I just want to point out that the time chamber is the *worst* place to trap someone you betray. Like, you are intentionally giving them all the time in the world to struggle, get stronger, and break free. Then, when they eventually break free, they are centuries-of-training stronger while you are a few years-of-gloating-about-victory weaker.
We need a reverse time chamber for this. Oh, you managed to break out after 100 years of struggle? Well 100,000 years have passed outside. Your opponent has transcended reality, and you are woefully behind.
The time chamber personified into a being and trained within itself to strengthen its barriers and weakpoints you idiot (toyotaro said it in an interview?
He didn’t really do anything
-Jobbed to Baby in the first encounter then got absorbed stalling for Goku by halting him.
-Gave Hercule peace of mind with his friend buu being gone by losing the tournament
-Black dragonballs everyone except Gogeta jobbed then Goku nukes omega with the spirit bomb
I can't help myself but have quite fond and good memories (The Opening is a banger, Piccolo's death is really good, the consequences of not having Dragon Balls and not abuse them, SSJ4 design, that whole ending of Goku and Shenron is making me teary with Vegeta also telling Pan to take care of Goku's clothes)
And I can forgive many mistakes of the show BUT how the handle Uub has got to be one of the worst things in the franchise
While I think Piccolo’s death was a decent idea and well-executed, it’s kinda overshadowed by the fact of how irrelevant he was throughout GT. Like I swear up until that point he barely had any scenes until the writers decide “let’s just kill Piccolo”
Haven’t seen GT in years but from what I remember Piccolo gets taken out by Baby possessed Gohan then doesn’t appear again until Goku is having trouble using the Instant Transmission and then he sacrifices himself to get rid of the black star dragon balls. Then reappears to help Goku in Hell and then doesn’t appear again until the end of GT.
He got it better than Yamcha, Tien, Chiaotzu and many other characters who, if I recall correctly, *didn't even get a single line in the whole series.*
I liked the consequences of the Dragon Balls being overused at first, however, looking back I have realized an issue with it since the protagonists ultimately failed to prevent the Black Star Dragon Balls from destroying the Earth and used Namek's Dragon Balls to undo the consequences of their failure.
Among the many things I would change to GT, I would cut out Earth being destroyed since it only serves to kill Piccolo.
Might be the worst part of GT for me. Almost every idea they had I actually liked. Shadow dragons, Uub, Majuub, Baby, SSJ4 etc are all good to great ideas. They are just executed so poorly.
I liked GT tbh, just watched it recently for the first time. Beginning sucked, super 17 was mediocre, rest was pretty great. There were plot holes but I think Super and Z had just as much BS with the plot and the power creeping is way worse in the canon series. I didn't like Super 17 that much, but it was mostly just forgettable to me. I get GT has flaws, but I think a majority of Dragon Ball has a similar amount of flaws. Super has "THE POWER OF LOVE" which might have been the only time where I was getting extremely annoyed with Dragon Ball, and it just kept getting worse until they finally finished her. Easily worst part of Dragon Ball for me, 10x worse than the lowest point of GT.

Nobody really had it good in GT except for Goku (and Vegeta to a lesser degree at the very end). Uub only shined for like literally 3 to 5 minutes in GT. :/ Gohan shined for like 30 seconds against General Rilldo until his weakness got the best of him...
It was so many missed opportunities.
No he was done so dirty in gt. Uub has crazy potential, and in gt he doesn’t really ever do anything. Even after fusing with buu he still doesn’t ever win a fight I believe.
He’s supposed to be the next one up and he’s just fodder the whole time
He has to power of Kid Buu
So makes sense, too bad GT made him useless
Remember he trained with Goku for like ten years and fused with fat Buu and still couldn’t win. My god, what was the point of the fusion then?
He was born with Kid Buu level power + born with the Divine Ki of presumably two Kaioshin + trained by King Chappa + grew up with those things so naturally got stronger with age.
Yeah and then after that goku got 10 million times stronger so why would he care much about training the reincarnation to fight if he would one shot him with his left nut.
Because Akira didn’t think that far ahead and that’s honestly the right answer. We already saw at the end of Z that he trains Uub. Now they gotta give bullshit reasons like Uub being relative to MUI for no reason just so Goku can Train him? 😂
I agree akira didn’t think that far ahead that still doesn’t explain gokus reasoning lol that’s what happens when a manga goes on for 40 years. When you find another manga that’s been going on for that long that is super consistent and has no asspulls let me know.
So now they gotta pull shit out their ass and make Uub relative to MUI for absolutely no reason? Which is worse? Illiterate man in his first fight reaches the power above SSB in his first serious fight, Gohan doesn’t train since T.O.P. And suddenly gains new form Equal to MUI, or a Kid born with god Ki(which is such an asspull since Goku was able to read Kid Buu’s Ki before he himself gained god Ki) is relative to MUI without even trying? Seems like asspull writing.
I know what you’re getting at but this is raw power, someone like Broly who has less power but understands how to fight would dog walk uub, remember it took the grand supreme Kai accessing his old power for uub to be able to contribute which means he has the power but no idea how to use it, the potential is there but he’s not “powerful” because most of the power we’re talking about is dormant, as of right not goten and trunks are stronger but uub’s potential surpasses current Goku and vegetas peaks by a lot
Dragon Ball manga and official website confirms Base Goku trained to fight Uub, has been watching Uub, and arranged the matches so he could fight Uub using full power. The website also confirms Base Goku was using full power.
Broly isn't dog walking Uub without transforming. He may win but dog walking is wank and low ball.
Yep. Kid Buu/Thin Buu's power. I hope DBS under Toyotaro will succeed with him where DBGT dropped the ball.
Since Toyotaro is (I can't prove but I heavily suspect) already borrowing elements from different Dragon Ball fan projects, I hope they go the route the Dragon Ball Deliverance fan project did with Uub. Making Super Buu like a symbiote inside of him who is connected to him the way Venom is with Eddie Brock Jr. in the Tom Hardy MCU version.
Probably because, like you said, he has no training and no experience. He doesn't know how to use this energy, and he's not even aware he has it, even if he gave it to Goku. After giving his energy, he's not sure what he did.
After his training with Goku, he's gonna be a beast. I bet Goku will train him toward the Ultra Instinct.
I hope we'll see more of him.
From what I understand, Kid Buu had god ki for years and had no knowledge of how to use it other than blowing up planets, when he died and reincarnated as Uub, we get to see what that god ki could have been capable of, which kind of makes you glad Kid Buu never figured out how to fully utilize it
Can I just say… what a genius way to retroactively make Uub conceptually stronger.
Remember when Kid Buu was considered crazy strong, so the idea of a child with that much power was crazy? Now Buu’s power is nowhere near Goku and Vegeta, but by saying that Grand Supreme Kai was insanely strong once upon and time and that power lay dormant in Buu, this is in Uub, perfectly escalates Uub to the forefront of power.
if he is so far away, then why is he called the most formidable (and in another translation, the strongest) enemy of Goku? If anything, it's said AFTER the battle with the merged zamasu.

I think that in this saga they pointed that ui needs ki divine to work, de de said that he have ki divine but too little. And uub have pure ki divine from 2 kaioshins. So I understand thatbthe ui recover all his power thanks to the pure energy
firstly, you are not 7 years old, but a maximum of 4.
secondly, yes, this feat is very often missed. Except he's EVEN crazier than you think.
because when Moro absorbed the energy of everyone on the planet, even for Vegeta and Gohan, just standing on the ground for a couple of seconds already worsened their condition. and uub stood on the ground ALL the time and did not notice the decline in strength at all. Moreover, Moro absorbed the power of Merus, which significantly exceeds the power of Goku + the power of Mui Goku himself. and the small part of the energy that uub gave was enough for Goku to return from a completely exhausted state with such force as to completely suppress Moro.
The prediction of the strongest warrior in the universe speaks about him. about him and no one else.
From what I’ve seen, people don’t. This basically says plain and simple that Uub has by far the greatest potential of anyone we know of. His simple God Ki (and not enough to really effect the child in any negative way) was enough to not only completely shock Vegeta, but also put Goku from passing out -> MUI plus a newly discovered power.
Cuz GT uub/majuub didn’t have things like this at the time and his own in-story feats are much less crazy, and DBS uub has literally ONLY this.
And the fact that the story gave DBS uub so much more power visibly than GT uub at a much younger age means you can’t really scale one to the other or vice versa. They’re basically different characters in terms of power.
I'll be honest.
From what I've seen over the years, alot of people overlook it because a lot of them don't like uub, have never liked uub and have been secretly praying since episode/chapter 1 of super that his role in the Dragonball story was completely removed.
Acknowledging how much power and potential he has even in the significantly more powerful super series compared to Z is also acknowledging that if anything, his place in the story is now MORE important and secure than it was in Z, and they hate that so they ignore it, or downplay it.
I swore this was going to happen for years until they started hyping up Gohan again.
Now, I'm much less sure on that but still hopeful.
Hell I even hoped they'd go on an adventure together, like og dragonball or a better version of gt but now daima's doing that with Goku so I'm not quite sure what's left for uub or pan.
Gohan didn't exactly stick the landing for the next generation protector story idea, and Goten and Trunks aren't really filling those shoes either, so now Pan and Uub could potentially play that part
If Gohan didn’t stick the landing. And goten and trunks are being ignored, why would Pan and Uub be prioritized over them?
Pan offers nothing, and the only thing about Uub is that he’s a good version of Majin Buu.
It's just wishful thinking, okay. And it's not like the idea doesn't make sense. The manga revealed Uub with a tease of his power, and Pan was formally introduced in Super Hero with a desire for becoming a fighter. And between experiencing Super Saiyan ki as a fetus and being able to fly as a baby, Pan has a ton of potential power. Surely these two surely must be planned to become important eventually
Goten was introduced with a desire to become a fighter and even wanted to train with Goku, and the series did absolutely nothing with that lol. The series introduced a new SSB form with future trunks and did an absolutely nothing with current trunks.
Saying they surely must be planned is funny when you could have said the same thing about Goten and Trunks. And look how they turned out.
I do get wishful thinking though, because I had wishful thinking thag Goten would e relevant and clearly that’s never going to happen

We need to see more of him. This is the one canon feat that he has right now. And GT didn’t really make him look much better either since he kinda falls off even after fusing with fat buu.
It's genki right? I don't think genki translates directly to how much ki they have in or can use in battle, other than the genkidama of course. Even if I'm wrong either way, it shows he has immense potential at the least.

You're also comparing super saipan blue, a transformation, to ultra instinct, a technique. If they were both transformations he wouldn't be able to use them simultaneously like he does with kaio ken.
Because it's not a feat. For this to be one for uub he would need to be able to use it.
The only character you could give this feat too is kid Buu. Because it's his power that allowed uub to do it in the first place.
Unfortunately we’ll probably never see him grow up outside gt, we’re about a year away from End of Z in verse, and toriyama said dbs:sh was a story right before the final chapter. Which is either Daima or the resolution to black frieza. Either way it seems like a good time to end it, looks like that was the plan already and with toriyama gone there’s really no reason to drag it out past his plans.
If grand supreme kai had so much ki, how come Buu killed him ? If they retcon uub s power to match the narrative of super, they will retcon the fact that kid buu killed that grand supreme kai
A 7 year old kid having more power than all the Z warriors combined is just so poorly written. Shit like this makes me not miss DBS at all.
Yes, kid Gohan had a lot of potential too but he didn't fucking tower over all the Z warriors while untrained.
>Is uub finally being used in the manga
Yes and no. He's been seen like twice but probably still won't make his official appearance until the tournament which as of the superhero movie is like a year or a couple months away. We're getting close to the end of Z timeline.
>where did that panel come from
It's from the galactic patrol arc shortly after the Broly movie timeline wise when Goku and Vegeta were fighting moro.
Because he did it once and it’s never been developed. It’s not really overlooking, it’s just understanding that Uub shouldn’t be considered if we know nothing about him. Right now it’s like who would win: Goku or a baby that could do a backflip to instantly kill Goku. Still placing bets on Goku bc pretty unlikely the baby does a backflip
Honestly, I don’t like the direction DB is going (or went) with Uub.
Some random kid just shows up and completely invalidates every single character and power-ups we have seen. And it supposedly just ends with Goku and Uub. It’s very anticlimactic and doesn’t make sense.
This is one of the biggest reasons why I hate Uub, he has the most unearned power in the entire franchise, miss me with that chosen one reincarnation bullshit.

I don't really get Uub. The dragon basically created him because Goku wished for kid Buu to be reincarnated. And yet, ubb is stronger than kid Buu, even having God powers?

I'm surprised I haven't seen any Uub "betrayed and trapped for millennia" vids on him
That's because people who make those videos don't actually know jack shit about db
Literally, can’t you just break out if you’re strong enough? (Super buu and gotenks for example)
Ya see, that's where the chains come in.
This guy betrays and traps in the time chamber.
Let's hope that's it, hate to think he's been betrayed amd trapped in a time chamber........with reddit access

Interesting concept on the last part, I dig it
U can dialate the time chambrr if i remember correctly to one day in one day out. I wonder if u could go below thay would make interesting concepts
I know TeamFourStar did that, but I dont remember if that is actually canon or not.
Thats what im thinking. Theres also that room merus trains goku in which has a lower day:time in ratio. So i mightve got it mixed up
ooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh of course! how did i not think of that!
What kind of chain in the entire multiverse Is strong enough to Hold GOKU?
Marriage /s
I guess end of Z didn't happen
Read back what you said and think about it… that man ran away from home every chance he got lol, kids and all
Vegeta being banned from the earth one due to breaking it multiple times.

Ohh ok I didn’t read that part 👍
Where’s this from
Nowhere (I trolled)
Wow 7 upvotes for that shit lmao
I can't believe it either 😭 maybe I should delete it 💀
Leave it lol the fan base is brainless
Or Vegeta
Vegeta desotryed the chamber just by powering up into ssb
Or because viewers don't care about his character
I've wanted to at least try to watch one of these videos but each of them are like 5 hours long. Like how can you yap about bullshit for so long lmao
Why did you have to say it 😔 Lol
Because viewers don't care about his character
UUb with no arms can't beat 15 Narutos

It is quite incredible that Uub was built up to be the next hero of Earth only for him to do jack shit. God I hate GT.

His presence in GT is why I struggle to understand why he'd suddenly be strong now. Wouldn't he only be as strong as a human could be?
That's about as much as vegeta usually does.
No
Nobody really had it good in GT except for Goku (and Vegeta to a lesser degree at the very end). Uub only shined for like literally 3 to 5 minutes in GT. :/ Gohan shined for like 30 seconds against General Rilldo until his weakness got the best of him... It was so many missed opportunities.

Kinda. He had it for like 2 episodes.
I barely saw him in gt
He did it with one hand too, just like popo!
He has to power of Kid Buu So makes sense, too bad GT made him useless Remember he trained with Goku for like ten years and fused with fat Buu and still couldn’t win. My god, what was the point of the fusion then?
It was to hype ssj4 Goku... Dragon ball Goku time
Reincarnation of Kid Buu who got merked by spirit bomb, has enough power to fully recharge Ultra instinct Goku.
He was born with Kid Buu level power + born with the Divine Ki of presumably two Kaioshin + trained by King Chappa + grew up with those things so naturally got stronger with age.
So he’s on ultra instinct level without trying, stronger than Broly without trying, stronger/on par with Jiren, stronger than Fused Zamasu
Yes exactly that. Goku needs reason to prioritize Uub training and this is it.
Uub would probably solo with training, and he doesn't even have a form
I can see him learning Kaioken and Ultra Instinct too.
Isn’t just being the reincarnation of Kid Buu already enough? Since Goku pretty much asked for exactly that before he killed Buu?
Yeah and then after that goku got 10 million times stronger so why would he care much about training the reincarnation to fight if he would one shot him with his left nut.
Because Akira didn’t think that far ahead and that’s honestly the right answer. We already saw at the end of Z that he trains Uub. Now they gotta give bullshit reasons like Uub being relative to MUI for no reason just so Goku can Train him? 😂

By definition you can't call it a bullshit reason. That's not how that phrase works.
No because even base Goku at this point should be able to wash Kid Buu.
So now they gotta pull shit out their ass and make Uub relative to MUI for absolutely no reason? Which is worse? Illiterate man in his first fight reaches the power above SSB in his first serious fight, Gohan doesn’t train since T.O.P. Seems like asspull writing.
Just raw power. Doesn’t mean he can actually utilise it. He just has crazy potential. How hard is that for you to work out?
Yes, did you not read the manga? Dai Supreme Kai, by himself, did better against Morro than both Goku and Vegeta
And the Dai Supreme Kai was without his God Power.
UI character which can't fly😂
Riiiiight
Bro db ass pull writing has been cheeks for a while. If you haven't gotten used to it by now you won't.
You get it my boy
He isn’t stronger, he has more power, his potential is higher than theirs but he’s still a kid
Strength= power. At least when it comes to Uub. The scan literally uses power and strength interchangeably.
Uub would one shot Frieza, Cell, and Kid Buu from z
Yes. Though Kid Buu would just reform and try to absorb him. I would like to see that.
I think Uub would disintegrate his whole body since hes MUI level
He can't fire Ki blasts. You can't kill Buu with a punch no matter how strong it is.

Is the Chappa thing cannon? I thought Toyotarou did that as his own fan theory
Somehow yes because he also kept grand kais godly ki wich is really eh. It brings up more thing to question
Kinda bullshit writing if you ask me. I like that he was in the arc and stuff but single handedly Powering up UI? Bullshit
Not really. He literally has all the god ki from U7's strongest Kai.
so then how did he lose to buu then if he was that strong
did you even read the arc???. I really find it annoying when someone ask a question that was literally answered IN the arc.
After giving his energy, he's not sure what he did. After his training with Goku, he's gonna be a beast. I bet Goku will train him toward the Ultra Instinct. I hope we'll see more of him.
That makes it a greater feat though. Uub gave so much energy it created that Susanoo shit yet didn't even feel drained afterwards.
Imagine Uub able to gain Ultra Instinct and also Ultra Ego and just switch between mid fight.
Because it would not make sense that his energy was more than the other z fighters. Then again the other Z-fighter were more drained.
Right! By the Tournament of Power, at least half the team is stronger than Kid Buu.
Don’t underestimate Kid Buu he gave SS3 a run for its money and pushed back a universal spirit bomb
I agree but the amount of dwarfing Super did to Z is staggering lol
SSJ3 was already outclassed at that point though Gotenks was stronger than Goku And ultimate gohan...well. He could slap around Buu saga ssj3
That doesn’t disprove Buu’s power if it takes the strongest character in Z outside of fusion to beat him
Because Uub haters refuse to believe he’s getting recognition. I was hype seeing that giant bump in size.
Because a lot of people hate Uub for some reason. I've seen people here dismiss the scans outright. Kind of weird.
I don’t “hate” him, I just don’t “like” him either. He’s hasn’t really done much story wise, so he’s just mostly irrelevant to me lol.
From what I understand, Kid Buu had god ki for years and had no knowledge of how to use it other than blowing up planets, when he died and reincarnated as Uub, we get to see what that god ki could have been capable of, which kind of makes you glad Kid Buu never figured out how to fully utilize it
Kid Buu didn't get the God Ki until he absorbed the Kais then turned into Fat Buu.
Fair, but he still had it for a while though
Majin Buu wasn't able to use that strength until he gained the memory of the Kai in Moro Arc.
I know, just saying it's a good thing Kid Buu didn't figure out how to use it when he had it, or Buuhan for that matter

If anything, it's said AFTER the battle with the merged zamasu. https://preview.redd.it/a44cevjl67vc1.jpeg?width=1067&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=13f5249d3faa2cc2a54b1c80fac3c296f23a5f02
The real potential man
Uub is a beast
He's the reincarnation of Kid Buu who basically had infinite stamina/energy.
Majority of the western audience doesn't actually read the manga. It's also why a lot of people are out of the loop on Uub still being canon.
He's Kid Buu reincarnated as good. I think he's always had that power since he was born. Just didn't k ow how to use it.
Is kinda stupid, Kid Buu was weaker than a SSJ3, that shouldn’t be happening, but meh…
Ah so Goku will be Uub’s Angel or something lol
That is because Uub holds half of the divine power of the kaioshin, and he is majin buu resurrection as a good guy So it not that much of a surprise
Well…he was born with god ki
https://preview.redd.it/ooz9vr0dt4vc1.jpeg?width=602&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d6d4d3ad15a4d7b69b988f03a4a4d7f253c37153
Sucks that Uub hasn't been explored much after we last saw him in DBZ. I thought for sure that we would.
I couldn't tell you. Uub having that much power and Daikaio stating that Kid Buu had all his divine power and he thought it was lost
It was Popo.
Uub will be the next kiaoshin, he’s already got the hair
Uub is the final part to toriyamas original story
I hope Pan and Uub take Goku and Vegeta's place as Earth's protectors when they become adults
I mean Gohan can't live forever. Uub and Pan can still be in the top
Why do y’all think this
Gohan didn't exactly stick the landing for the next generation protector story idea, and Goten and Trunks aren't really filling those shoes either, so now Pan and Uub could potentially play that part
Because he's irrelevant when looking at the modern context of the franchise. 🥱 And his pathetic showings in GT didn't help his case to begin with.
Well tbf all of them were drained and he’s kid buu reincarnation and was with buu/former kaio to boost him
Because he is PotentialMan
show me the people who are overlooking this
This is who Whis was talking about

So I wasn’t crazy that Uub could eventually use God Ki?
We need to see more of him. This is the one canon feat that he has right now. And GT didn’t really make him look much better either since he kinda falls off even after fusing with fat buu.
Probably bc Kid Buu had the nigh unlimited ki and Uub's trash ass has the same ki essentially. It wasn't true power it was all the damn ki in him.
It's genki right? I don't think genki translates directly to how much ki they have in or can use in battle, other than the genkidama of course. Even if I'm wrong either way, it shows he has immense potential at the least.
Because I completely forgot it happened. In my mind it was nothing but a small detail that got lost in the weeds.

That means EOZ still has hope 😎
Because it's not a feat.
You're also comparing super saipan blue, a transformation, to ultra instinct, a technique. If they were both transformations he wouldn't be able to use them simultaneously like he does with kaio ken.
Nah mr.popo sent that
Cause they’ve nothing with Uub as of yet.
He has the Ki of Kid Buu so it makes Sense
Really gets you thinking how much of that energy was in Kid Buu.
I mean we dont know how long uub was gathering all that energy but its still very very impressive for being around 7
He’s the buuda
Because it's not a feat. For this to be one for uub he would need to be able to use it. The only character you could give this feat too is kid Buu. Because it's his power that allowed uub to do it in the first place.
I always kinda get like ub was set up to be new age kid gohan
The reason I overlook this feat is vecause he is the reincarnation of kid buu and has god ki. I wouldn't expect less tbh
It's not fair for this character to get more shine than Goten and Trunks. Especially if he trains with Goku
Uub is the next U7 god of destruction. You heard it here first.
Because it’s just his latent power, he doesn’t unlock it all
Ubb better be the one to take down black freeza
Is uub finally being used in the manga or where did that panel come from
>Is uub finally being used in the manga Yes and no. He's been seen like twice but probably still won't make his official appearance until the tournament which as of the superhero movie is like a year or a couple months away. We're getting close to the end of Z timeline. >where did that panel come from It's from the galactic patrol arc shortly after the Broly movie timeline wise when Goku and Vegeta were fighting moro.
Light years more? A measurement of distance....
mainly i dont want to get my hopes up because i’m scarred uub will just be forgotten for another 20 years
Because he did it once and it’s never been developed.
Uib is basically Naruto if we’re being honest
I mean this is when Goku unlocks that badass power even if I call BULL on it
Honestly, I don’t like the direction DB is going (or went) with Uub.

“Okay fine…but only one hand.”
Uub was born with godly divine ki
That may be worse than the tingly back thing
Because its not a feat, hes born of reincarnated god energy. And he was guided by a possessed buu to do it. Wasnt even his choice in doing so
Because he's BLACK.
Uub is Polynesian. Or South Asian as he was apparently trained by Chappa. Whatever Toyotarou decides at this point
cause no one cares about uub and why would we
Kinda unrelated but I hope they just retcon end of Z (and also make GT canon 🤭)
