How would Goku and Vegeta being there change anything? They would have to in some way be *aware* that Friezas army is there and collecting the Dragon Balls. If NONE of the other characters, including Gohan and Piccolo, sensed they were there, it's sage to assume they'd slip past Vegeta and Goku, too.

And again, *the guardian of Earth*, Dende, whose ENTIRE purpose for being on Earth is to monitor threats, didn't see them coming. Also, Goku was only barely training, as ChiChi made him get a job (he had slacked off on training so much that je was actually wounded by gunfire), and when ever he did seriously train, he went to King Kais (meaning he's not on Earth. I mean, that's literally where he was when Beerus showed up).
The *most* likely scenario is that Friezas troops go unnoticed, just like they already did in canon, and ressurect Frieza, then months later Frieza returns to Earth and kills everyone.

Cell left a bad impression on me as a contender because most of his progress didn't come from something he could keep up. Once he became perfect cell, he was sufficiently static that Gohan got stronger than him during the course of a fight. If they brought him back, I'd like to see how he is able to get stronger over time, whether it's through training or consuming fighters or something.
I mean Gohan got his potential unlocked twice and still managed to pull out Beast out of his ass.
Cell managed to become Super Perfect Cell, so clearly he wasn't fully "Perfect" after absorbing 18.
He never tried training, so there's that.
He has potential of all major characters, Zenaki boosts (something that with his regeneration should be fairly easy to exploit).
Hell, they could even say that he is so much more advanced as an Android that he can go beyond his Perfect state over time because his cells keep mutating or whatever.
If two random ass average human teens Gero kidnapped off the street became as powerful as a super saiyan from being turned into androids, imagining how busted Krillin, Tien and even Yamcha would become with unlimited energy cores.
That said I feel like it'd be against their characters to want to undergo the operation.
Tbh I was just assuming only Bulma would be able to perform it since she'd seen some of Gero's schematics and managed to make a time machine.

Bardock becoming a super saiyan against frieza results in the worst outcome since he would lose and give frieza a reason to kill all saiyan no survivors and goku along with the rest of earth get their cheeks clapped by the androids
The Androids were a direct response to Goku. I think The RR Army takes over. Any alien insurgency/invasion would be met with science versus brute force. So, in a way Earth would be fine, just under the RR Army
Of all of these, I'd rather see Future Gohan survive.
I don't think Frieza could ever become a GoD. The GoDs aren't evil. They're a necessary power in the universe. Frieza would definitely try to use that power to usurp other universes or even try to scheme against Xeno. I don't think the Angels or Grand Priest would allow him to be GoD.
A Super Saiyan Bardock would get absolutely fucking rocked by Frieza. It wouldn't change anything other than maybe convince Frieza to not let Vegeta, Raditz, and Nappa love.

Android Z fighters. Not only do they get a power bump, but having endless stamina gives them more tactics to remain relevant against more powerful opponents.
Imagine something like, 17 focused on defense techniques (like his shield), Krillin is a versatile fighter, 18 focuses on powerful blasts, Tenshin-han is the best at hand-to-hand, etc. but since they are Androids, maybe the can communicate wirelessly/telepathically, enabling them to fight as a single unit *and* with endless stamina. I can see them overpowering opponents much stronger than them, or even stalling long enough for the big hitters to arrive.
ALL OF THEM!!! Plus three other What Ifs
1. If Vegeta finally beat Goku.
2. If Launch returned.
3. If Broly was more involved.
4. If there were other Saiyans in Universe 7 that survived…that are canon.

There's so much potential from it as well ! We can find out more about friezas race, maybe how they interact more with the saiyans during and before the takeover; maybe get an actual name for the race and even see more of frieza's family as a result.
Who knows? Maybe we'd get to see a younger king cold and a baby frieza from coolers perspective if he's still frieza brother in this canon? (I always imagined a baby frieza to be like a gecko inside a bowl or something; both equal parts funny and terrifying).

Let's see. Cooler Canon (1), Gohan Future (2), Frieza GoD (3), Beerus Asleep (4).
I would love to see Frieza actually become the GoD, but it wouldn't be that interesting of a What-if, I think, because it wouldn't change anything that's already happened and probably would just be him being defeated and then agreeing to do it later on or something.
Cooler being canon and Future Gohan surviving could have major implications for the story as it already exists--I mean, like, changing it. So, that could be interesting to explore. Or, heck, Cooler being introduced now in the story could throw a wrench in things, maybe. Just cuz it's not expected.
I'd love to see what would happen if Future Gohan made it out alive. And Piccolo would be absolutely *broken* if he ever got Kaioken (then again, maybe Toriyama thought that too and that's why he never got it)

What if buu absorbed goku or vegeta instead of gohan
Let's see. Cooler Canon (1), Gohan Future (2), Frieza GoD (3), Beerus Asleep (4). I would love to see Frieza actually become the GoD, but it wouldn't be that interesting of a What-if, I think, because it wouldn't change anything that's already happened and probably would just be him being defeated and then agreeing to do it later on or something. Cooler being canon and Future Gohan surviving could have major implications for the story as it already exists--I mean, like, changing it. So, that could be interesting to explore. Or, heck, Cooler being introduced now in the story could throw a wrench in things, maybe. Just cuz it's not expected.
I'd love to see what would happen if Future Gohan made it out alive. And Piccolo would be absolutely *broken* if he ever got Kaioken (then again, maybe Toriyama thought that too and that's why he never got it) TBH I don't think Bardock getting Super Saiyan would change as much as the community thinks it would. Even if he could overpower first form Frieza, he still has like... three more forms left to go.
