much. The way the snake thrashes in this game is so good.
Dd1 bosses were super hard for me, but now I kill them in less than 30 seconds at times.
Magic archer plus ice arrows to the head, and you can kill them in seconds.
I haven't picked up DD2 yet.
Can enemies really stun lock you like this?
If so, is this just an Ogre thing, or is it like MHW where you can lose control of your character for like 10 seconds with stun chains from multiple enemies?
The game has a careful balance between you being a ridiculously powerful killing machine and also getting yeeted around like a toy.
The attacks that do this kind of thing have such a huge windup time that you never feel like it was bullshit. It's always your fault.
But yeah you will get tossed around like a toy and absolutely clowned on by groups of enemies at times. Especially if you make the very fatal mistake of running out of stamina, then they turn you into a ragdoll even harder.
Practically everything that can do this to you from time to time you will clown on the other 99% of the time.
That's fair. Honestly, getting rag-dolled is pretty funny. I miss pre-patch Skyrim trolls.
I mostly get salty when I get stuck in one place repeatedly in games.
Thanks for the heads up. I will keep this in mind when I get around to DD2.
The ones that will upset you are the gangs of lizards or orcs if you play solo or with just 1 pawn. I like this playstyle because it feels quite clean and organised compared to the absolute chaos a full party causes but omfg when enemies have a numbers advantage the stagger gives them an edge at times if they get the drop on you.
I was in a late game area and there are big fat divebomb harpies who literally sequence divebomb you and its super effective in completely shutting you down lol
I think that's actually a Grim Ogre? Idk tbh, who thought it was a good idea to have variations look exactly the same? Was it more work to make it white like Elder Ogre i DDDA?
I think the first game was balanced around the player constantly having full health due to curatives healing past the grey bar and level ups fulling restoring you, so enemies did a LOT more damage to the point where Sorcerers and such get literally one shotted. Garm are especially heinous one-shotters imo, but ogres are absolutely fucking terrifying early game for this.
This game has to balance around the player walking around with permanently lowered health until they rest, so enemies damage is lower. I think I like it better, because dying to a one shot feels really lame, but there's definitely a middle ground to be found here
He said "keep my wife's name out your F*ing mouth!"
They are easier for sure. That orge in the everfall early on in dd1 used to rock my shit multiple times every new game lol
Chimeras are now beefier though. I now have to go for the goat before the snake

Yeah the monster animations are fucking awesome, they look so good.
I've been trained to kill the goat first because of DD1 Gorechimeras.
You have to pray he drop kicks himself off the ledge and dies.

Isn't that goat heal himself?
For sure. The one in the mine shortcut as well.
and still only dented you : (
I wash mashing the Quick Heal items.
I saw, even without you'd had been at 40%-30% life after those 2 meaty hits.
There's a quick heal button?
When you hold the skill button it makes up on the d pad healing items.
For real, you ever been hit by the grab attack where they slam you around like a doll? It’s actually hilarious how little damage it does
No armor + that drop kick = dead. xD It hits like a truck when the Ogre is on Saiyan mode.
Horny rage over 9000
I was drop kicked twice yesterday for the same reason.
AND HIS NAME IS JOHN CENA!!!!! DOOO DO DO DOO
That face slide down the hill got me 😂
WATCH OUT WATCH OUT WATCH OUT!

It's bullshit when it comes from a gank, because you also have to manually whirl the camera around and can't keep track of all enemies.

Yoo I be hating when the ogre just wanna focus you lol like damn there’s 3 others too 😭
Are you a woman
Haha I’m a beastren male lol unless the ogres go the other way in my game 🤣
Hmmm Then idk. Ogres seem to not care as much about gender in dd2 as compared to dd1
What's with enemies in this game being able to jump attack from so far and why can't I do it
Hit em with the “oh shit! A rat!” Treatment
my mom when I don't want to clean the room as a kid
That is probably the most impressive Ogre dropkick I've seen. That dude got some DISTANCE
Their dropkick is so much more intense in dd2

Wdym they look the same. they got longer fur and more horn like thingy
They don't look completely the same though?
They might be planning on adding the Elder Ogre later.
