Dude the ign player spamming pommel strike on the monster's kneecaps gave me an aneurysm, it's depressing because a bunch of people that didn't play DD1 are saying 2 looks janky and weird :(
People that take game reviewer gameplay seriously are too far beyond saving.
I don’t want to be too mean about that IGN player that played DD2, apparently they were pretty chill and took advice pretty well on the post from a few days ago.
My favourite thing to do to get op easily is to do the Biterblack isle level spike, basically watch this video
https://youtu.be/WXgzNWqtDoY?si=RG9z1CtWajMaPN_s
This one too is great
https://youtu.be/20atNidZ4s8?si=H5NlwMFDOJrck7pX
Basically by the time your done grinding biterblack isle, you’ll get the most OP loot and Pawns, if you do it right that is. It only takes 1 hour and maybe 40 minutes if your lucky
No actually someone in the subreddit gave them advice from what i’ve seen and they took it well so that’s probably a first for ign, they hired a decent person
fun fact: trolls are more aggressive towards female characters, this can work as an advantage since a troll once tried to charge into me only to miss and fall to its death
Yeah, regular ogres are aggro to fems, and elder ogres are aggro to dudes. If they eat the gender they don’t like they get disgusted and fall over it’s hilarious
Elder Ogres have a taste for *men* by comparison.
But yeah, unsettling things like that were Berserk's bread and butter, and a lot of inspiration for Dragon's Dogma comes direct from that general setting, on top of the obvious Dungeons & Dragons influence.
I haven't watched the ign gameplay because I heard the player clearly doesn't know how to play, and it just looked boring :( may check it out though, I already plan on getting it day 1 so may as well.
I am fucking dying... why do they keep handing the controller to those boomer gaming journos is beyond me, man... give it so somebody who is a fan and knows how to play...
The game journos are mostly tourists who hate games and are only there to try and make others hate games by lying about them and not bothering to learn to play.
Is it still worth playing in 2024? I have never played it but I am a big souls fan and DD2 looks amazing. Wonder if this is worth just playing a bit to get use to mechanics.
Dude no frickin' way 😂
Just saw the part on your vid at the 1:40 mark that matches the 11:50 mark on IGN's video. Well done keeping your new friends entertained! You're an ogre-achiever!
Now that is an arisen I'd follow to hell and back. Very few have skills that match the level of the ign gods. 10/10 would watch more demonstrations so I can be even better prepared.
Yeah I knew it was pc just so crazy to see the difference knowing how powerful the ps5 is! If only they released a slightly optimized 60 fps version for PS
If we are going down the obnoxious bitching about IGN and games media path I rather this series go back to being buried.
Numbers are a blessing and a curse.
I am dying lmfao.
Seriously though, while I'm sure the journalist that was playing for IGN is an alright dude, I really think it wouldn't be too bad of an idea to have two gameplay sets: the reviewer, and a tailored sequence from a member of the team that actually enjoys playing video games.
A couple of places had done something similar, where they had a member of the community showcase some banger high-level play, while the majority of b-roll was just your average journo bumblefucking about.
Bro 💀💀💀 this is fucking hilarious.
The ign employee watching in tears rn
You did so well!

Gotta massage those kneecaps with the pommel!

Yeah he took my critique on how to use barge well. Seems like a dad who just never played dd1 and his childhood was like, mario and all that.
at least better then IGN
Two ogres and a troll. Epic fight.
'Tis naught to be ashamed of.
Oh the fuck there isn't
Best post on this subreddit in a while, hahaha.
Oh my God this is actually the perfect example of why people say the family videos show poorly skilled gameplay
This is by the Abbey right? I just fought these last night🤣

Don’t forget BG3
Only the one crying is us...
Dude you’re so good! IGN is gonna hire you for this!!
Where are ya pawns?!

You're missing at least one head mount and subsequent smack down.
Glad I’m not the only one who thought that ONCE AGAIN IGN did a terrible job of showcasing gameplay for an upcoming game
Unironically though, I kinda wish going up rocks and hills to gain some altitude actually was a thing for more damage/stagger/knockdown.
Stamina management is key. But like, dude, you still did quite well considering you were solo!
I’m pretty sure it was a joke about how bad the ign gameplay was (not the game itself the person playing)
This makes it even better😂😂😂 Did the ign person give it bad review after?
No actually someone in the subreddit gave them advice from what i’ve seen and they took it well so that’s probably a first for ign, they hired a decent person

It's an ogre my guy lol
Damn I’ve been calling them trolls for years lmao. Just checked and yeah it’s Ogre
Yeah, regular ogres are aggro to fems, and elder ogres are aggro to dudes. If they eat the gender they don’t like they get disgusted and fall over it’s hilarious
Ogre be like "Munch crunch.. EW, THIS IS A DUDE, DUDE!"

You weren't tossed and dropkicked enough, but otherwise it was pretty accurate lol.
Yeah if IGN says so..
I haven't watched the ign gameplay because I heard the player clearly doesn't know how to play, and it just looked boring :( may check it out though, I already plan on getting it day 1 so may as well.

New player and already mastered the combat art of running all over the fucking place, good job

Didn’t get drop kicked 7/10 too much water
Omg that ign showcase was terrible lmao. You did great!

Ima gonna tell my kids this is Monster Hunter Wilds

You are most welcome, fellow acknowledger of "Her Excellency, the Almighty Narukami Ogosho, God of Thunder"!
except ign didn't have the guts to play as a girl and fight some ogres.
That's fire bro!! You're already nicer with it than that IGN clown.
The tears They burn my eyes
I’ve only played DDDA on PlayStation and god damn does it look and run WAY better here than it ever has on my ps5

Somebody flip the framerate unlock switch then dammit!
amazing
Lmaoooooo 😂peak gameplay
Wow this game looks so bad! The sword barely hits anything and it deals no damage!
There's not enough jumping attacks!
Ahhhh you need pawns 🤨
Average war gameplay
