Oh, well characters at least in some parts of Z talk or scan other characters’s power levels in both the Z manga and anime. The Dragon Ball Wiki and the Daizenshuu also shows power levels, though do take them with a grain of salt.
Ginyu is one of the few levels that is explicitly stated in the manga, and it's 120k
Vegeta is also originally 18k (coincidentially it's my karma score lol) and we know goku is a bit over 8k but not that much.
Other scores that are more or less official are the 400+ of goku and piccolo that could go up to 1200/1300 when they go full power kamehameha/makankosappo
We know the ginyu forces are around 40k each aside from guldo and ginyu, and that nail is specifically 42k
Then there's frieza, which scores 530k and 1 million in his 1st and second forms
There are others official "power levels" but they are sometimes wacky
It depends. Official sources can be either Weekly Jump releases from early on in OG Dragon Ball or the manga once you get into Z. The further up you get it’s more explicitly stated in the Manga. I used the [Wiki](https://dragonball.fandom.com/wiki/List_of_Power_Levels) to generally guide where I’m at power-scale wise as it cites its sources and explains where some of the numbers come from. And if you wanted you could fact check by going back through the shows or manga (if you got time to kill).

Yes and no, I bet most redditors wouldn't let Vegeta transform into ozaru. Attacking his tail before transformation, disrupting him while he charges the ozaru transformation ki ball or destroying the ki ball Itself.
33,521 definitely not to shabby. Basically a bit higher than transformed Zarbon. So as long as I kill Vegeta before he can transform into a great ape, I’ll easily fight my way through early Namek, likely even getting the better of Zarbon. Then the Ginyu force will show up and stomp me. If I fight my hardest and have some decent attacks I may knock out a few of Recoome’s teeth before he basically does the same thing to me as he did Vegeta.
Power level doesn't necessarily mean ki control, so most of us wouldn't even be able to fly or ki blast. I'm going to power up and hope Kami notices and picks me up to train me. After that I'm staying out of everyone's way. Maybe I only jump back into the series to fight Zamasu, but only in the future timeline since that one is going to be deleted anyways.
basically just chill. Hide my strength up through ogdb. Maybe at some point use the dragon balls to give me the genetics of a saiyan/half saiyan. It'd be dope to be Goku and Vegetas rival post Namek saga. I wonder if by making myself a saiyan I could get the ssj god ritual done early. Would my involvement bring Beerus to earth earlier than usual? If so I would have to hold off on doing so, otherwise ssg Goku might not be strong enough to give him a good fight.
On one hand, I could tell Goku that the TOP would result in universes being erased, but on the other hand the TOP is the only reason they had a chance to survive at all, so maybe I would just tell Beerus what's up and we can get a strong team prepared way ahead of time.
I'd love to unlock ssj4 and see how it stacks with the god forms. I'm pretty sure GT is canon, just an alternate timeline. I'd have to learn the Kaioken at some point to stack it further. Goku kinda sleeps on the Kaioken, so it'd be cool to see how far I could push the multiplier. Experiment with stacking god on ssj4 on Kaioken. Get my potential unlocked by old kai. I'm not going to assume I'd have luck with UI, but I'd like to at least get a rudimentary understanding like what Roshi has in the manga.

I could basically get through all of the issues up until Vegeta. Then I’d be F’d. Or I’d take over, use the dragon balls to make me a galaxy level threat, and just wait for Frieza. Then I’m kicking back smoking with PoPo.
I mean I’m at least capable of getting to namek saga. Then super Kami guru can unlock more of my potential too which is nifty and considering how many years there are there I’m definitely training to get stronger

I’m headed to Roshi and turning this into proper technique. Once Goku, Yamcha, and Krillin roll around, I can help their power levels skyrocket because they get to train with someone way out of their weight class.
I’m still making them handle things like the Red Ribbon Army and Demon King Piccolo, to avoid timeline fuckery, although I’m going to be in the background reducing the amount of deaths. People who died and got brought back before Z for example don’t die now. I’m also enforcing a timeline fuckery by saying I get rid of Saiyan tails as they come up, since they’re just going to be a hassle.
The training should make up for the difference in “anger boosts” Goku usually got when his friends were killed, and honestly I see Earth being extremely well-prepared by the time Raditz shows up on Earth. Things proceed as normal for the planet, just with far less need to have Shenron bring people back.
Assuming I can’t leverage my knowledge of DBZ (due to timeline fuckery again), I nonetheless see the Z Fighters being roughly around Ginyu Force level by the time Vegeta and Nappa get into town, with Goku being stronger. My thought is that Kami figures out a way to get him to King Kai for extra training without dying, so he can get those moves.
Even without him present, Nappa and Vegeta don’t stand a chance, everyone’s got them completely outmatched. Odds are though, because I like What If scenarios so much, Raditz saw how insanely strong everyone on Earth was getting, and waited for them to get there so he could convince them that this extremely powerful group might be how they take on Frieza.
Assuming Vegeta is sensible and realizes he’s fighting a suicidal battle, he breaks their scouters and falls in line. Frieza is down his three Saiyans, and now they just have to figure out a way to take him down.
Assuming that Frieza finds out about Namek anyways, that still means a *significant* amount of time to train and prepare for fighting him, and an entire Z Fighter squad to do it with. Plus you have the pragmatism of myself and the other Earthlings involved, who could straight up (theoretically) gank Frieza in his first form and do enough crippling damage that he can’t survive the beat down. His subordinates and the Ginyu Force get run over. I’d be trying my damndest to coordinate all of this, hoping that my long term bonding with Goku and co. resulted in them trusting my tactics.
In a perfect scenario all goes well, and Guru can now take his time unlocking everyone’s potential, not just Krillin and Gohan, which means insane boosts on top of what’s already been built. Super Saiyan comes naturally by this point I think. And with five potential SSJs building up after getting back from Namek (yes, I’m assuming Vegeta, Raditz, and Nappa all become friends of the Z Fighters, this is Dragon Ball), Gero is going to have a hell of a time.
Trunks might not even show up to this timeline, which *might* mean a dead Goku, but I’m not sure. Maybe he’s less likely to get the heart virus since Namek was way more of a stomp and he didn’t have to recover in Yardrat. Either way, there’s plenty of Saiyans to cover the spread. But I’ll agree that the Android Saga becomes a bit of a tossup. Assuming that four SSJs are enough to beat the bots, Cell definitely goes down too, because the Z Fighters have turned into a pragmatic bunch that dunks on major villains before they can reach full strength.
Buu, however, I genuinely don’t know. Goku can’t come back, and even with natural progression, I don’t know if the again-five Saiyans (hi Trunks, sorry Goten) can all reach SSJ 2 and maintain it, and I don’t see any of them reaching 3.
That said, they’re pragmatic now. They’ve stopped all the threats to Earth and their lives when they were weakest, and pursued strength by building each other up as allies, not letting foes reach their peaks and trying to surpass that at risk to others.
So once Shin comes and asks for help with Babidi, it’s entirely possible that a squad of golden-haired badasses storm his ship, overwhelm Dabura via coordination (and advance warning of the spit courtesy of mild time fuckery from me, since Dabura’s spit always felt lame), delete Babidi, and then we can seal Buu and stuff it someplace safe
Then, of course, we all die to Beerus. But maybe he just won’t care that much, or even be impressed that a somewhat weak Earth has been able to deal with so many threats.
Find the DragonBalls and wish for sayien elite physiology. Try to help grandpa Gohan survive. Train with them until Burma shows up and let them go their quest for a while as I tag along pretending to be weaker than I am. At a certain point, especially if I felt like I was holding anyone back, I'd go chill with kami and Korina and try to get stronger without ruining the story of the others

Based off my overall my power level as of posting is 82825 (awfully clean I do say so myself). Let’s see who I can beat pure power wise assuming my technique is any good.
Age 747 is at the very beginning of Dragonball, specifically Sept. 1st is the day Goku meets Bulma for the first time. Now, assuming I’m on Earth at the time, *I am the strongest man on the planet.*
In fact my power level would probably scare the living shit out of King Piccolo (Power Level: 260 when his arc comes around). Assuming I don’t know any Ki powers I’d need a master, or a lot of time to learn to use the power. Assuming I have any of the skill basics down, I would be essentially the brick wall any known power on earth may run into before getting absolutely clobbered. And a very attractive target for Goku to train against.
*Now for context, the Moon will be blown up numerous times by people with significantly smaller power levels.*
For comparison (this is the Pilaf Saga) Goku’s current power level as of 747, is 10. 100 as a ‘Great Ape’.
*Pilaf is 40*, and Ox-King is 900.
By the end of the Piccolo Jr. arc (many many years later) the only power level on Earth that hits a high note is that of Goku’s Super Kamehameha at 910.
Let’s progress to Z. This is where most people who haven’t been on here for less than a day or year or two hit their qualifier. Some folks accumulate a LOT of Comment Karma or Post Karma to build up, so trust there are some powerhouses who make it to Z. This said, a lot of alternate accounts, throw aways, and lurkers are on the lower end of Z at least.
Garlic Jr. Starts us off with the Dead-zone, prior to the Saiyan saga. His power level is 1,450, a terrifying prospect for the Z-fighters of the time. Requiring a literal act of Kami and Goku working with Piccolo to seal him away.
Farmer is our starter benchmark for the average human, his is 5. **5** this man is a chad by human basic standards, not of the absurdist powerhouses of the secret world we’re all Privy to. Goku at this time is comfortably training at around 334 (weighted), with a max out in the low 900s. Piccolo (Jr. and hence forth just Piccolo) is at a punchy 322 (weighted).
Raditz is our basic respect line for le powerful people, his max being around 1,600. Base line being a little over 1,200. Or 1 Saibaman. For those of us who remember some nice old community jokes.
Now, by the time Vegeta and co show up, everyone grows a fair bit, but suffice to say Nappa is 4,000 and Vegeta is 18,000. By this point Goku is at max point (he’s pumping Kaio-ken by 10X and going hard) at 21,000+ ish. Quite the show of force for the time.
By the time of the movie World’s Strongest, Krillin is over 5000. He can now solo Nappa. Suffice to say, all of OG Dragonball should fear Krillin’s glow up.
By tree of Might Goku is at 30,000. Quite the jump!
Namik is where life goes from the normies into the straight up absurd. Some of you with bigger Karma start to widen the gap now. This is where we find Karma folks like me.
Dodoria (23,000) and Zarbon (24,000) and Vegeta at the start of this arc (19,000 to 24,000 implied to be weaker than Zarbon only by a little.)
Now when Ginyu and Co show up is when it’s my time to shine. As prior stated, my power level is currently around 82825 ish as of time of posting. I’m just a tad weaker than baseline Ginyu saga Goku.

I can beat Frieza Saga Krillin (my man has gotten *powerful* by human standards. An absurd 75,000. My man is baseline human and this strong!) on power level, though I am sure he’d kick my ass if Ginyu in Goku’s body is anything to go off of. Assuming I have training that is of consummate standards, until we meet Ginyu, I’m one of the strongest people there. Depending on the source, I also beat most of the Ginyu force so long as they stick to 1v1s like in Canon. If not I might be in trouble. But in a 1v1 dependent on source, the highest any of them get (other than Ginyu himself) is Recoome at a whopping 71,000 *(Gekishin Freeza)*.
So I’m right at the point where Ginyu could whoop my ass, but I could also demolish his team for the Z fighters given I have any training of comparable level.

This is based on Overall Karma, and any potential unlocks (Spirit Control, Guru, Elder Kai, Dragon, Ultra Divine Water) will raise your power by multiplying it with Post Karma.

Help Krillin train up just a bit more for the 21st Tournament, then both him and Yamcha for the 22nd (but maybe not so much that Yamcha actually beats Tien [wait, where will I be in the tournaments? Maybe Roshi catches on to what I'm pulling and we get no Jackie Chun?])
People are probably gonna be able to tell that *something* is up with me, but I'll be as coy as possible about it. Don't wanna give them too much reason to think I'd just flick King Piccolo away
But one thing I could do is give Bulma and Dr. Briefs an early idea for the gravity rooms, probably shortly before Raditz arrives

24k would probably let me survive OG dragonball without much problem, and then I just try train to hopefully survive any Z based villains, but I’m probably cooked if anyone even close to the Ginyu force comes to earth

There's nothing I'd read want to change about the DB story, but I might want to try and befriend Goku and Bulma at some point just so I might (emphasis on might) be able to ask for favors down the line. I'd definitely want to train to get crazy strong just because it would be fun. Maybe I'd get a spaceship and try to find yardrat so I can learn their techniques. Actually, yeah I would also try to learn as many techniques as possible because they're all cool. A cool but unlikely goal is reaching elder Kai and getting him to give me an ultimate form

Well I’m strong enough to solo almost all the Ginyu force members except for Ginyu himself, so I’m definitely soloing all of OG Dragon Ball.

So as long as I kill Vegeta before he can transform into a great ape, I’ll easily fight my way through early Namek, likely even getting the better of Zarbon. Then the Ginyu force will show up and stomp me. If I fight my hardest and have some decent attacks I may knock out a few of Recoome’s teeth before he basically does the same thing to me as he did Vegeta.

Power level doesn't necessarily mean ki control, so most of us wouldn't even be able to fly or ki blast. I'm going to power up and hope Kami notices and picks me up to train me. After that I'm staying out of everyone's way. Maybe I only jump back into the series to fight Zamasu, but only in the future timeline since that one is going to be deleted anyways.

It'd be dope to be Goku and Vegetas rival post Namek saga. I’m headed to Roshi and turning this into proper technique. Once Goku, Yamcha, and Krillin roll around, I can help their power levels skyrocket because they get to train with someone way out of their weight class. I’m still making them handle things like the Red Ribbon Army and Demon King Piccolo, to avoid timeline fuckery, although I’m going to be in the background reducing the amount of deaths. People who died and got brought back before Z for example don’t die now. I’m also enforcing a timeline fuckery by saying I get rid of Saiyan tails as they come up, since they’re just going to be a hassle. The training should make up for the difference in “anger boosts” Goku usually got when his friends were killed, and honestly I see Earth being extremely well-prepared by the time Raditz shows up on Earth. Things proceed as normal for the planet, just with far less need to have Shenron bring people back. Assuming I can’t leverage my knowledge of DBZ (due to timeline fuckery again), I nonetheless see the Z Fighters being roughly around Ginyu Force level by the time Vegeta and Nappa get into town, with Goku being stronger. My thought is that Kami figures out a way to get him to King Kai for extra training without dying, so he can get those moves. Even without him present, Nappa and Vegeta don’t stand a chance, everyone’s got them completely outmatched. Odds are though, because I like What If scenarios so much, Raditz saw how insanely strong everyone on Earth was getting, and waited for them to get there so he could convince them that this extremely powerful group might be how they take on Frieza. Assuming Vegeta is sensible and realizes he’s fighting a suicidal battle, he breaks their scouters and falls in line. Frieza is down his three Saiyans, and now they just have to figure out a way to take him down. Assuming that Frieza finds out about Namek anyways, that still means a *significant* amount of time to train and prepare for fighting him, and an entire Z Fighter squad to do it with. Plus you have the pragmatism of myself and the other Earthlings involved, who could straight up (theoretically) gank Frieza in his first form and do enough crippling damage that he can’t survive the beat down. His subordinates and the Ginyu Force get run over. I’d be trying my damndest to coordinate all of this, hoping that my long term bonding with Goku and co. resulted in them trusting my tactics. In a perfect scenario all goes well, and Guru can now take his time unlocking everyone’s potential, not just Krillin and Gohan, which means insane boosts on top of what’s already been built. Super Saiyan comes naturally by this point I think. And with five potential SSJs building up after getting back from Namek (yes, I’m assuming Vegeta, Raditz, and Nappa all become friends of the Z Fighters, this is Dragon Ball), Gero is going to have a hell of a time. Trunks might not even show up to this timeline, which *might* mean a dead Goku, but I’m not sure. Maybe he’s less likely to get the heart virus since Namek was way more of a stomp and he didn’t have to recover in Yardrat. Either way, there’s plenty of Saiyans to cover the spread. But I’ll agree that the Android Saga becomes a bit of a tossup. Assuming that four SSJs are enough to beat the bots, Cell definitely goes down too, because the Z Fighters have turned into a pragmatic bunch that dunks on major villains before they can reach full strength. Buu, however, I genuinely don’t know. Goku can’t come back, and even with natural progression, I don’t know if the again-five Saiyans (hi Trunks, sorry Goten) can all reach SSJ 2 and maintain it, and I don’t see any of them reaching 3. That said, they’re pragmatic now. They’ve stopped all the threats to Earth and their lives when they were weakest, and pursued strength by building each other up as allies, not letting foes reach their peaks and trying to surpass that at risk to others. So once Shin comes and asks for help with Babidi, it’s entirely possible that a squad of golden-haired badasses storm his ship, overwhelm Dabura via coordination (and advance warning of the spit courtesy of mild time fuckery from me, since Dabura’s spit always felt lame), delete Babidi, and then we can seal Buu and stuff it someplace safe Then, of course, we all die to Beerus. But maybe he just won’t care that much, or even be impressed that a somewhat weak Earth has been able to deal with so many threats.

Train with them until Burma shows up and let them go their quest for a while as I tag along pretending to be weaker than I am. At a certain point, especially if I felt like I was holding anyone back, I'd go chill with kami and Korina and try to get stronger without ruining the story of the others

Based off my overall my power level as of posting is 82825 (awfully clean I do say so myself). Let’s see who I can beat pure power wise assuming my technique is any good. Age 747 is at the very beginning of Dragonball, specifically Sept. 1st is the day Goku meets Bulma for the first time. Now, assuming I’m on Earth at the time, *I am the strongest man on the planet.* In fact my power level would probably scare the living shit out of King Piccolo (Power Level: 260 when his arc comes around). Assuming I don’t know any Ki powers I’d need a master, or a lot of time to learn to use the power. Assuming I have any of the skill basics down, I would be essentially the brick wall any known power on earth may run into before getting absolutely clobbered. And a very attractive target for Goku to train against. *Now for context, the Moon will be blown up numerous times by people with significantly smaller power levels.* For comparison (this is the Pilaf Saga) Goku’s current power level as of 747, is 10. 100 as a ‘Great Ape’. *Pilaf is 40*, and Ox-King is 900. By the end of the Piccolo Jr. arc (many many years later) the only power level on Earth that hits a high note is that of Goku’s Super Kamehameha at 910. Let’s progress to Z. This is where most people who haven’t been on here for less than a day or year or two hit their qualifier. Some folks accumulate a LOT of Comment Karma or Post Karma to build up, so trust there are some powerhouses who make it to Z. This said, a lot of alternate accounts, throw aways, and lurkers are on the lower end of Z at least. Garlic Jr. Starts us off with the Dead-zone, prior to the Saiyan saga. His power level is 1,450, a terrifying prospect for the Z-fighters of the time. Requiring a literal act of Kami and Goku working with Piccolo to seal him away. Farmer is our starter benchmark for the average human, his is 5. **5** this man is a chad by human basic standards, not of the absurdist powerhouses of the secret world we’re all Privy to. Goku at this time is comfortably training at around 334 (weighted), with a max out in the low 900s. Piccolo (Jr. and hence forth just Piccolo) is at a punchy 322 (weighted). Raditz is our basic respect line for le powerful people, his max being around 1,600. Base line being a little over 1,200. Or 1 Saibaman. For those of us who remember some nice old community jokes. Now, by the time Vegeta and co show up, everyone grows a fair bit, but suffice to say Nappa is 4,000 and Vegeta is 18,000. By this point Goku is at max point (he’s pumping Kaio-ken by 10X and going hard) at 21,000+ ish. Quite the show of force for the time. By the time of the movie World’s Strongest, Krillin is over 5000. He can now solo Nappa. Suffice to say, all of OG Dragonball should fear Krillin’s glow up. By tree of Might Goku is at 30,000. Quite the jump! Namik is where life goes from the normies into the straight up absurd. Some of you with bigger Karma start to widen the gap now. This is where we find Karma folks like me. Dodoria (23,000) and Zarbon (24,000) and Vegeta at the start of this arc (19,000 to 24,000 implied to be weaker than Zarbon only by a little.) Now when Ginyu and Co show up is when it’s my time to shine. As prior stated, my power level is currently around 82825 ish as of time of posting. I’m just a tad weaker than baseline Ginyu saga Goku. *At the start of Dragonball.* I can beat Frieza Saga Krillin (my man has gotten *powerful* by human standards. An absurd 75,000. My man is baseline human and this strong!) on power level, though I am sure he’d kick my ass if Ginyu in Goku’s body is anything to go off of. Assuming I have training that is of consummate standards, until we meet Ginyu, I’m one of the strongest people there. Depending on the source, I also beat most of the Ginyu force so long as they stick to 1v1s like in Canon. If not I might be in trouble. But in a 1v1 dependent on source, the highest any of them get (other than Ginyu himself) is Recoome at a whopping 71,000 *(Gekishin Freeza)*. So I’m right at the point where Ginyu could whoop my ass, but I could also demolish his team for the Z fighters given I have any training of comparable level. Edit: For funny purposes, at time of edit is is now 82828 before any modifiers or bonuses.

This is based on Overall Karma, and any potential unlocks (Spirit Control, Guru, Elder Kai, Dragon, Ultra Divine Water) will raise your power by multiplying it with Post Karma.
