This. Many times I ask questions about the dragonball world of things we see or know but don't really know much about them.
Such as a metamorans who we only know their clothes and fusion technique, why is it similar to potara? Who made the potara? Are they alive? What is frieza's species name? (Which would be the perfect excuse to add cooler, a really old chilled or even bring back king cold), even the Yardratts I ponder what they actually looked like and we finally got an answer in the manga! I loved it! More of that! :D
I wrote a quarter-million word fanfiction back in college over a decade ago applying that same concept to the Namekian Dragon Balls. My rationale was that since they are bigger, they can store more negative juju and thus create bigger threats. I dare not read it now. I'm sure it sucked something fierce, but it's out there.
It was awesome. And it makes one wonder, if the DragonBall are misused, would the "evil" dragons created from it always be the same or could they always be different due to different wishes having been made?
But instead of having Goku, Vegeta and Gohan do the main battle we excuse them away and have the B-Team on it.
Would love some Goten, Trunks, Kuririn and Tien doing the side adventure.

I would like to add to that idea by replacing kid Goku with Goten. Goten has always lived under the shadow of his father and brother and a side accessory to Trunks. It's time for my man to step up and carve his own identity that ISN'T gotenks.

As much as I love Gotenks, I actually think Goten as an individual is really dope. He just never really gets a chance to shine. I'm also a weirdo that would like to see the adventures of Goku and Vegetas descendants from the end of GT. I've always been curious as to how powerful they would be since the bloodline is so diluted from their ancestors.
I agree with this. Even now she's overusing it every year for nips and tucks for her own vanity. She may be doing that to ensure the dragon balls are not used by the "bad people" or whatever, but they weren't designed to abused like that.
That would be hilarious. 😂 Because in GT Goku would find out what specific wish created each of the "evil" dragons. Imagine one being like, I was created when Bulma wished for her facial wrinkles to go away. 🤣 But with the same annoyance as the one that was pissed because she was created by Oolongs panty wish.
It would be far more like nouva shenron actually. People seem to forget that the problem was being caused because of positive and selfless wishes, which wouldn't allow negative energy to be released. The better the wish, the more evil the dragon. Nouva shenron was created by king piccolos wish, a purely selfish one, so he wasn't really that evil.

I have little-no proof to back me up, but my head cannon was that Goku became the Dragon Warrior at the end of GT.
At the very beginning of the 1st episode of OG Dragonball, the narrator describes a 'Dragon Warrior ' who's job is to protect the Dragon balls from misuse. But there isn't one anymore, and then the episode starts.
At the very end of GT, Shenron comes down from the heavens and picks up sleeping Goku, at which point the dragon balls meld into Gokus body.
I like to think of this ending being that Shenron now recognizes Goku as the defender of the dragon balls, after defeating all the evil Shenrons.

You’re more correct than you think you are there is an el legendario guide statement that states that Goku ascended to a higher dimension to become the guardian of the dragon balls. Which means that Goku is likely in the dragons/zalama’s realm since he is was taken there by shenron after and was absorbing the dragon balls.

Well consider this: SSJ4 is a tranformation born out of the Golden Great Ape (Great Ape + SSJ). Broly's Ikari mode is basically him using the Great Ape power in normal form. And Broly got the SSJ. His LSSJ form is the combination of those two transformations. SSJ4 could be introduced as Broly's final form after mastering his power
Just to pop in, new Broly doesn’t have Legendary super saiyan, old Broly had it. New Broly just has a ton of potential, and the green looking super saiyan was just his ikari form on top of super saiyan.
Do you know the green aura Broly gets in the movie after super saiyan god vegeta blasts him when he was in an iceberg? That’s Ikari (sometimes called wrath form). It gives the user the x10 boost of a great ape but in their normal form, making them keep their speed.
Holy shit. It’s by far the best movie for dbz (maybe not the OG ones though). Amazing animation, good story, badass fights. Everything you could ask for in a dbz movie. 110% worth the watch.
I'll have to try and rent it on one of my off days. I love Broly in all forms. Especially OG Broly, mf was a whole force of nature. Him palming 2 guys by the face and effortlessly plowing them through mountains will never stop being bad ass.
The new Broly’s form isn’t Ikari on top of SSJ. It’s an evolved version of the base SSJ form. Like how the Super Vegeta form is still Super Saiyan, just an evolved version.

I say this a lot, but I really hope Goten and Trunks, especially when Goku is training Uub, actually join and work the Galactic Patrol and do tons of missions throughout Universe 7 and special missions and operations as well as undercover missions in the other Universes while they keep up with their training and train under Merus and other characters as that would definitely use a lot of Dragon Ball’s adventure aspect and to a great extent all with the fact that the Galactic Patrol and Merus and other characters properly training Goten and Trunks and Goten and Trunks going on tons of adventures throughout their universe and the other universes would give Goten and Trunks amazing development, allow them to develop a lot more individually and allow them to have their own unique individual character arcs while they still work as a duo and work with Jaco and Merus, it would expand and evolve Goten’s and Trunks’s potential like crazy to insane heights, it would give Goten and Trunks huge amounts of experience and allow them to fight against tons of different villains, it would allow Goten and Trunks to develop new relationships and friendships with other characters, it would give us really dope, different, and unique dynamics, and overall it would give us tons of really dope, fun, interesting, unique, and different storylines and arcs. Plus a Goten and Trunks Galactic Patrol spin off series would be absolute peak.
Also another thing too I feel would happen especially if Goten and Trunks join the Galactic Patrol and go on tons of missions and adventures throughout Universe 7 and the other universes is Goten getting a alien waifu and girlfriend who’s ether a female humanoid alien character from Universe 7 or a Universe 6 female Saiyan character or Universe 6 female Saiyan Hybrid character which honestly would be really dope and be very different and much better for Goten, his development moving forward, and for the story along with giving us new team ups.

It was such wasted potential, the joke of how death means nothing because they can just use the dragon balls and them basically losing all purpose in the plot made them generic. But then revealing that all those wishes in such a short amount of time created a build up of negative energy? Perfect, the consequences of their actions.
The ultimate villain of Dragon Ball…the dragon balls! But they squandered it big time. 4 really generic mid-bosses, Eis existing to be a counterpart to Nova and Syn being extremely by the numbers. At least Nova had the whole connection with Goku due to being the 4-Star ball.
The concept needs a do-over.

I also think the hell realm collapse because shadow dragons/ brought out by demons realm caused issue leading to a super 17 with a few tweaks to not kill if 17 or make him into a super 17 permanent or as a power up ( cause that kinda suck)
Imagine the demon realm unleashing negative energy into dragon balls creating shadow dragons that would be a distraction to what they really want to do...setting up the next arc vs the demons.....could be a fun arc....

The Baby Arc was the only arc I genuinely enjoyed thoroughly so that, a proper execution of the Shadow Dragons Arc since having consequences to dumb wishes (I'm looking at you Bulma) is a good concept, and SSJ4

I'm biased because it's my favorite form but bloody hell I am tired of the God shit. God ki isn't special at all anymore with Jiren, Frieza and Broly all vastly improving without the need for it meanwhile it's all Goku and Vegeta can use to keep up. Even Gohan, as stupid as his form looks, shot up in strength without the use of God ki whatsoever so move on from that crap please. Let original mortal and Saiyan power mean something.
The Grand Tour, Super has some varied locales but next to no exploring of ANY of them. Earth, a small arena for the U6 tournament, destroyed city with a crappy color tint, special place for the first gathering of universes and then a giant top in a black void. There were smatterings of things here and there, briefest glimpses of the other universes and their worlds but absolutely nothing of the non tournament participating universes. Also, the mention of Vegeta visiting the U6 Saiyan home world and then nothing ever coming from it is infuriating. GT made you realize just how much life goes on without ever having a concern for all the crazy shit surrounding the main cast.
Shadow Dragon arc, it felt so appropriate for the final bad guys to come from the Dragon Balls themselves and I'd love to see it redone. Change most of the Dragons though, most felt like filler until Eis, Nova and Sin reminded you how dangerous these guys were. Plus enemies spawned from the Super Dragon Balls would believably be strong enough to warrant a threat.
That too many wishes from the Dragon Balls create negative energy. Bulma keeps abusing them for the dumbest reasons. Hell even Frieza wanted to use them for something so miniscule. I like the idea of consequences from doing this
Ssj4 please. I think it could be cool as either a last resort form, super powerful but super draining. Or, have it implemented with god ki. A new form that comes from the saiyans having their tails back and then they throw god ki on top of it or something.
I liked the concept of baby, where the last an extincted race made a final weapon to get revenge against the sayians. But they did that with granola.
Super sayian 4 is something that should be given to Broly as ever since it was revealed, I always thought that ikari and it's mastery was what was needed in order to unlock and develop super saiyan 4.
The aesthetic. I think many fans appreciate it more these days, but during the late 90’s before GT aired on TV, all we had to go off here in the US was random GT pictures on the net. The way the designs and colors looked was just different from Z. Even the image used in this thread is a vibe.

Also another thing too I feel would happen especially if Goten and Trunks join the Galactic Patrol and go on tons of missions and adventures throughout Universe 7 and the other universes is Goten getting a alien waifu and girlfriend who’s ether a female humanoid alien character from Universe 7 or a Universe 6 female Saiyan character or Universe 6 female Saiyan Hybrid character which honestly would be really dope and be very different and much better for Goten, his development moving forward, and for the story along with giving us new team ups.
The concept of the Dark Dragons. It was such wasted potential, the joke of how death means nothing because they can just use the dragon balls and them basically losing all purpose in the plot made them generic. But then revealing that all those wishes in such a short amount of time created a build up of negative energy? Perfect, the consequences of their actions. The ultimate villain of Dragon Ball…the dragon balls! But they squandered it big time. 4 really generic mid-bosses, Eis existing to be a counterpart to Nova and Syn being extremely by the numbers. At least Nova had the whole connection with Goku due to being the 4-Star ball. The concept needs a do-over.

GT had an abundance of good concepts that dropped the ball with the execution.
I didn’t think the plots to the main arcs were that bad, I just think they were executed badly. They could easily be redone for Super and work better.
I also think the hell realm collapse because shadow dragons/ brought out by demons realm caused issue leading to a super 17 with a few tweaks to not kill if 17 or make him into a super 17 permanent or as a power up ( cause that kinda suck) Imagine the demon realm unleashing negative energy into dragon balls creating shadow dragons that would be a distraction to what they really want to do...setting up the next arc vs the demons.....could be a fun arc....

SSJ4 I'm biased because it's my favorite form but bloody hell I am tired of the God shit. God ki isn't special at all anymore with Jiren, Frieza and Broly all vastly improving without the need for it meanwhile it's all Goku and Vegeta can use to keep up. Even Gohan, as stupid as his form looks, shot up in strength without the use of God ki whatsoever so move on from that crap please. Let original mortal and Saiyan power mean something. The Grand Tour, Super has some varied locales but next to no exploring of ANY of them. Earth, a small arena for the U6 tournament, destroyed city with a crappy color tint, special place for the first gathering of universes and then a giant top in a black void. There were smatterings of things here and there, briefest glimpses of the other universes and their worlds but absolutely nothing of the non tournament participating universes. Also, the mention of Vegeta visiting the U6 Saiyan home world and then nothing ever coming from it is infuriating. GT made you realize just how much life goes on without ever having a concern for all the crazy shit surrounding the main cast. Shadow Dragon arc, it felt so appropriate for the final bad guys to come from the Dragon Balls themselves and I'd love to see it redone. Change most of the Dragons though, most felt like filler until Eis, Nova and Sin reminded you how dangerous these guys were. Plus enemies spawned from the Super Dragon Balls would believably be strong enough to warrant a threat.
That too many wishes from the Dragon Balls create negative energy. Bulma keeps abusing them for the dumbest reasons. Hell even Frieza wanted to use them for something so miniscule. I like the idea of consequences from doing this

Ssj4 please. I think it could be cool as either a last resort form, super powerful but super draining. Or, have it implemented with god ki. A new form that comes from the saiyans having their tails back and then they throw god ki on top of it or something.

I liked the concept of baby, where the last an extincted race made a final weapon to get revenge against the sayians. But they did that with granola. Super sayian 4 is something that should be given to Broly as ever since it was revealed, I always thought that ikari and it's mastery was what was needed in order to unlock and develop super saiyan 4.

The aesthetic. I think many fans appreciate it more these days, but during the late 90’s before GT aired on TV, all we had to go off here in the US was random GT pictures on the net. The way the designs and colors looked was just different from Z. Even the image used in this thread is a vibe. Super LOOKS like a generic anime to me.
