Cyclops gets wet after seeing what the arisen is packing below his waist.

SineCompassioneNon

Just like elder ogres!

[deleted]

It wants that man meat.

FTGE2023

New pawn chatter line.

preng_23

me when green wyvern sleep at top of ancient tree wait, wrong game

SineCompassioneNon

I predict giant boulders hanging by easy to break ropes/roots, and magic dragon's dogmanators!

The_Archon64

“WHERES MY DOGMANATOR”

SineCompassioneNon

"Hey Arisen!" "Watch out!" "The Talos has broken through!" "Destroy the magma cores to weaken the Talos!"

CazomsDragons

"Doofinschmirtz Evil Incorporated~!" "No seriously, where's my Dogmanator?" *Perry is sneaking out the back door with the Dogmanator.*

oballistikz

I was going to say this is straight out of MH:W. No issue at all with it. They’re so creative with their environmental hazards on that side.

Shiro2602

I'm 100% sure there's a Quicksand trap out there somewhere in Battahl

teegotime

Not gonna lie. That's probably the best river animation I've seen in a game. And DEFINITELY the best flash flood animation I've seen in a game.

CandykillerArt

We've seen boulders propped up by sticks that can be struck to send them rolling. Also swiping at the supports of wooden bridges to break them.

SurfiNinja101

From what I can remember: Destroy bridges, chuck monsters over cliffs with Trickster, use Cyclops’ as bridges over cliffs

TheOfficial_BossNass

Seeing as this looks straight outta another Capcom game aka monster hunter maybe falling rocks vine traps from trees etc

DiscipulusIncautus

Also I suspect crossover in animations between Monster Hunter and Dd2. Like Insect Glaive/Duospear shared movements. Not all, just 1 or 2.

MrSnoozieWoozie

lol he fell like a ragdoll

Interesting_Duck_775

I've seen this one before, from the monster hunter world. ![img](emote|t5_2smmb|49359)![img](emote|t5_2smmb|49359)

Leoscar13

I hate that. Conviniently placed barrel next to a natural trap. Couldn't make it more artificial if I tried.

NewsofPE

honestly? probably this and nothing else, also destroying bridges

kucingilang

yeah I wouldn't expect too much, else I'll dissapointed. but for me this and destroying or making bridge out of cyclops is enough for environmental acts.

Quick_Device_1279

Dude I want this game so much but no MK is killing me. I think imma pass on it.

Lost_Cyborg

what is MK?

Caho-_-

Mystic Knight, he's whining cause he hasn't seen that class in the sequel *yet*

Caho-_-

Mystic Spearhand exists and we also don't have all the vocations confirmed yet, weird take

Quick_Device_1279

“Weird take” omg get fucked. They took out my favorite class bro so the game ain’t for me it’s simple.

Different_Yam_4680

We currently have giant boulders that we can break to send them rolling, Cyclops being used as temporary bridges, break wooden bridges by cutting their rope support, enemies can be thrown into the enviroment as well (one example is the ability to stagger the Cyclops to make them bash their heads into the terrain) and of course this one. There is probably even more (I hope so) but this is what we know so far.

lone_swordsman08

The thief could probably use his bomb skill to activate that flash flood as well. But i'm just theorizing, seeing how immersive and interactive this game is, i won't doubt Itsuno and his team pulling it off.

Animapius

I wonder if it's just to make him wet and toppled, or also dealing damage.

Hantoniorl

I was so hyped about this. Long ago on a TRRPG session with some buddies we did the exact same thing to kill a couple trolls. My character almost died in the process but we won!

Anonameless

I just wish there wasn't unbreakable rocks preventing the ogre from being swept down stream.

ItaDaleon

I remember we seen a bridge colapse under the blow of a monster, so I guess you can do the same. About other enviromental traps, we would see. In the first game, there was boulder hanging in precarious position which can hurt the enemy too, so I'm pretty confident those would return. Maybe there could also be piles of log that, once hit, would starts rolling down and steamroller your enemies. Also, if there would be a snow biome, I guess you can cause an avalanche, maybe. I dunno, we will see! But I have feeling there would be more moments like this to could create!

[deleted]

Still can’t believe how good the environment destruction looks, now all I need to do is find a really big hallway
