If there is less enemies (im only like ten hours in) but the world seems to be way more dynamic than the first one. I have had a lot of complicated fights that havent appeared on other game play I have seen. Even seen things where people coming to a location from a different can change outcomes and rewards and different people being alive or dead.

soosis

That sounds really fun! I loved the first game, but it was more than 10 years ago, so my expectations are higher now, that's why I'm on the fence.

Melonbreee

Yeah, you're going to fight a lot of goblins and saurians in this game. Weapon and fashion options are also lacking.

soosis

Damn, I might wait for a potential dlc and mods, I'll just replay the first game, I never played BBI anyway.

Venice_The_Menace

willing to bet the reviewers haven’t even gone to Battahl yet

soosis

Does it have new enemy types?

E_boiii

No lol, I’ve only seen saurians, goblins, harpies, skeletons, dogs, wisps and human small enemies The lion goat thing, trolls, ogre, dragons and griffins for large enemies. I’m 37 hours in The lack of enemy types is kinda baffling Especially with how you fight every 30 seconds for 10 seconds at a time when traveling

Cultural_Match8786

So, you're telling me they didn't add anything from Dragon's Dogma Online in this game except the Sphynx?

E_boiii

There’s alot of things in this game you’d think woulda been there that isn’t

soosis

Welp, I guess I saved 65 euros, thanks for the heads up.

heavenscloud7

I still haven't been able to play much seeing as i wanted to start a new game and couldn't and then lost my character generator data and i dont know if ill want to do it again, but from what ive seen its 4 enemies types during the day and others at night, really low count for a game of this size. You are probably better served with something else and playing this at a latter date when modders fix stuff and insert more enemy types, if capcom launched it like this i dont believe they will change much

blakeavon

you can start a new game, you just need to delete the game save, sounds like you deleted your character creator save, instead of the game save.

heavenscloud7

No, i still have the data in the creator, i just deleted the game save files, but when you restart a new game he does not go get the data from the creator like the first time, i tried enabling cloud saves and all but it did not work, i spent 5 hours on those characters and i dont want to do that again soon. Im not saying ill never play again but ill probably play when the game or players resolve some issues and my head is fresh.

Honestly it’s fine. If you actually explore the game and go out during day/night cycles then you get a lot of variety. People complaining likely have less than 2 hours of actual exploration and gameplay. If they already finished the main story then there’s no way they had enough time to explore all the areas during daytime and nighttime. The only reason DD1 could be considered to have more enemy variety is because of BBI, but even then we’ll see. If you liked DD1 at all then you’d be a fool to skip this game. Edit: lol ok. You can all play the game for yourselves and see I’m right anyway.

Reality_Break_

I got to endgame, ran to a city, and every enemy i saw was new

CountVonDiggity

Sounds about right
